We stayed 2 nights in one of the cabins, which was well taken care of and clean when we got there. The overall service at Wilderness was excellent and there was plenty for the kids to do. The shuttles were quick and convenient. We've stayed there twice before in other lodging options and have never been disappointed yet.

My family of four stayed here. My boy's are age 5 / 10. They loved it and want to go back again. Be prepared for long walks between all the pools. If you go during a less busy time, not all the slides are open, even if the water park is open. The wave pool is quite scary for me as a mom. I'd put your kids in a life jacket even if they can swim. We spent an evening there and two times the lifeguards hit the emergency stop button. One time a guard actually dove in. They have six guards watching but really keep your kids under supervision even older kids. The waves get big. The hurricane ride is really crazy. Very fun but not for those who get scared by thrill rides.

I have never had a bad experience. It is a great spot for families, and if you book ahead you can't beat a hotel room for $109 that includes access to 6 waterparks, free parking, and free wifi in June when its 85 degrees outside. The waterparks never feel crowded, and you don't have to face many lines if you go during the week. The extra are not that cheap, but you don't have to eat food in the hotel if you don't want to. I don't think that many of the rides would be good for thrill seekers, but for someone like me who doesn't enjoy rollercoasters they are perfect.

What a blast! Drove from the Detroit area to visit. Shared a 3 bdrm condo with another family. There was 9 of us. Condo was fantastic! Never waited more than 5 minutes for a shuttle. We stayed 5 nights and still didn't get in all the fun there is to do. Even the teenagers had so much fun. Every staff member I came across was friendly and courteous. Snack bars were expectantly high priced, but the combo deals were a good deal. If your staying more than 3 days, get the souvenir cup for the 99cent refills. Lost World was the adults favorite park, kids loved Wild West and Waterdome. Swim up bar was great too!! I do hope we come back again soon!!

Poor customer service. Parking policies are completely inflexible and unreasonable. Had to walk 20+ minutes to get a pass to put in my car in the freezing cold after spending a ton of money on a room. Just silly.

Excellent place, lots of fun. Only down sides are, everything is so spread out, you will be doing A LOT of walking... And the price is STUPID HIGH for anything you buy at the resort... $30 per person, for a buffet. $8 for a single beer... Stop at Walmart on the way, and grab some stuff and have a great time

You can't go to the water park or associated swim up bar unless you stay at the hotel. It does not say this on the website. Nor, is it posted anywhere inside. When we inquired about this we we're treated with annoyance.

We stayed here overnight on 11/30 on our way home from visiting family in Minneapolis. We had stayed here a few times quite a few years ago, and this was our all time favorite Wisconsin Dells resort. So, we decided to surprise the kids with a spontaneous stop. We surprised by how much the resort had aged over the last few year, but still enjoyed the waterpark with our 2 children. We then decided to have a meal at Survivors Bar and Grill around 8 pm. The food was very good, but we were extremely shocked and upset by the atmosphere! There were 4 adults sitting at the bar extremely intoxicated. They were so drunk they were cussing and arguing and the male was so emotional he was crying at times. They were loud and constantly inappropriate conversations, and the bartender continued to serve them throughout our meal. It got to the point that I took my children to the hall to wait while my husband paid the bill and boxed up the rest of our food. I just expected a more family friendly environment at a waterpark hotel!

Quite expensive for gramma and grandpa to go spend 4 hrs at the water park with the grandkids....$90....when we even had purchased a room for my daughter and soninlaw and the boys to spend the nite as a Christmas present....$225....we just came up for a few hours to c them swim and have some fun....oh well, they had us....

This is the water park/resort where it never gets old. In fact, it gets new! I don't know exactly when they made improvements, but I do know that the last time I went there they had this new thing where if you got a bar code scanned on you water park pass, you could set up some sort of gamer tag to use these tubes where when you ride some of the slides you press buttons according to the lights in the slides. And not only is it an amazing water park, it's a nice hotel as well. They also have go karts, laser tag, ropes course, and an arcade, all super fun! If you want more excitement, go in the summer and have access to there outdoor water parks! (Note: my pictures are from different times I have visited)

Our family loves this place! Once here, we never have to leave to go anywhere else... the indoor & outdoor waterparks are wonderful for all ages, snack shacks, cocktail shacks, towels, restaurants, shuttles- is all here. The condos & villas have full kitchens, too!

