Have been here Three times already, Have not once been disappointed by the park. Loved it had a blast, riding the rides, favorite one was the timber ax. But even all the rides down to the tea cups Are a fun and great enjoyment. Taking a ride you get to see the colorful atmosphere of wild waves. It fit perfectly awesome on having a great view. They even have all these nice shows in and out of seasons. The best part is the staff there, all of them are polite and warm people, haven't met not one who has been rude. Safety procedures explained during rides, great supervision. Also the wave pool is awesome.. just saying.. loved it.
Fun local place for amusement rides (wooden & metal roller coasters), water rides. They charged $12 for parking, $10-20 for a locker rental and check bags at front to prevent outside food. They do allow bringing your own good for special diets (baby food, vegan, etc) if you go by there will call office and get a card designating your food allowance.
I was wearing a nice pair of Oakley sunglasses all day and when I went down one of the slides they came off. I was going to retrieve them right then but the lifeguard told me to stop and go to the office to get a Diver to get them. Because I followed their rules I'm out $150 due to listening to them and their diver not being able to find them. I just called and they aren't willing to compensate me for my loss, though there wouldn't be one if I was able to get them as soon as they came off. On top of that they only have a few water slides, their wave pool is WEAK, they don't have many roller coasters, they rip people off on locker rentals and just being able to park. Save your money and don't go it's not worth it and if you do go and something falls off of you and you can get it, you should grab it if you ever want to see it again.
Wild waves is a great place to visit on those hot days when water is a must. The lines were not terribly long as the longest I waited in one line was 30 minutes, which isn't as long as I have heard. The downside is the food is excessively expensive and unless you are going to eat mint chip ice cream all day, there are absolutely NO gluten free options.
It used to be a fun, albeit small, water park in the Seattle area to escape the heat. However, I have informed Wild Waves that I will no longer be renewing my Season Passes with them because 3 of the last 4 times we have gone there, 1-2 attractions were not open solely because they didn't have enough life guards on duty--which to me indicates either a choice or extremely poor work scheduling practices. I understand that from time to time, attractions must close temporarily for maintenance or repairs, but to me, because you didn't schedule enough life guards is not an acceptable reason to close attractions.
I love the rides and it's usually pretty clean but I really wish they'd do something about the pond. Every time I go it looks worse and the fish seem in really bad conditions it's a real bummer to see.
We had a great time. Grandson's first time. I hadn't been in over 25 years. Being a senior citizen, I am limited to my physical activities. We enjoyed the Wave pool & the floating river. We also visited the kiddie spray park section. He came down a few slides (which I met him as he slid into the pool) We didn't buy food for lunch, it was too expenseve. We ate in the car. Upon re-entering the park we were pleased to see our personal belonging were untouched. We returned to sit under the huge umbrellas and people watch for a bit. Sadly, when we got to the car to leave for home we discovered our car keys were lost !!!!! Fortunately I called home for my spare key. Wild Waves was very apologetic about the loss of my key. Nothing was turned in however. A few days later Wild Waves called me to tell me my keys had appeared. The staff treated me with kindness (even at the end of a long, hot day) I will definitely be returning. Next time; I will invest in a locker.
Great for families, but not perfect for disabled. We asked no less than 5 employees to assist us, as the event we were attending was at the HIGHEST point in the park, and we had 2 physically disabled adults. We were told that there was NOTHING that could be done/offered to assist us to the top of THEIR hill.
I walked to the top. Painfully, because my son needed to get to the top, and couldn't go alone. Get to the top, and am told in no uncertain terms that its their "policy" to assist disabled customers. When its time to leave, I am given a ride. My African American disabled husband however, is not. The employee simply STOPPED RESPONDING TO HIS WALKIE. I'm then told by a DIFFERENT employee that they "don't give assistance to disabled people because **if we do it for one, we must do it for all**" So... lesson is, this theme park is ADA compliant... as long as you can walk hills. If you cannot, prepare for a LONG DAY IN ONE SPOT.
Oh...AND with ONE ADA stall that regularly is closed down..prepare for a long walk uphill to a bathroom. Not even so much as a sign to ask other customers not to spend hours changing in the wheelchair stall. I had to pound on the door, continually asking the 4 women STUFFED inside the wheelchair stall to hurry, so I could use the bathroom...oh, in the BATHROOM area...that has signs telling people its NOT FOR CHANGING... and the employee in the bathroom... just stood there.
Unbelievable. I DARE management to contact me about this!!
Would be nice if they have more benches around side off games so we cam wait for the kids when they are on the rides I mean I don't mind waiting but I get tired of standing but otherwise I love it.
They need to put more stuff in the food areas , cause the lines were like 35 min wait time, also in the pizza shop very slow cashier, we have hungry and thirsty kids and cannot be waitting that long time each time we need something thats ridiculous
This place is very outdated and I wish they had better rides, like roller coasters. Its definitely a place for the little ones though. Whatever they do around Halloween was kind of whack. The people in the haunted house were, were tired, some even injured. I never just walked through any "Haunted House" not spooked. I felt like it was practice or rehearsal for the workers. The guy at one of the entrance seemed aggravated. Like, no thank you, I will take my business elsewhere!
