Had an amazing weekend camping and rafting. The staff were all fantastic, the food was great (except breakfast), and the entertainment was perfect. We already cant wait for our trip next year!

The guides in the boat would be extremely nice, open, funny and organized. You could absolutely trust them and you felt very safe. It was extremely fun and I like to come back !!

I recently took a trip with these fine folks. White water rafting. Giant blue blow up boats. Charismatic staff were the strong highlight. Awesome food, except that weird quinoa thing.. just not for me. Overall super fun times. Highly recommended. Wubalubadubdub!

Impressed. Tour Guides will excellent. Food was plentiful and good variety. Disco Sat. Night dance was a blast. Extra activities fun, many free e.g. Paddle Boarding. All staff were professional and pleasant. Very clean - from kitchen/dining room to bathrooms. An A+ experience.

Had a great time on a school rafting trip! They all clearly know what they are doing and make it super fun and exciting! It's a great time for anyone who enjoys a bit of adventure even if you don't know how to swim!

Water level was high. Made for an excellent trip. Had a group of air paddlers but you can't help that.

The first evening was a little confusing and frustrating as we weren't given all the information we needed to get to where everything was taking place.After that the accomodation was clean had a coffeemaker and small fridge but it was very warm at night for sleeping.A stand up portable fan was available and a ceiling fan but they just didnt cut it for keeping cool.The meals were great,more than enough for one person.The two days of rafting were awesome.Around 7 rapids the first day and 3 the second day.The guides skill set was amazing.Their passion for the river is wonderful.Their main priority is safety for all.Big shout out to Vivah especially,she was our guide.She was personable and funny and it made for a very pleasant day.The second day Noah and Connor were our guides and did a good job.All in all a great experience for us 3 first time rafters.Would like to be able to stay on the new site when its completed.Will definately return,hopefully annually as long as I'm able.

For the second year in a row a group of us have done the rapid tour. Each year the weather, river and guide make it a different experience. We all had a great time: some of our group were doing it for the first time and other have done it many times. Each time the guides ask seem to be really into it rather than just doing a job. Looking forward to next year!

There to kayak. Great value for money for camping and food. Good facilities, friendly staff. They need to get calcium down on their gravel road sections and get some professional advise on maintaining their roads. Dust problem through RV camping area was nuts.

Excellent experience!! Would love to go again! Our tour guide was absolutely outstanding !! Felt safe and it was a blast. Have to say the shire lunch was very tastely. - wasn't sure what to expect but please don't change a thing. Those burgers were clearly home made and fresh!! All the guides were fabulous and so entertaining !! Thank you so much for a very memorable experience!

Tons of fun activities outside of rafting. Staff are great and Joel brings a ton of energy to it all. Well run operation. Wicked times on the Ottawa river

I had such a fun time here! I have always wanted to go rafting on the Ottawa River and was able to do that with WT! Those rapids are FAST.

I wish we could have had a photo with our gear on by the rapids for my little team (2). I would have liked that

We had a great time with my friends. The rafting is well put together, safe and organized. I was visiting from Toronto, it is a long drive, I strongly suggest to stay the night after your activity.

Really fun experience white water rafting down the Ottawa River. The guides we're very knowledgeable and experienced and made us always feel safe while we were on our adventure. Highly recommended this tour group

Had a great 2 day trip rafting. Chris R aka Skeletor, was a friendly, knowledgeable guide when we were on the 12 man boats. The 6 man guide your own gave us a great chance to get out feet wet and run some easier rapids with some guidance

Awesome whitewater rafting tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed the family gentle rafting tour! The guides were very friendly and professional, lunch was delicious and beer icy cold. The entire tour was well organized, no surprises and no hidden cost.

What an amazing trip for everyone! We had a group of 9 of us for a gentle family rafting trip...the kids loved it (4 of them ages 7-9)...the food was good...in the evening at the resort, the beer was cold and the music was live... it was fabulous!

Staff is wonderful! Cabins are overpriced. Would like at least one outlet in the cabin. Food was good, alot of repeat the next day.

Nice location west of Ottawa and can handle a very large corporate group. Food is good and steak for dinner was really good.

I went with my family of four and our best friends' family of five for the gentle family day trip. It was aMAYzing. The crew were pros, took care of all our needs and most important our safety, and when our littlest swimmer felt scared after body surfing, Matt W. dove right in to help her. A brilliant day and we highly recommend it for anyone.

Absolutely loved the weekend I spent here, clean buildings and camp grounds, amazing food, superb staff and the best all was the rafting and bungee jump.

Whitewater rafting was great! The guides were knowledgeable. Waiting for the bus was slightly excessive.

The resort was nice and the staff were all pretty friendly. We stayed in the log cabin which I would highly recommend. Our biggest issue was the food. Even though we paid for the "meal package" this needed to be followed with a very strict and unforgiving itinerary. The portions were small and the quality was average at best. Certainly not worth what they were charging. Purchasing the meal plan was mandatory and often times we were restricted to one portion per person which resulted in us having to purchase food from the outside.

