Visited the garden bistro with family for a special day out. We drove for an hour to get there.... Unfortunately the service was appalling and several of the lunch menu items had sold out even though it was only 12.30pm which left all 5 of us disappointed as they were the menu items we wanted......
When our second choice meal finally arrived it was tasty and well presented right down to the sliver of glass in the plate of nasi goreng..... quite unexpected and not welcomed.

It is super nice and comforting to eat here. I loved the place !!!

Such a weird decision not to serve any food between 11 and 12 on a weekend.

Tasty selection. Friendly staff. A little pricey but fair given the quality you're paying for. Inside the display gardens of a plant nursery which makes the setting charming.

The picture says it all!!!! Amazing food, service and coffee. Love the atmosphere around beautiful trees and out on the deck to soak in the sunshine. After breaky we visited the gift shop so many beautiful things, I purchased a diffuser for my office so calming and beautiful. And had a browse in the nursery. This is definitely a treasure.

This cafe is inside the nursery and is a grest option for locals. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed.

Food was delicous, group had the Buddha Bowl, pea souffle and market fish and everyone loved it. Only thing is it it quite expensive considering everying...hence the 4 star.

A year ago: Too pricy for the quality. Coffee is medium and there are very few options on the menu.

Updated: one of our friends asked us to join them for the breakfast and we decided to give another chance to this cafe because the venue is nice. But unfortunately the menu disappointed us again. We ordered wafels as chef's special. It was too surgery. Small wafels, two very sweet and tasteless scope of ice cream. Sour jam and a few edable flowers. We couldn't eat it. For two over sweet, small and low quality portions and medium coffees we paid 56$.

It's beautiful here! They get ingredients from a kitchen garden and focus on supporting local ingredient suppliers. They really care about the food and have a nice rotating menu, skilled staff, and a lovely atmosphere.

We celebrated my mothers 81st birthday on Friday at Wild Canary. Service was exceptional, food delicious, the cake was phenomenal and with all the covid drama in the world at the moment, we all felt very safe with Wild Canarys safe plan, especially seeing my mum is 81. If i lived closer i would be there every week.

Nice meal in a beautiful setting. Great selection of plants. Make sure to check out the Australian native section.

God knows how many times I've past this place and never stopped.

A delicious experience, quite possibly the best value fancy meal I've ever had. Pulled pork over pear and rhubarb sauce was to die for... I just wish I had room for the enormous slices of cake. Well at least I have a reason to go back. When we arrived we were asked to wait 15minutes for a table which meant we could Have a stroll around the kitchen garden and the nursery. It only took ten minutes to get a table. So friendly and tidy it was a pleasure to eat there. It's my new favorite breakfast or lunch destination.

I have been there a few times now, even took my mum there on mothers day. The food is fabulous and very tasty. It is a great place to bring your friends and family occasionally as it is a bit expensive.

The whole experience exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds. Right from the calls made to the Bistro to enquire about the cake prep times, to the well designed website and professionalism of the staff, one would not be disappointed.
I had personally not come across such a beautiful cake online in my research and half expected it to be trick photography.
I couldn't wait to take a sneak peak into the box when I picked it up and honestly, this cake blew my mind. It looked regal and pretty to say the least but the cake's taste stole the show. It was rich, decadent, creamy and topped with edible flowers!
A definite recommendation. My cake standards have hit a new high now.

Beautiful location and surrounding. Friendly service and above-Australian-hospitality. But the food could be better (richness of flavours and portions don't match prices).
Definitely try their cakes!!! They are amazing!

Very friendly service and yummy gf breakfast. Only one piece of sour dough toast for non gf meal reduces this to 4 star. Generous serving of bacon but I would have preferred salmon. Charges 50c extra for non dairy milk.

Have Heard Rave Reviews Regarding Your Cakes, Especially your Carrot Cake... Drove Over an Hour to Have Breakfast and Try Said Cake..Very Disappointed to find out the Carrot Cake was Not Available, Ordered Two Pots of Tea, to which both came out Colder than Luke Warm..
However, Bacon and Eggs were Nice and Staff were Friendly and Appologetic..