Crowded, long lines (including even the lazy river), lockers were all rented out unless you paid $20 for a large locker) you have to carry your own tube, and apathetic staff workers. In a few hours, you can manage to squeeze 5 or 6 actual trips down slides and rides. Won't be going back.
Horrible! Service is horrible stood in a line to buy a ice cream had to wait over 10 min or even person I front of me while a girl was just standing in there not helping anyone. I have a water proof cellphone had it in my hand when riding the green slide (one that looks like a toilet) when the lifeguard kicked my hand and knock my hand made me drope my cellphone al she could say was sorry and sent me to lost and found. Went to lost and found and explain what happen they told me the were going to have someone go in and look for it. I was sure it fell in the cracks were the water comes out at the top were you get on the tube. I told them we waited till 830 and they said that they didn't find it. We never saw anyone search for it since we stood next of the ride waiting for someone. Asked if someone could go with me and I would look for it my self. They said no that everyone had gone home. That it probably fell Imy the filtration and they don't check that place till september. Great. Thanks to the girl lost a phone that I don't have insurance and still own 600$$$ thanks alot!!!
ALL THE EMPLOYEES WERE VERY POLITE AN VERY HELPFUL ON MY QUESTIONS. WE WERE FIRST TIMERS .I WOULD DEFINITELY GO AGAIN. GREAT FUN PLACE TO GO. TY WILD WAVES THEME PARK.
Wild Waves is an excellent, independent water and theme park with a "small town" vibe. Their season pass is a steal- if you buy at the right time from them or from groupon you only have to pay 50 dollars for unlimited visits. I had a season pass for a few years as a kid, and for the last two years as an adult.
The water park is their strength. Wild Waves has a wave pool, an activity pool, four different slide towers, a kid's play area with slides, and two different lazy river-style rides. On the theme park side, they have two quality roller coasters, one metal rollercoaster that goes upside down and one wooden roller coaster built during their "Six Flags" days, and a variety of carnival style rides (bumper cars, an extreme scream drop ride, pirate ship, a log ride, etc.) They have a nice-sized collection of kiddie rides, though many of them have a height "maximum" so parents cannot ride with their kids. My toddler nephew loves that their is a mini-rollercoaster we can all ride together.
Wild Waves other strength is their special events. They do movie nights during the summer where they show movies on a blow-up screen over the wave pool. During October, they offer Fright Fest where they have 3 different haunted houses at night, and some kiddie activities during the day. Each December, they decorate the entire theme park for Christmas with lights and blowups and a laser show.
Wild Waves does have some "small park" quirks that can be frustrating at times. - Consistency is NOT their strong-suit. Some of the height requirements seem arbitrary, and depending on the life guard or ride attendant, what rides your little one can go on can fluctuate from shift to shift. For instance, 8 times out of 10, my 2-year-old nephew could go in the hot tub with us, but every once in a while, they'd kick him out for being too short. - The bathrooms aren't always the cleanest, and a lot of the food is mediocre. (However, the hand-dipped, made-to-order corn dog food truck is consistently delicious. Other good dessert options include soft-serve ice cream, dip-n-dots, homemade fudge, and freshly made elephant ears.) - Many of the lifeguards and ride attendants are local teenagers. Some are excellent and on-the-ball. For example, we had one lifeguard who stood up for a little girl when an unrelated adult was trying to bully her into giving up her seat in the hot tub. The Wild Waves staff is ethnically diverse, which is great for the overall culture of the water park and reflects the diversity of attendees. However, a few of the staff struggled with English to the point that they seemed unable to answer basic questions about the rides they were operating. There also were a couple of apathetic life guards that concerned me with their complacency towards addressing obnoxious or unsafe customer behavior like line-cutting or rough-housing in the lazy river.
One major plus is that Wild Wave was brought under new management a couple years ago, and the new management seems responsive to guest feedback and is slowly, but surely, making improvements to the park. They put in stairs to replace a dangerously steep and slippery ramp. They replaced the water heater for the activity pool and raging river ride so those attractions are now enjoyable even on a chilly summer day. They also responded to guest feedback about Fright Fest: When they proposed limiting season pass holders to only getting in free the first few weekends, season pass holders expressed their discontent and they changed the policy before it ever went into effect. In 2018, we experienced a lot of problems with line-jumping and cutting at the haunted houses that made the lines ridiculously long (over an hour wait). This year, they added additional line queues/barriers, hired an outside security agency to patrol and manage lines, and posted signs saying you could be kicked out of the park for line-cutting. As a result, the line process went much smoother.
We went yesterday and were shocked at how bad our experience turned out. Someone's safety belt broke on a ride we were on and the staff did nothing. Waterslides were 1+ hour wait and after standing the food line for almost 2 hours, we just gave up and went home due to hunger. This place is a sad joke. Never again. Never. Again. Will. we. Return.