Rafting was incredible but the "resort" was far from it. River guide staff were amazing but I cannot say the same for most of the resort staff. Many were rude and the resort was a mess. Bathrooms were disgusting and meals were mediocre. Everything about the adventure was great and it is unfortunate that the resort could not be great as well.

A group of us went for a Wilderness Trip last year and im planning to go again with my friends this summer. Needless to say, we had an astonishing day trip boating last year, our guide made it such a great amount of good times for our entire gathering. Austin was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the history of the river that we're at. Our tour guide amused us with funny stories and gave us an amazing amount of time to have fun with the rapids. The peaks and valleys of calm waters and crazy rapids was just amazing. Despite the massive harsh water slapping you on the face once in a while, the whole trip down the river was neat. We went swimming, cliff diving and there is a 'lazy river' too. Of course, I also enjoyed the free refreshing beer in the end.

What a great experience! The family had a great time and the lunch that was included was great! The place and view is beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful! The merging of the company name was a bit confusing to find but overall a great trip!

Been here 5 times. 4 times on my own with friends and once with my family. Still a great place to experience the rapids!

Such an amazing time! The most fun I've had in a loong time!! The staff are so much fun and full of personality! Two days of white water rafting fun, bungie jumping and a beautiful chalet and accommodations! I highly recommend it to anyone from families, buddies or a weekend getaway for a couple. Loved it! Chip and Joel are awesome and the founder Joe followed up with us personally from our comment card too :)

I stayesd for the long weekend in August. From panoramic views to high adventure bungee and rafting, Wilderness tours makes a booklist worthy experience !

Cabins and amenities are simple. River rafting (guided) is great.

Had a great experience here. The staff was great, the rapids were wild and the camp grounds and facilities were clean.

One of the issues we had was that the go pros that we rented weren t fully charged. They died about half hour after we were on the water. Make sure you ask if it was charged

We had a great time rafting with Wilderness Tours. We were lucky with the time of year we went (a rainy July), it was ideal for rough, fast moving water in some points. We did not expect such a rough water experience nor did we appreciate the potential danger until the safety instructions, and once on the water the reality set it. Also, one of our boats flipped dislodging half its occupants - the safety instructions saved them from a wet nap. The instructors are fantastic.

Amazing rafting and a really fun experience overall

Amazingly fun experience and loads if activities to do at the resort. The trip should surely keep you packed for two days.

Wilderness Tours is an excellent organization. They donate to various organizations that I volunteer for. The staff are knowledgeable and always provide a great experience for people taking their tours

Really enjoyed our time at wilderness tours. Good food, decent accomodations and great whitewater rafting.

Amazing place! Everything was top notch...... the guides (Sandra,, she was a lot of fun) the wait staff the food (the ribs and maple beans were my fav) the games the cabins (simple but they served the purpose) the beverage at the end of rafting day and of course the rafting. It was my first time there this year and I am planning on returning next year!

Wilderness tours is an awesome experience! Bring a bunch of friends, camp out and raft in a 12 man or 6 man boat!
We have always had great guides especially Chris and Madison. Both made our rafting days fun and hilarious!!!!
You get to meet people from all over, food included in package is delicious and there is lots to do. They could update their bathrooms and changing facilities which is the only reason I give 4 stars.

Ottawa River adventures took my 80 year old dad and I whitewater raft fishing for the day. It was amazing experience. Great trip, super safe for whitewater rafting, comfortable casting platforms to sit on and cast from. Bill was knowledgeable and knew exactly where all the big fish were hiding. Great value, great trip!!!!!!

The ottawa river is great for rafting. We went in the summer and the water temperature was perfect to escape the heat in pockets. These guys organize a great tour as well. The guides are super fun and they you to some great spots for swimming and cliff jumping into the river.
The lunch they organize is also pretty good, better than other rafting spots I have been to. They are a bit pricey but its worth it.
Overall, fully recommended.

We had a group of 6. White water rafting was something we all heard good things about but we've never tried it before so none of us knew what to expect going in (thought it was literally just a 20 min ride down the river and that was that). Our buddy booked it for us so we went into it with no expectations. The whole experience was great. We had a private raft with a party of 6 and ended up having one of the most memorable experiences of our lives (If you are not prepared to flip over into the water, a 12-person raft would probably be a better choice for you).

Rod aka HotRod, aka Oldballz, was an exceptional guide. He played such a big part as to why we had such a great time. His experience, humour, and overall enjoyment for life rubbed off on all of us. Rod gave us nothing but good vibes. From the initial bus ride, to grabbing equipment and walking to the river, to learning about safety and basics, to riding the waves, everything was done properly. I wasn't the strongest swimmer, but felt very safe even though flipping over about 5 times (Rod made sure we got to experience the flips ;) Our day trip consisted of lots of rafting, a bbq lunch, jumping off the cliff, and enjoying what the resort had to offer later. Leaving in the evening back to Toronto, we were happy to be alive, exhausted, and created many fond memories. We'll be back. ROD WE SEE YOU!

