This passed canada day will have been my 6th time going to wilderness tours for rafting. Many things have changed over the years, many improvements. The staff are nice, friendly and work very hard. Shout out to Drew, our rafting guide. He definitely knew what he was doing on the river and made the day with his personality. The food is always great, and there is always something to do whether its volleyball or mountain biking.

Camp sites are flat ground with non-potable water refill stations. Well maintained, very clean, and very spacious. Fire pits are available, and there are picnic tables around too. Showers and flush bathrooms are available at the lower pavilion by the river, but the upper pavilion only has outhouses. It was September so the store/restaurant was closed for the season, but there are places to out a 15 minute drive out of the camp site.

We booked a rafting trip at RiverRun rafting for J...

We booked a rafting trip at RiverRun rafting for June 27th. Because it was off season the trip took place at their sister company Wilderness tours. The rafting itself was nice, but we had to make a complaint about the trip, because of the group composition. The trip was combined with a school trip consisting of about 25 teenagers. Our raft was shared with 2 other guests (adults) and 6 teenagers. We did not know this in advance. At the start we assumed the teenagers will go on their own being a school group.

Just before entering the raft we found out we had to share our raft with the kids. During the trip they were very loud and generally screaming to each other and the kids on the other boats (as can be expected from a group of teenagers). And it was a long 6 hours. We felt like being part of the school trip, which we basicly were, as the adults were the ones paddling the boat forward. At the instruction of the guide the adults took to paddling along the front and middle of the boat to be able to paddle in sync as the kids could/would not (they're kids can't blame them). They are so loud, imaging a half hour screaming contest about who OMG hooked up with who in a show called the vampire diaries.

This ruined the experience for us, because we could not enjoy being in the raft, the rapids and the beautiful surroundings as much as we anticipated. And was definitely not what we signed up for.

We would have preferred to know at least in advance that we had to share the raft, or better being in a seperate raft. Us two and the two other adults in the group would rather have been in the smaller 6p raft instead of in the raft with the teenagers. They should have propose this option to us in advance. It is the most expensive activity of our holiday and afterwards we were disappointed as it was not the experience we expected.

We told this after the rafting trip to our tour guide. He gave us the advice to sent an email. Which we did, multiple times. We didn t get any reply, not even an excuse.

I m very disappointed in RiverRun and Wilderness Tours.
Don t book a trip with them, since earning money is apparently more important as customer experience and service.

I had an amazing time here with my coworkers. There are a lot of activities to take part in with their main focus on white water rafting and kayaking. Their cabins are decent. The 'luxury' ones come with wifi and a washroom, but don't expect it looking like a hotel room. If you need to charge you and your friends devices, bring a small and not too complicated power bar as there are only two outlets in the washroom.

Amazing rafting experience, we took the sports package and with our guide Chaz, we couldn't have had a better time. Chaz knew exactly what he was doing, we could tell he has had a ton of experience and very accommodating. We baught the video and picture simply because he put us in awesome positions for the photos. After reviewing the video, our raft had the most excitement!

Just got home from an unforgettable weekend at Wil...

Just got home from an unforgettable weekend at Wilderness Tours. Hands down the standalone highlight of the experience are the river guides, who are experts at what they do. I was in a 12 person raft with Adam as our main guide, and Eric who hopped in for our decent through 'The Collie' (short for The Colosseum; a particularly stout section of the river where carnage happens.) This is where rafts flip, and you can die if you aren't careful and don't know what you're doing.

Thankfully, Adam (and Eric) knew exactly what they were doing the entire time. While dropping into some of the first rapids before entering The Collie, Adam controlled the boat using simple commands, and we listened. We worked well as a team, which instilled confidence in Adam, so he felt comfortable leading is through some more extreme sections. During the calm sections between rapids, Adam kept the energy in the boat engaging with his sense of humour, humble demeanour, and expert knowledge.

The support staff on-site were also very friendly and helpful, which added to the experience.
Food was good, vegetarian options available. I demolished the two pancakes I was given on Sunday morning, and easily could've crushed four more, but who's kidding who, no one needs six pancakes.

There are many activities to keep you entertained when you're not rafting, including a basketball court, floor hockey rink, bungee-jumping, pool, hot tub, bar, bicycles to rent, kayaks, and SUP boards. Oh, and gigantic chess, which has seen better days.

