Really unique beers. You won't find a lot of the Standard fare (IPAs etc) mainly just a lot of barrel aged beers and sours. Definitely worth a trip.
Really unique beers. You won't find a lot of the Standard fare (IPAs etc) mainly just a lot of barrel aged beers and sours. Definitely worth a trip.
Delicious beers! Was crowded and had an approx 5 minute wait for service, but the beers made it absolutely worth it.
Will be back!
Great place to visit with friends and have a variety of brews.
This place R O C K S. Just go, you'll thank me. Great people, wild (haha) beers/ales. They condition lots of their "base" drinks with fruits, purees, extra hops, etc. Very tasty stuff, they definitely live up to their name!
They also have a pretty solid system for staying safe during COVID-19. All orders are online, and they bring drinks right to your table - they're only serving bottles/cans/crowlers at the moment but it's still great.
Great atmosphere, really unique beer flavors, and friendly environment. They have two well-made sets of corn hole (aka bean bags), and a little grassy area that kids and pets are able to enjoy. They've also got a couple of TVs set up with sports, but people seemed to be more interested in conversation and music. The only improvement I suggest is to add the beer type to the beer descriptions - some of the beers listed simply as "ales" were actually Indian pale ales, so they may be hoppier than you'd expect otherwise. Just ask the employees before ordering to make sure you're getting the type of beer you're looking forward to!
Primarily farmhouse and saison styles with many fruit variations.
Love this place! Wide variety of beers. I love their IPAs especially when they do hazy. Great space, friendly staff, good variety of food trucks or delivery options. Highly recommend.
I love the creative beer here. Always a huge variety across the board. I especially like that they always have a few fruit beers or sours.
Last night I was a bit disappointed by the noisy food truck. Love the food truck. But their generator made sitting outside less than ideal. Not particularly the fault of Wild Mind... But it did make it less enjoyable to be there.
Brewery with experimental options that cover the spectrum if beer offerings. Dark, ipa, sours, and more. Always new options. Usually a food truck is parked out front or I recommend bringing food.
You'll find some beers that are definitely a little bit "out there" at Wild Mind, but as long as you're cool with that, they are brewing some of the best, most unique beers in town. The selection is usually great, and I'd say I had about one out of my ten visits there where I felt limited on choices (overwhelmed the other times). Last time I was in, they had three takes on stouts or porters (Double Depth Charge was most excellent), three sour beers, and a few pale or india pale ales. They've done some super juicy, fruity IPAs in the summer too. Note the vibrant paint on the wall above the taps when you're in and then see if your beer can match one!
Good atmosphere with plenty seating, but no flights and 7 dollar beers keep this from being 5 stars for me.
I really liked the tap room, very spacious! We also had a great tour of the brewery itself. They had some good beers and even ciders. I loved the vibe in the taproom and excited to taste their upcoming sour beers!
Be careful of parking one of the other local businesses was towing patrons that parked in front of their business! Wild minds has a very small parking lot. Be careful where you park!
Enjoyed recreational chemistry hazy ipa and losing my lettuce sour. Modern vibes and in industrial area so you know it's good.
Wild Minds uses wild yeast strains for some funky, sour, flavorful beers. The patio is excellent and there's usually a food truck as well as bag toss!
We have been here 3 times and each visit has been fantastic. This evening they had Bingo, which was great. Thursdays they have trivia. Good beer, fun atmosphere and excellent employees.
Such an open and colorful atmosphere! Relaxing upbeat place to enjoy a beer!
Had one beer and it was very good! Will certainly be making a return trip with company!
Wild Mind did a great job making us feel welcome and comfortable in the midst of the pandemic. The taproom is open and airy and tables roomy and well-spaced. They have plenty of arrows and time limits, etc., to follow of course but they were friendly and gracious in explaining things and made it clear they were happy we were there in spite of everything. :)
I loved my fruity Berliner Weisse and look forward to trying more of their intriguing brews, and the food truck was great!