I purchased my timeshare at wilderness resort in 2008. I wasn t sure how it all actually worked but after staying there a few different times it was worth the purchase. The water parks are amazing and to have something to do rain or shine and you never have to leave the resort is the best

This was my eighth year going to the Wilderness resort and staying in the villas all though I had a spectacular time I would not rate it five stars due to the fact that my villa was haunted 212C during the stay my whole family experience paranormal stuff like Figures and voices and even steps and I know many won't believe me but if you were there and saw What we saw you would be freaking out too I also have videos and pictures of the "Villa ghost" so if you want to contact me to see the pictures and videos just email me and I will be glad to answer and tell you my experience during those four days and three nights :) have a nice day.

The 3 water parks were nice, never needed to go outside. Rooms were clean and prices reasonable. Only complaint was cold in the waterpark area (other inside areas were actually warmer). Kids were shaking after an hour or so.

Kinda disappointed this year. The prices you pay you expect a lot more. The bathroom down stairs had dryed toothpase on the wall. The master bed room had a very small tv above the fireplace. Was very disappointed you could barly see it.We wanted to go back to the room and relax at the end of the night and watch tv

Rooms are very outdated. We stayed in a hotel that was not attached to the main hotel called cubbies cove. The room was very very very outdated. The wallpaper was old and creepy. The room smelled when we walked in. It was kind of creepy and we kept hearing noses and saw shadows. It was a very creepy room. The staff was ok and the kind of dirty. I will never go back.

Great time. Rooms were decently clean. Not 100%. Wish I would have been called sooner than 2 hours before checkout (stayed 4 nights) to do the tour if Glacier Canyon tour promotion but all in all a great experience. Friendly staff and GREAT drinks!

Lots of good water rides, plus lots of good non-water activities. Loses a star because everything is so far apart, although they do have shuttles to take you between them.

EDIT: After thinking about it, I'm bumping it up to 4 stars. It is a good value (especially if you stay in the cabins), and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

We had an awesome weekend. Food and drinks were very good. Some items were spendy but worth it. Some issues with broken water features and fitness center could use some updates. Kids loved the wave pool, go karts, and Lazer maze.

Great resort even in the winter. There is so much to do when you buy the unlimited fun pass. Indoor go carts, bumper boats, and mini golf we're a hit with our kids. Highly recommend Glacier Canyon as the 2 bedroom condo helped us stay flexible with the kids and control cost by having the full kitchen.

A lot of fun for the kids. It seems like the water parks are getting ran down a bit, paint chipping and just not as clean as it used to be. The prices are outrageous but that is to be expected I guess.

We stayed the beginning of October 2017. This was our 3rd time here. We have had such a great time, and we had tons of things to do. The pool area was always clean. There was an incident where a child had scraped his hand and was bleeding, Wild Waterdome staff immediately got everyone out of the pool and water areas, to clear up the situation. I thought that was awesome how quick they moved to make sure their water is always clean and ready to be swam in. This resort, if I got to choose, I would like to see be the first to offer a way for people in wheelchairs be able to get on the water slides, for example Raging Mammoths slide. I would build an elevator and would only give a key to the elevator to the guest that is in a wheelchair whom cannot climb stairs. This would be so awesome, because then I could take my sister on the waterslides.

Hotel room was ok, nothing special, we enjoyed the waterpark. The kids wanted
to paint pottery, we were shocked when the price was $71 for 2 small pieces, we had to tell the kids that was too much and unfortunately we couldn't do it, it was sad that they had to charge so much, buffet breakfast for 4 was $75, the only dissapointmet was that the cost, we spent so much money on our room that we couldn't afford anything else, it's a nice hotel, but way too expansive, lesson learned for next time!

My family and I come here every single year for New Year s. However, this year we did not enjoy like prior years. The rooms seem dingier than ever, and this is likely related to the fact that the cleaning crews don t actually clean the rooms. At least while you re staying they don t. The service has gone down from what it was in the past. We asked to have our room cleaned, then went out for the day. When we came back our room wasn t clean. As you can imagine this was upsetting, but not that big of a deal. We called down for some towels and it took almost an hour to get them (after three calls to guest services), which caused us to be late for our New Year s eve reservations for dinner. No apologies, just we re busy and doing the best we can.