There are wetsuits available for free, and I guess they're better than nothing, but when we picked them up they were a little dank. Not sure what a solution might be.. maybe a room with a giant dehumidifier - throw them in there for the night.
On that note, I'm off to bed.

Thanks again WT

Awesome time. Did the 6 man raft with friends. Had g-ball as our guide, highly recommend him as a guide. If you go request a riverrun guide they are the best. Wilderness guides are to young and don't know how to have fun and are not working as a team for safety. If it wasn't for g-ball would of given a 2 star. #rivrerunguideforlife

Had a great time only complaint is that there was easy too much waiting because the group was so large.. next time I would do it again but with a different tour operator. Lots of other operators that didn't have 15 boats going down the same time.. I would recommend to shop around and see who else is offering this tour

Great setup for a weekend experience, the days and events were well planned out and fantastic rafting experience. The only complaint I would say is the quality of food for the meals provided, were sub par but given the price of the entire weekend were tolerable.

I've been to WT with my family every 2 years or so and keep coming back ever more impressed each facilities, people moving and friendly faces all top notch. I'll say our experience with Betty yesterday was so incredibly fantastic but it doesn't surprise me as we've always had great experiences with every guide we've had at WT! As a side note, we unfortunately had a "situation" where a rafter in another boat had a serious problem. I'll say he walked away BECAUSE WT has a really effective safety protocol and after seeing it in action I wouldn't hesitate and will be going again next year!

I could write a book about this place. It was our third visit... but first with our kids. That happens sometimes... you take a break to have kids. But we are back... and this time we met the owner. We even took pictures. He is Polish like my wife.

I have read many reviews about this place. But I'm Italian... and I like to be fed. It kinda makes me forget about the little things that don't really matter when you visit a High Adventure Resort like this.

I strongly recommend this place... if you wanna have a lot of fun with your family and kids... and we want to be fed well.

People come from all over the world to ride the rapids of

Our weekend stay here was incredible and everything we had hoped for. The staff was super friendly and the camp grounds were great.

The rafting was super fun and our guide made our trip so memorable.

The only complain I had was that the lunch and dinner were not very good and was very little.

We had a great time as a family of 4. The resort had everything we could have wanted - kayaks, sup, Tarzan ropes, slides. The rafting was perfect and took the gentle ride which was perfect for the whole family including a 6 year old. Other families had teens who were still having fun. The only complaint is the night time noise. The parties didn't shut down until 3:30 each night even though noise was supposed to get quiet at 11. Beyond that it was a great time and will do it again.

Most of the staff, especially the useless guides on the boring rafting trip, were rude, impolite, impatient and incredibly disrespectful when we re just trying to have a fun, safe, memorable time.

First rafting day was ok but the second was so slow and boring that we actually couldn t wait to just end it. You couldn t sneeze without the one scrungy dirty blonde guy screaming at you for apparently doing something wrong??

Lots of drunks constantly stumbling around at all hours of the day and night, yelling, screaming, swearing profusely. We barely slept all weekend, there wasn t a single quiet moment, music and shouting of all sorts until 5am and then starts all over again at 7am. Saw 2 big fights which surprised me that the cops weren t called.

Definitely NOT the slightest bit a kid or family friendly environment. The other families just seemed very uncomfortable there around the resort with the constant drunks and stoners, screaming and picking fights. Was just a terrible experience and won t even dream of returning or recommending the place to anyone else.

The food was surprisingly pretty good though (cooks were good and friendly and deserve a raise just for that) and the drive there was nice. That s honestly the only remotely positive things I can think of about the place.

Wilderness tours is an amazing experience! I Love it here and have been a satisfied customer 7 times. The resort is well maintained, the staff is on point and the food is good. On the river the guides are knowledgeable, entertaining and have great guiding skills. Back at the resort there is a pool and a couple hot tubs, a couple bars. For those wanting be be a little more adventurous there's a rock wall at the base of a 150 foot bungee jump. The bungee is super scary ( more so the climb up) and a great adrenaline rush. (I've jumped here 7 times) I really can't wait to go back!

The resort has a casual fun atmosphere. The staff are very accommodating. We had a minor medical issue arise during our stay and they were very helpful. The food is plentiful and decent. The coffee in the restaurant (included in the dinner package) is not very good. Higher quality eapresso based drinks and better tea are available for purchase from the coffee bar. If you want somewhere quiet to stay book an eco cabin or ask for the quiet campground. We didn't know about the quiet camping optjon until after one very noisy late night at the regular campgound. We stayed there for our second night and enjoyed a much better aleep

Fantastic experience. The rafting guides are very experienced and made the most of the features of the rapids.
The food was surprising good. Was not expecting that from a mass kitchen set-up.
Looks like this new location is under some upgrades.