SO.MUCH.FUN. We try to go once a year; family comes up from Portland and we travel down from Kirkland. It's an easy drive in from all of us and it makes a perfect day trip. They've gotten almost too safe, if there is such a thing. A couple of the rides have been made so safe they're almost boring - biggest example was the almost lazy river. Instead of sliding down and bouncing around in a froth of tubes and limbs, we were pulled through immediately by a crew member. The thrill of flailing and being goofy was taken away, but it was still fun. The food's expensive, but not bad, especially for a water park. Our only issue, but not enough to take away a star is we waited in line for 20 minutes for a "hand dipped soft serve cone" to find out they no longer do dipped cones (couldn't tell if it was that day or for forever) and they didn't have cones (?!?). The elephant ears were good, tho, and took away the sting. :)
First year doing Fright Fest and was super excited for it! It starts becoming fright fest at 7pm and we arrived at 7:30. As much fun as it was, we were in line to get into the park from 7:30 to 8:30. Took us a WHOLE hour to get in because the lack of extra people working at the booth for entry and tickets and it was freezing.
Other than that, I will give kudos to the actors and all the creativity in the haunted houses. In the 2.5 hours we were there, because the lines were long we were able to do 2 haunted houses and 2 rides before closing time. Kinda a bummer. So in the future I wish it was a little better with staff and productivity because it felt like it was too busy for the staff that was there.
Fun place. Short lines (if you come on the right day) and cheap tickets. Definitely needs more employees though, I literally waited over an hour for a slice of pizza. Infrastructure could use some work as well, buildings look cheaply made and lots of water dripping from the waterslides. 7/10
Love having a season pass for my kid and I. Added the meal plan this year just for the kid and its great. I buy the season pass during cyber monday in November and it saves some money plus they have a payment plan. It may not be the best amusement park but with the season pass it really is worth it.
I was worried about coming here with all the negative reviews. I m glad I did as our kids had a ton of fun. It isn t cheap, but I really don t know parks that are cheap or have cheap food or activities in them. We got there when it opened and as such we parked quite close. Even if it had been later, it is super easy to get in and out, which makes it easy to go out and eat your snacks. We packed a lunch and had a tailgate lunch. We bought some treats in the park and they were on par with other parks I have been to. The kids loved the slides as well as the coasters. We will definitely be coming back.
Oh gawd the lines. I bet a lot of people said this, but the lines. JESUS THE LINES. Pretty good if you come on the last day it's open though, I recommend coming at least an hour before it opens, possibly earlier on the hot days. Bring cash, because everything is very expensive.
Had a blast too all tbe people's that wrote about your bad time at ww it is your own dam fault. Plan ahead and get there early. Getting season pass next year.
It was 20 years since I been here and have to say wish I never came back. As the other reviewers are stating the lines are long, very very long I swear it is worse than Disneyland. They need to put limit to the amount of people they let into the area. We got there after driving all the way from Portland and after 3 hours decided to just give up and drive home. I was not happy after spending some $127.00 dollars on tickets, $10.00 dollars on parking and another $30.00 dollars on some crappy food. It was 95 degrees out and they had 1 and only 1 water station with no cups nothing to put the water in.
This is complete crap you don't let people bring in drinks yet you provide water with nothing to put it in. I guess the sign should say no drinks allowed but you can bring in a container to hold drinks if you want some water. Me and Wild Waves are done for good, I am not coming back. Save your money and go to a public pool, see a movie and go out to a nice dinner it will be cheaper and a lot less stressful...
I am only 10 yrs old and I have already owned 4 season passes I highly recommend for you too ride the ring of fire and wild thing also go too relax in the soothing waves in the wave pool I can't wait too own a season pass too go this summer also there food Is delish
I buy season tickets for my family every year here comes with all the perks including cluding Halloween events and Christmas events Etc. you kind of get the best of both worlds as far as a water park and a theme park my kids absolutely adore this place.
Went with the brother and his family and had fun. Hadn't been since i was a teenager, but they had plenty to do besides keeping bird dog's eye on where the kids. Come early to grab seats around the wave pool or kiddie area cause they fill up fast.
Fun first time experience, tho 3 of the slides and a few rides were not working, I guess that's to be expected. Disappointed to see the state of the paddle boat pond and many of the fountains were also not working.
Way to much money for what you get. The staff is rude and the lines are horrible. Plus if you choose to eat there, it costs you a lot of money for a McDonald burger. I will never go back. I could have saved money by going to the Portland amusement park and staying in a hotel there. We were there for 7 hours and were only able to go on two slides and three kids rides because of the lines.
my first time here I don't normally write reviews. Overall rides where fun, but wave pool had no waves. expensive Food and drinks. and most of the employes I interacted with for food or rides made me fee very unwelcome. or that they didn't even care about their job.