While the new renovations are nice, they have driven the cost up. When I have to pay $50 for breakfast for a family of four that s insane, and there are no other options. In addition, they changed the fun pass and removed all the fun from it. The only thing my kids wanted to do on the fun pass was the go carts, but now that it s unlimited the go cart line is always so long it doesn t make sense. They have removed the laser maze laser tag, the two most popular attraction and made that something you pay $6 per try (insane). Not a good move, I doubt we will be back in future years. We used to come to Wilderness because of the value and service, but now we will be looking to other resorts such as Great Wolf or Kalahari!

I'M actually here right now enjoying the view with my family at the Klondike Kavern! Also enjoy the food at my favorite - Survivors Bar and Grill. Paul is the nicest waiter I've ever met!

Stayed in the Wilderness Lodge for two nights and had excellent service. Staff was mostly friendly. Saw just a few people that were not unkind, but had a bearing of "I'm stuck doing this Drudge job in a life I hate." Of course food prices were high in the resort, but we just brought our own breakfast, went to Culver's down the street and had pizza at night. Overall it was a good stay.

amazing place nice staff clean and well kept water parks with nice clean rooms and great thing and activity's to do:) the only thing out of the hole place is the 15 dollar buffet wasn't good but the entire rest of it was an awesome exprance we go every year

Amazing resort. Definitely one of the best if not the best place to stay in Wisconsin Dells. Fun pass is totally worth it, but still an awesome resort even without it. Only complaint is that 99% of the staff don't speak or understand English very well. However, if you can follow directions and read the information provided you shouldn't have too much of a problem.

We came from Kalahari resorts to change it up a bit. We stayed at the new frontier. Let's sum this up quickly. I left tire marks leaving the parking lot the very next morning and went strait to Mount Olympus outdoor water park. Worst $300 I ever spent and I felt I was owed something. My family was miserable, place was overcrowded, hallways were narrow, low lighting and everywhere we needed to go was a maze. Room was also small and narrow. At checkin I was almost conned into signing up for a timeshare condo. Wilderness is all about marketing, coupon booklets and way too many activities available not included in the stay. You think your getting all these good perks, but is falsified. The new frontier water park was horrible for my toddler and smaller kids. Turns out different parks there are tailored differently. This place just isn't for us.

Was not able to check in until 4 pm which no one monitored before hand and check out is at 11am. Paid extra to be on the ground floor closer to the pool not worth it at all with such a late check-in and early check out . Carpet in rooms were damp n gross . The most attractive theme park was closed, extremely disappointing especially because they had nothing to make up for this at all . The rest of the water parks were decent but not worth the $300 we paid for the 19 hours we were granted access to the room .

Used to be my favorite spot, and the most important parts (waterparks, restaurants, theme parks) still are! But the hotel is falling apart and the management doesnt care. We had no air conditioning until 930 PM on a 90 degree day and all the say is stuff happens, sorry! Go stay on the Glacier Canyon side, please if at all. I stayed here back on 1997 and the rooms have not been updated since. The waterparks get renovated with new slides and activities every year or two, but the rooms have not been touched. That is why everytime you stay, your bed is falling apart, your mini fridge doesn't work, your shower is gross and the air conditioner doesn't work. Sure the water park is awesome and the theme park has great games, go carts and laser tag, but you will hate having to go sleep in your room. The African place in town will never let you down with customer service, but isn't as big as Wilderness. If you stay here, expect terrible service, but a huge waterpark. Glacier Canyon is your only option until they renovate the whole hotel. But most important issue is how they just dont care when they RUIN YOUR VACATION! This is new, they have a new manager named Nicole, who must not care about the guest experience, but only the money the hotel makes. Maybe she is new to this type of work, and she will learn that a little goes a long way. We will continue to stay in the Dells 3-4 time a year, since its so easy to drive up from Chicago, but never again will I experience the hellish 3 hour ordeal we did.

This place has went down hill fast. Checked in to my mold spelling room called hotel manager and his response was he could have made come spray febreze in my room with my infant children. I had to blow a seal for him to give me different room. Choose a different hotel.