Awesome selection - stuff for beer lovers and beer not-so-much-ers. The homemade kombucha is delicious for the designated driver!
Loved our evening at Wild Mind. Sat outdoors. It was a cool night, but they built fires in the fire pits, which was great! The strung lights added to the coziness. Had very good IPAs and extremely tasty mushroom tacos - so good! My husband had the BBQ pork sandwich that was good. The meat was tasty, the cold slaw was on the drier side, which he loved, however the bun was a bit too wet. All in all, though, he was very satisfied. Will come back again.
Kinda the only brewery in this area and luckily pretty good too! Nice indoor space and outdoor patio, dog friendly in and out, also typically a good selection of food trucks ( think they are starting their own food soon)
The glass of beer that I drank was enjoyable. I will visit again.
Great place to try new beverages. There are six tables inside, first come first served (no reservations as of Feb 2021). There are two window table seats near the entrance, so don't walk by these spots. There are firepits outside with tables. Dogs are allowed inside. The menu is available on the website and on a video board inside. There are no N/A options on the menu, but there are sodas available at the bar when you order. You can start a tab and order food and the staff will bring it to you. The tables are available for an hour at a time so try not to camp too long if it is busy. You can get crowlers at the bar. This is a great little place to try out.
Some top notch beers, but not all of them are equally good. Some misses among their many big hits.
We really enjoyed the beer and the friendliness of the staff. The one thing that wasn't the most enjoyable was that they allow children. I don't go out to a brewery to have to dodge kids running around. They allow well behaved dogs, which is fine because all the dogs there were calm. By the time we left at 6:00, it looked like a daycare. On couple even had their infant up at the bar. Otherwise, we like the brewery.
Pleasantly surprised by the location of the brewery and the quality of beer with a decent food truck as well. The atmosphere is good within an industry area. The taproom is large and full during peak hours.
Visited on their 3rd weekend with a Meetup "Boys & Brews". Matt, owner, and head brewer, offered a "mini" tour, which turned out more "maxi". Matt is a great voice for wild fermentation. Passionate and knowledgeable.
Really enjoyed the 2 beers I had, and the tastes I garnished from everyone else at the table. Great beginning, and no doubt, a successful and fun future!! Thanks for arriving on the scene and setting a trend for new suburban locations!
Rather disappointed. The beer variety is excellent, and the ones I tried were quite good. The space is beautiful and open, but tarnished by the atmosphere.
As others have pointed out, there are a lot of rules and it feels very unwelcoming. They don't do flights and you are limited to two samples. C'mon, you can't have it both ways when you have a menu with something like 20 beers. The rules are simply customer hostile.
Further, I would recommend paying as you go since it can get busy. Both lines were 12-15 people deep when I was ready to leave, so I asked a bartender if I had to wait in the line to close my tab. He asked my name but then said nothing and went back to doing dishes. I ended up having to leave because I was already late.
This place was very busy on Sunday night and has generally good reviews, so I doubt that anything will change soon. So if you like drinking excellent beers on an amazing patio, and want to relive being treated like a child again, I recommend Wild Minds. But you won't see me there unfortunately.
Was voted best taproom in the twin cities 2018. One friend knows the owner and another friend has been here multiple times, says it's his favorite brewery to the cities. SO I had to check it out., plus it's one of the three closest breweries to me. Shoe horn design and a food truck was placed perfectly nearby (the tacos were meh [who only wraps a taco with one corn tortilla??]). The sun hits the whole place perfectly, but in the true summer this could be bad with how hot this place could get. I'm still working my tongue around sour beers but was happy with everything I had here. They don't do flights but half pours if you want to sample lots of things. You can watch tv for games here but I wouldn't recommend it really, the sun glare is so bad I couldn't even watch a game. The only other qualm I had was only one worker trying to serve 50+ people. So the lines can get long to get a beer.
Edit: Thank you so much for doing a resilience beer! While I taste it, it fits your style of brewing though not for me. Regardless great help for people in need.
