Best ice cream in the qc area with the most flavors and combinations

So many flavors! Cup of Joe espresso shake is amazing!

Whitey's reminds me of the In N' Out of ice cream shops but with a more expansive menu. No frills, just delicious treats!

Prices were higher than expected at first glance but well worth it once I had my ice cream. Definitely worth stopping in on a hot day!

So many choices... But FREE samples :) The staff was so friendly and eager to make suggestions. We tried several flavors and left happy (and full)! Hint: Don't pass up the Peanut Butter Pretzel Bark!

Always well staffed and great service - even on a hot and busy night. Plenty of flavors and specialties to choose from, so there's something for everyone. Would not recommend sitting outside at the 16th Street location, as the traffic noise makes it hard to enjoy conversations.

Great shakes, waitimes can be long but worth it. Sometimes inconsistent with dip sizes.

I had a medium malt one scoop of butter pecan one scoop of chocolate chip and a banana it was wonderful.

I was born and raised in Moline/East Moline and moved to Florida as a young adult. I have been many many places in hot and sunny Florida and other tourist areas and I still have never found anything as delicious as Whitey's Ice Cream. It's been almost 30 years since I moved away, but every time I'm home, there are many visits to Whitey's and it's still as good as it's always been. My personal favorite is a cherry marshmallow malt!

It's Whitey's, what else can you say? If you're new to the area and are in the mood for some ice cream, definitely go to Whitey's.

One of the best things I miss from the quad cities. I get some every time I come home, I just wish I could get it shipped home to Colorado. My boyfriend who is originally from cedar falls, ia even loves it. One of the few reasons he likes coming back to visit the quad cities! There are so many flavors and things to mix into it or make into shakes.

Best ice cream in the world, and that's from somebody who's been around the world. The shakes and malts can't be beat and the Turtle Sunday or malt!) is still the best thing on the menu.

It is call Whitey's It is a 1950's ice cream shop in the heart land. If you find yourself in the heartland of Iowa? Stop, try the chocolate brownie ice cream, add the marshmallow cream scoop on top and than me later.

I have ordered the raspberry frozen yogurt hundreds of times over the last 20 plus years. This last time at the location in Moline I was extremely short changed. Less than a quarter of the cup, it was usually overflowing. I then made a comment to the main office and got no response!!! Terrible quantity and terrible customer service and satisfaction!

Why wife demanded a stop at Whitey's. It was my first time. I was thrilled. I went with the Boston because it sounded obnoxious and I didn't know when I'd be back. Wanted to really make it count. Boy did I!

Love the Cherry Bon Bon malt. Drove 14 hours from Tennessee to get one. Got a shake shield (coozie) so my hands don't freeze.

Fun store with about 8 young folks making the treats all at the same time. There is a place to sit out back and watch the busy intersection as you finish off your ice cream.

Sure they're out of vanilla sometimes, but that's not their fault. Way to push through the hardship

The service is good. The servers are very nice and accommodating. Everything is delicious. The only gripe to be had would be the price. Although some would say it's worth it.

I've been going to Whitey's for 45 years and the quality has never declined. It is so fun watching multiple generations walking in and enjoying a treat. I know of no other chain with such standardization and quality control.

Love the ice cream! Wished that companies would teach our youth customer service skills. Not that they were rude, they just don't know how to carry a conversation. They seize up when you talk about something other than their job.

This place is FANTASTIC! Just stopped here today since I was craving something sweet. Found it on google and tried it out and it was delicious. I love locally owned companies and the girl working was so passionate about working there and knowing the history of the place. Next time I m here for work again, I will be back!

Yes please! The pumpkin, salted caramel, and chocolate with peanut butter were all delicious! The guy running the shop solo on a Monday afternoon was crazy fast and polite.

Whitey's Ice Cream is fantastic! They have every possible sundae, shake, and malt you could possibly imagine. Plus they have dozens and dozens of ice cream flavors. My only small niggle is that it's kind of expensive, but it's a great occasional treat!

Cherry shake was really good, but the black cherry shake had pieces of black cherry in it, so it was better then the cherry shake. That's my opinion though.

What's not to like homemade real icecream and so many flavors and combos!! You can get spoiled. Fast and friendly, clean .