Great rafting experience, great guides, and lots of other things to do too.
Vegetarians get a little short changed on the food (there isn't always a vegetarian replacement for the meat option) but other than that it's great.

For our first time rafting, we couldn t have had a better guide. Berto explained everything really well, and he was hilarious. Being able to change to a 6 man boat was the best choice we made, because we got the full experience of the rapids. It was intense, but super fun. We also liked that there were opportunities to cool off and go for a swim. We enjoyed all the different sports on site, and the nightlife was great too!

Went to check Wilderness Tours for my best friends bachelor party this past long weekend. Had a lot of fun. The rafting is well put together, safe and organized, the food was included and pretty good, and the vibe of the staff was very relaxed and unpretentious. There was also many other sports and activities on site. We stayed in the cabins which aside from getting warm during the day were perfectly acceptable, but if you want you can also camp.

Awesome and a different experience each time. The river is never the same each of the 10x I've been. Whether is the river, the guide, the group, 12 person raft or 7 sportsman raft, you can go several times and have a very unique experience. BUT the service is always the same... EXCELLENT and attentive! I also feel our safety is their number one so I've never hesitated bringing my children and their friends. I brought them from age 14 onwards. I believe it helps give them confidence and self assuredness and self awareness. Always a memorable experience!

Had a great time at wilderness tours. Did the classic resort tour, one day rafting the other making use of their facilities. They have beach volleyball, horseshoe, rock climbing, pool, hot tub, bungee jumping, beach with kyaks and paddle boards. The instructors were great for the rafting. Only issue is that there is no campfires allowed at your camp site which is unfortunate.

Awesome time on the river. First day self guided tour was fun and initially scary but the various guides and support staff on kayaks were there to take very good care of us. Our second day tour rafting guide Conor was evidently experienced at rafting as well as informative about all things Ottawa River, and also knew how to make sure we were having a really good time. The resort is well taken care of; the wristbands are a great way to keep things flowing well. Food was good, especially ribs on rib night and the potato leek soup that was served on one of the river trips. Good beer and drink selection, fun time on the dance floor, live music and firepit outside on the patio are a nice touch; lots of room for everyone. The facilities for basketball and other sports are perfectly located and well equipped, it's fun to watch the bungee jumping, great scenery all around. Awesome giant shared fire pit, ample campsites, easy to have a good time, resort bathrooms are clean, even the outhouses are well kept. Staff are all very easy going, and the resort seems very eco-friendly, but not so much you can't just be yourself. Really fun experience in our group of 9 friends. Highly recommend. Only gave it a 4 star because one of our coolers was stolen while we slept.

Wilderness Tours whitewater rafting was amazing. We had a spectacular trip leader and a phenomenal guide leader. Our group consisted of 3 couples on one sports raft. Our guide was really laid back and tailored how much or little we did to what he thought we'd like and it was perfect.

Went here for a white water rafting trip, incredible experience with lots of laughs with our guide Chaz. The photos which were provided by the group were excellent! Stopping for a jump in the rapids and some minor cliff jumping was also fantastic. The daily meals were very well portioned and food was great! Rooms were just 2 bunk beds in each room which is really all you need, but be advised its definitely no Fairmont Hotel.

Waves are looking Spicy today!

Waves are looking Spicy today!
I went white water rafting with a group for three days during summer and our guide was charismatic and he knew his job very well. First day were 12 man boats then 6 man and 2 man. I recommend 6 man boats for the best fun. 12 man boats aren't a huge adrenaline rush and 2 man boats just flip all the time.

They have a small pool and a couple hot tubs. They weren't that that well maintained and usually there was only one hot tub filled at a time. They also have bungee jumping although they require a group of minimum 5 to call in the jump crew. The cost is 100$/ person.

They have several camp grounds for rowdy or quiet groups of people. The there's an option to have meals included during your stay.

You can link your credit to your bracelet which makes transactions simple. (Can be dangerous when you're drinking)

Their boutique has snacks, t-shirts and water shoes among other things.

Great staff, excellent white rafting, decent food, ok facilities.