The most unpersonable staff ever, They rush you out, they even took my half drank beer and water away from me 10 minutes to closing. Hate this brewery !! Uncomfortable staff sucks!!! Rude.
Great brewery with delightful beers across a wide spectrum and a cool space. Taking a very serious and much-appreciated approach to COVID precautions as well.
Wild Mind is one of my favorite breweries, period. If you love sour beers and/or appreciate wild fermentation then you will love it too. The brewery itself is colorful, open, and airy so grab a beer or two there then take a couple bottles and crowlers home with you. There is always something fun and funky on tap. If the weather is nice, enjoy a game of bags and soak up the sun and enjoy a snack or meal from the food truck.
Great beers and pleasant staff. Great safety precautions observed
Good beer with lots of variety! Dog friendly inside too!
Very cool urban brewery away from the Northeast seen.
The taproom is modern and the beers are really good! Great spot to spend the evening, don't forget to order pizza luce!
Fantastic beer, great food truck, and a very modern interior.
Great place with great beers. Parking is a bit of a challenge but a short walk never killed anyone.
Great local beer made from funky local yeast. Can't wait for the sours to be ready!
The beer here was really great. Most of the service here was great. Unfortunately one staff member my family interacted with most while here was very unpleasant. Each time I ordered a beer I felt self conscious about asking to try something because the look I got sent me cowering. My unease makes it very unlikely that I will be returning here again.
Fun, laid back, great drink selection and puppy friendly!
$6 for 10 oz.??? Drinking from wine glasses and not pints. Brewery for non-beer drinkers
Awesome newer craft brewery in the Twin Cities. Their use of wild yeast truly sets them apart. The space is great, especially in the summer when they open up the garage doors. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it's a great place to enjoy a tasty beverage.
Matt L. provided such a great time and warm, welcoming environment. He gave excellent drink and food recommendations, was more than accommodating, and even took music suggestions. He made our girls night out one to remember
Great, safe set-up. Plenty of social distancing, hand sanitizer and flow. Beers always interesting. Kudos Wild Mind!!
Great beer, cool vibe in the summertime. Glad to have this in the area (in an otherwise industrial neighborhood).
Amazing beer! The atmosphere is awesome and the employees are great! :)
Yummy beer (with a good variety), friendly staff, and best of all - they allow dogs inside.
The beer is great! The staff is friendly! The courtyard is really comfortable! Love that dogs are welcome.
This place is amazing. The ambiance is great and the beer is worth coming back for.
Child and dog friendly.
Definitely recommend the Wild Pale Ale
Delicious beers, excellent COVID precautions & friendly staff! Had a lovely time and will be back!
Great beer lineup in a clean, modern taproom with a nice patio and lawn. Dog friendly too!
Friendly staff and really good beers. Open atmosphere with a minimalist design. Limited parking close to the brewery but the sours make it worth the walk. Can't wait to visit this summer when the doors are open.
Some of the most interesting beers I've had in the twin cities with a great taproom vibe
Fun place good people crazy music and terrific beer
Favorite brewery in the metro area! Super dog friendly and a great space for relaxing outside with a beer.
High quality farmhouse, saisons, & sours. But all styles have a great balance. Really enjoyed the Cascadian Dark Ale.
Lots of sour beers and wild ales. All of it is very good.
Wild Mind Truly has great crafted beers! But it offers so much more
#1 awesome and friendly staff
#2 Great food options by their own Chef
#3 relaxed environment with indoor and outdoor seating
#4 outdoor fire pits
#5 Outdoor large tented area
#6 did I mention the beer and staff is awesome!
Love this place
beer is unique, food is fantastic, outdoor area with fire pits is a nice touch!
My son and I have been regulars at Wild Mind for a few years and have always enjoyed the atmosphere here and of course the beer is always excellent. The service is always top notch.
My son and I have been in several times since your reopening and feel you've done an excellent job with cleanliness and making it safe for customers and your employees. Extra bonus is your overhead doors that you have been able to have open throughout the summer. Even in these trying times we are in right now your employees are still the best.