Used to be the best breakfast on the North side. Since COVID the menu has become very, very average!!!! Combined both lunch and breakfast together and often the only thing you want on the menu is sold out. After 2 disappointing visits, time to look for another breakfast place. Only positive is the location is amazing.

Food was delicious! The scones were delightful, definitely some of the best I've had . Would recommend for coffee and brunch.

Delicious quality food, with a bit of a different take. Great atmosphere and lovely service, but just a little on the more expensive side. Great place to have a coffee date and it's even puppy friendly.

Gardner's break fast is massive, but it lacks of seasoning which is abit of shame. On the other hand, table service is appropriate and the venue is very good. Can be very crowded so better to make a reservatiin before turn up there. Overall three stars!

We've been coming here over several years and the food has been excellent on every occasion. The only downside is the service; just feels impersonal. If you want to order an additional coffee or desert you will need to chase the staff down as they will not come to you.

Beautiful food, ambience and service....with a fab garden shop and gift shop to explore afterwards. What's not to like?

Much better breakfast than I'd expected. The did was quite nice and the atmosphere is quite pleasant with the cafe overlooking the nursery.

the braised duck leg is pne of the best. nice atmosphere.

Very uninspiring lunch menu, and very poor value @ $34 for an over cooked beef strip and a few root vegetables. Will not return for lunch there.

Great coffee, and lovely location. Menu was a little bit limited but the big breakfast option was delicious and absolutely massive. Staff are very friendly although they can be a little understaffed at times. Garden centre is great to walk through before or after your meal so great place for an easy brunch.

Went here with my grandma to celebrate her birthday and everything was perfect. We were able to book a table inside just in case it was cold or rainy, and we got this beautiful little room with a huge window to look out into the garden. The food was to die for, I had the lamb and 2 others had the duck, practically melted off the bone. Beautiful selection of cakes for dessert all beautifully adorned with flowers making it so hard to choose! Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something a little different

Hidden gem, stroll through companion planted garden beds to a very pleasant setting, friendly service, great food. Highly recommend the Gardeners Breakfast!, will not disappoint!

Lots of nice slices, etc in the cabinet if you're just after coffee & cake.

No eggs bene but the classic sure made up for that. Decent coffee to boot.

I have eaten here with a friend before a couple years ago - better bring your life savings with you, because it is EXPENSIVE. All I could afford was pumpkin bread and a chai latte, both of which were good, but not life savings good. For the same price I could've gone elsewhere and had a full gorgeous breakfast complete with avocado and sourdough bread. All that said, the setting is gorgeous, inside a nursery filled with lush plants, and the people who go here are generally very high class and wealthy. It was a pleasant experience, even if I did feel like a peasant.

The classic breakfast and coffee were delicious and the setting is stunning.

Page says its open, arrived at 11.06 and was told I was 6 minutes late for breakfast. When i said no problem ill have lunch they said id have to eat cake or wait till 12. Drove from Jindalee to check it out. Wont be coming back.

The Wild Canary has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We have only been for morning tea which we found excellent! The cakes were really scrumptious! Parking can be a bit difficult, so I would advise car pooling.

Absolutely lovely. Has my fussy coffee drinker seal of approval. Popped in as a first time customer after finding Wild Canary on google maps. Such a lovely find. Came for takeaway coffee and a piece of bday cake, ended up staying as it's a dog friendly establishment. Will definitely be back.

Excellent breakfast/lunch spot located inside the Brookfield Nursery. Great scenery and food.

Nice ambiance but the food was underwhelming for my expectations.

A lovely setting for a casual weekday lunch. A group of four of us wandered around the Garden Centre before strolling in to sit down. Service was polite and efficient, our food came swiftly and was beautifully presented, and everyone found each dish delicious. The only person not to clear their plate had the Ploughman's, as it was just an enormous portion. The cakes are also well worth a look too!

Terrific menu in a cool location and surrounds. Food always impresses.
