This is one of my mother's fav places to go for a cuppa and cake when she's in town. The staff are always lovely & friendly and the cakes are to die for & they make a mean cup of coffee to boot!

Recently had lunch for a birthday gathering. 6 women, and not one of us was impressed with our meals!

I ordered this at $28
Farmer s board
Stuffed sweet peppers, falafels, roast pumpkin, heritage carrots, pickles,
pumpkin hummus, Coolmunda organic olives, Maffra Farmhouse cheddar,
melon, beetroot relish, tzatziki, rosemary & olive sourdough, lavosh

As soon as it came out, I could tell it was going to be unpleasant! First of, there is much too many carbohydrates on this platter: 2 large slices of boring sourdough, 6 sticks of more boring lavosh bread, bland dry boring carrots!, and the worst cheddar cheese (like eating a bar of soap)!!! The pumpkin hummus was a runny miss. The falafel was dry and tasteless, you got a small dollop of tzatziki that didn't taste like tzatziki at all! The pickles weren't special. The roasted pumpkin didn't belong on this platter! The only nice thing on the platter were the olives!

The interior decor to this cafe is lovely. There aren't many restaurants in this area, so people living in this area can't be fussy! That is the main reason it's still busy!!

I've tried 3 cakes with coffee at this cafe before. While they are fresh and attractive, the cakes didn't taste outstanding.

**The platter I described should be removed from the menu. The meals need some work.
Suggestion for a vegetarian platter would look like: 2 or 3 types of cheese, olives, roasted veggies of capsicum, cherry tomatoes, pumpkin, zucchini, and eggplants with garlic, onion and seasoning. Gherkins or beetroot pickled sour (Israeli style). Chickpea hummus. 2 or 3 types of crackers (in house preferred). And a green salad with balsamic dressing.

I won't be going back. Thanks.

A grumpy irritable manager ruined a lovely breakfast. We drove over 30 minutes for breakfast, making a booking before the drive to make sure we could have our dachshund sit with us. The manager told us over the phone that was fine, so we hopped in the car and drove. We had been told about Wild Canary by a colleague and we thought we would try something new, despite living around hundreds of amazing cafes. On the drive it started raining, however we weren't worried because the cafe never called, we figured this meant it was still ok to have our dog. As soon as we walked up to the cafe we weren't greeted with a hi just a "your dog can't sit here, it's raining". I explained we'd made a booking but hadn't been phoned on the drive and we'd travelled over 30mins just for breakfast. The manager didn't care, huffing around and pointing at where the dog can sit (which was in the rain). The manager was so unpleasant we contemplated leaving however the sweet waitresses try to ease the problem and we decided to stay and try the breakfast we'd heard so much about. The food was delicious, coffee amazing but we could never get the sour taste out of our mouth from the rude, unnecessary manager. I think we will stick to our locals.

Had the breakfast special - Mee Goreng Okonomiyaki. Was a tad dry, but the flavours were good; could have done with more mayonnaise/sauce over the top. The others had Classic Breakfast and Nasi Goreng, with no complaints there, and the coffees were good. Service did not disappoint either.

In all, the regular menu looks good, would recommend.

Concept and ambience is good... and the food certainly is instagrammable but food needs a little bit of attention. Waffles tasted dry and premade. Jackfruit pie did not taste like jackfruit. Pork belly was chewy and the skin not crispy. Having said that I will return because I love a cafe attached to a garden nursery.

Very busy for Sunday brunch ... reservation highly recommended.

To be honest, I didn't enjoy our visit. We were seated next to a table of four young women who had two children under the age of 6 with them. The children screamed and shouted at the top of their voices for the whole hour. To be fair, I did hear one of the women say to them at one stage: 'Shhh...you're in a restaurant.' Unfortunately she was ignored by the children and the mother(s) just continued to chat amongst themselves.

Shame really, otherwise the ambience would have been good.

The service, venue and food were all fantastic. They were very accommodating to my gluten free needs too. I was excited to find out they do functions too, I might organize my next one there. Definately recommend!

When you're food arrives you have 2 thoughts. Wow that's pretty, but it doesn't seem like much... 10 minutes later, whilst you struggle to fit it all in, you have another thought that maybe it was too much!

The coffee is smooth and creamy, the food varied, delicious and beautiful and the service is delightful and fast!

Would recommend, but maybe make a booking!

Had a fabulous lunch here in the private dining room for my birthday recently. The food was stunning and the staff could not have been more helpful. The kids also loved it as they were able to entertain themselves exploring the grounds.

We went here last Wednesday (30st of Dec) for breakfast with our 2 kids. And while my wife was in the queue to order our foods. I picked up a table to settle the kids. And suddenly I realized the cashier who introduced himself manager later on is shouting from the distance and asking me in a very rude and unprofessional manner to leave the table because it has been reserved. First of all, there wasn t any reserved sign on the table and secondly a professional manager or even a trainee who has the basic knowledge of the hospitality would come close to the table and ask politely to leave the table and perhaps direct customer to the next available table. Not shouting angrily in front of dozen of others. Unfortunately, this guy couldn t be more careless when I informed him about his attitude and not even apologized.
We decided to eat our food in another place with much more friendly staffs. From my experience and from the customer service point of view, I won t recommend this business at all.