Great setup, very original approach to brewing. I'm a down-the-middle simple hoppy IPA guy when it comes to craft beer, so it was nice to branch out after one Windom Paradise (good stuff) and not be let down by for example an acai blue agave IPA. Excellent work, Wild Mind! Reports from others at my table came in that the Spontane Framboise as well as the Losing My Lettuce were also excellent. The service was fantastic. Last, if you can picture it, watching sun set slowly over the industrial park and concrete plant is really nice (the taproom opens to the west) if that's your thing - I know I can't be the only one who finds a strange utilitarian, accidental beauty in that sort of scene. Anyway, great taproom and beers and I'll keep coming back.
Space is visually interesting and the picnic style benches were surprisingly comfortable. That's where the good stuff ends.
I walked up and saw no descriptive beer list and asked for a lighter beer to start so I didn't kill my taste buds right away and was scoffed at by the beertender and told in a condescending way that they make no lighter tasting beers then was poured a northern bloom which was exactly what I asked for. My friend tried the Zed which tasted surprisingly similar.
Their website makes it sound like a variety of beers when they actually only had a variety of sours. Not a fan of anything I had and the poor interactions with staff will make me go elsewhere in the future.
Very cool new brewery (1year old) wide open space and chill vibe.
Wild Mind is the best of SW Mpls! It's a strong neighborhood atmosphere coupled with some of my favorite local beers. A great spot for a beer, a growler or an event. Highly recommended!
My favorite brewery to visit whenever I am down in the Twin Cities.
Wild Mind is da bomb diggity, the shiznit, the dopest of the dope, or whatever the slang is nowadays that hip twenty-somethings of legal drinking age use to describe beer that rocks your mismatched socks.
Great staff and even better beers. The selection they put forward is incredible and constantly changing with new brews so there's always something fresh to try. The environment is awesome for young families and dogs. Worth checking out!
Legitimately one of my top five breweries in the state of MN! It has true most amazing selection of constantly rotating taps. Always something new to try and ALWAYS delicious!
I live in the immediate area and love that we now have a quality brewery in the neighborhood. I have been here 3 times and have sampled a good variety of their beer. The Saisons are solid, and I really like the twist they are putting on their beers with unique yeasts found nowhere else. I also really enjoyed the Vanilla Bean Aged Dark Farmouse limited release, and I'm looking forward to the Barrel Aged Brews down the road. I was impressed also by the space that was created - great windows to the cellar room, and love the garage doors to the patio space. The heavy solid wood tables also add a nice feel to the modern industrial look. I hope they keep adding more solid food trucks into a daily rotation so I have a dinner alternative to Town Hall Tap.
Very good ambiance. The beer was good but have limited Ales.
Great beer, but this place should be called Romper Room. Or Wild Child Ales
LOVE this brewery!! Amazing sour selection and awesome environment!! One of my fav breweries in the Twin Cities!!
Awesome patio! Unique selection of beers compared to other breweries for something different. Pizza Science was excellent!
Great beer and venue. Always relaxing and fun and a great variety.
It s ok. Beer is pretty good. Need big tv s in the main room and play sports all the time, when they open again.
Spacious clean and modern taproom. Very family and dog friendly. Tried a beer (fleur) and cider. Both were top-notch!
Great beer lineup, super cool space. Can't wait for some sours!
Such a great and friendly atmosphere with amazing off the wall beers! Quality beers! Definitely check this place out! We re in town from Texas to watch the FCAA finals!!
Samantha charged my credit card for the beer I ordered, then again for that cost plus the tip I wrote down, then a third time for zero dollars, then a fourth time for one cent. What the fudge, Samantha, give me my money back.
Great place with a nice chill vibe. Good beers excellent service, say hi to Vern the beer tender she ll get you the best beer for your taste. And bring your dog.
Amazing beers visiting Mineapolis from Miami came here had a couple beers taking beers back to Miami with me amazing service
Awesome variety of beers and a great atmosphere loved it!
Great space, interesting beers and they allow dogs!