Amazing day with the family...our rafting guide was awesome! I first visited 15 yrs ago with my parents and had such a great experience I brought my children this year...we will definitely be coming again!

Everything about wilderness tours is fun and enjoyable!

Just came back from a trip with a Grade 8 class group of 40 plus...
They handled our group plus a family with no issues at all!
It was a great experience altogether, friendly staff, very knowledgeable and food was fantastic!
The warm showers and hot tub were very appreciated after a long day on the river.
Strongly recommend this as a must on your family or group bucket list!

Was just there with 19 people ranging from ages 8-50+. I have never been rafting with Wilderness before but did with Owl a long time ago when I was young. This was the first time for the rest of my group. We stayed in those log cabins (luxury ones). It was much better then staying in a tent, but I could of gotten better accommodations there. I know for next time! We got the meal plan which fed us 3X a day. The food was plentiful and very good. Not sure what the complaints on line were about. We had three boats and we did the family rafting as my kids are still young. After the first night I was not happy due to a wedding on site and the loudness of the young people who partied all night long. The day after we did our rafting. My guide was Connor. He was fantastic! He made all those bad things go away and my experience at Wilderness was 5+. I forgot why I was angry. Safety is number one priority for them, they make sure you have a great time. The resort is great because they have this beautiful main lodge that has exposed wood trust and beams. Its so beautiful in there. Fire pit all day long. Volleyball, Basketball, Outdoor Pool and Hot Tubs. They have this wonderful dock by the bungee jump that is just amazing for everyone to relax and enjoy. We made new friends there a well. Wilderness Tours is situated in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Ontario. The activities, food and rafting and its staff is first class. Its worth what you pay. People need to understand that you are in the middle of no where, you are not in Toronto/Ottawa etc. We were there for 3 days and all 3 days my kids didnt once pick up their Ipads,my mission was accomplished! They were out enjoying what the resort had to offer and it was fabulous. We came up as a group of 19, the next time I will bring up more! I recommend this place for everyone of all ages, and your guaranteed to have the most amazing memorable time like my family and friends did this past weekend.

Was overall a tiny bit disheartened with our tour, especially since we researched thoroughly on which rafting trip to pick and Wilderness Tours does present itself as the best one on the web.

We chose the Extreme Ultimate Sport Raft Day Trip, yet personally the rafting itself wasn't what I'd call 'extreme'. We didn't really seem to spend a great deal of time surfing many rapids compared to how long we paddled in calm waters for. However, I understand my judgment of intensity is subjective and the water levels were high that day therefore we had to forfeit parts of the river.

The advertisement video states 'every river trip with Wilderness Tours offers our guests the chance to body surf, cliff jump...' None of those activities were offered to us which was a shame as we'd been looking forward to them.
There's also a 'post video' which was promised on the website and hyped up in previous reviews. The video we were shown consisted 90% of irrelevant footage promoting other tour packages that WT offers... and 10% (60seconds) of bad quality footage of a few folk awkwardly eating a BBQ burger... Barely anyone was featured actually rafting and our group, among many others, weren't shown at all.

Having little to no digital memories of a special day you paid a lot of money for was a massive let down. If we'd have known this in advance we would have arranged our own. I figured something might have happened behind the scenes or maybe the water level affected this also. However if you can't offer the same package you normally do, then why not lower the price?

Despite the let downs we did overall have a good day hence the 3 stars. The rafting guides had great energy among them, and seemed to really go out of their way to make the trip as exciting as possible. They definitely knew their stuff and I'd imagine they could make even the most timid feel safe. The staff are definitely one of WT's strongest assets.

The resort was expensive for drinks which to be fair was expected, but it had a great atmosphere that offered decent entertainment as well lots of activities; we had fun using the kayaks on the lake until dusk.

Our group had a fantastic time at the Wilderness Tours facility. We enjoyed camping in the field, floor hockey, a bon fire, single track mountain biking and of course white water rafting. The staff continuously went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, particularly Katie at the front desk who helped us navigate some of our trickier logistical concerns, and Collin our river guide who was an absolute beauty.

Better then Disneyland...it's fun for the whole family!!!

My group of 5 went rafting yesterday. Our guide was Gavin! OMG! we had so much fun and laughter between us all. Gavin Rocked! he was fun, knowledgeable, overall cool person. Ask for Gavin is all I will insist that he be your guide .He made this experience what it was..... FUN FUN FUN

Loved the rafting location! But thought the pace was too slow...there would be times when we were in one place for 10 to 15 minutes waiting around...in the 4 hrs timeslot that we were in, I felt like the actual time spent rafting was 1.5 hrs...

It was alright, a long walk from the cabins to the main place and no wifi in the cabins
