The men"s changing room was a bit of a mess. No change available from reception or the cafe for the coin operated lockers.
They appeared to close different areas of the kids swimming pool for cleaning or code "brown". Kids had fun when the waves got under way. All under one roof facility.

great aquatic centre has everything spa sauna , sswimlanes wave pool kiddies pool ,coffee bac an eatery. fitness an gym ,no contracts .greart facilities
Could be a great place, however no correct information available as to status of pool before arrival at the pool complex (website/facebook and phone are all not correct in my experience). Queue management is horrendous - over an hour wait with no updates to those queuing, not even to inform that lots of the complex was closed, and no enforcement of the time limit in the pool to allow fair use by all. Staffing protocols and communication need to be updated - urgently!
Staff are ok. Council needs to spend some money on this place everything is rather tied and looking a bit dirty. Oh and stop the smokers out side the front door, yuk!
Life guards clearly have no respect for the job and it is full of teenagers who stand i. groups chatting instead of paying attention to swimmers. Have seen many children go under water while they just stand and chat oblivious to their job. It is also disgustingly dirty each time we go and never seems to be cleaned. Very sad
Wake up life guards .told I was not allowed to swim in lap lanes with my flotation belt on because it is against th pool rules yet I have been swimming with my belt on for 7 years
Great options of pools for training or for having fun, plus well maintained spa pool, sauna and steam room. Spectator friendly and cafe. Family changing rooms.
A tricky place to get parking. Difficult to find out when classes are running, when the big pool is available or whether other facilities are available or not - without actually going to the facility. And even then, while I was there swimming, I overheard a customer ask if the sauna was open and the staff member didn't know and had to go and ask! Surely all staff should be debriefed at the beginning of each shift so they can answer these kinds of simple questions swiftly. If the staff don't know, who shall we ask?
I also think a sign should be displayed that reads: A reasonable standard of dress and hygiene is required.
We swim here all the time. It's a huge and varied facility, with lane swimming, wave pool, toddler area, etc. The dedicated teaching area is great. I have two significant complaints. First, there's no area for toddlers and preschoolers to actually learn to swim with their parents. The toddler pools are too shallow to be comfortable for parents to assist with kicking, floating, and arm circles. Second, the family change rooms are too crowded. However, the adult change rooms have change tables, a fact which isn't obvious until you're forced to use them.
Really disappointing visit on Sunday. Pools closed twenty minutes after arriving due to not enough staff. Not enough showers for everyone and changing rooms and showers not very clean.
One of the best pool complexes in Auckland has a 50m pool so frequently used for competition swimming. Was built for Commonwealth games so plenty of seats and a proper diving well. Good range of other facilities for recreational activities and the cafe isn't too bad (falls cafe nearby is worth a visit). Plenty of parking and walking trails along the river if you want a break from the swimming.
Worst swimming pools we've been to. Long queues, overcrowded and the smell of chlorine was so strong gave me a headache and sore eyes. Needs upgrading.
Went in on a weekday when kids are usually in school. Good experience, the pools and facilities were clean. Did miss out on the steam room as it having maintenance but all in all great place
A pleasant place with nice staff onsite. However the lane pool has been closed for several weeks and there is almost no notification of this on the site. Merely the tiniest of little signs no bigger than an A4 piece of paper at the point where the person enters the pool. Whereas on a recent weekend, when the whole pool was full up and people were queueing outside waiting for someone to leave, there were huge signs on sandwich boards announcing this obvious fact, outside, in front of the building. On their website, although one part may say the lane pool is closed, another part just blandly talks about pool opening times and talks about the normal opening times for the lane pool, without mentioning that it is closed. The same goes for the electronic board on an inside wall. Sometimes there is no mention whatsoever that the lane pool is closed, other times it might say so at the bottom right corner, at the same time as higher up it just says the swimming pool is open from 9am to 9.30 pm; which implies that this includes the lane pool. Because surely a swimming pool IS a lane pool! So when there is no money to be made, people are properly informed, but when there is money to be made, many people would pay to go in, and only find out afterwards that the lane (ie swimming) pool is closed.
Excellent. Wife enjoyed lane swimming & hot pool; I enjoyed good coffee & healthy snack from the cafe, plus a pleasant short walk. This was on a weekday morning; can be very crowded on weekend or in school holidays; phone first.
Absolute disgrace that kids and parent, friends have to wait more than an hour in line so they can enter. Dont say 20 minute wait when it turns out to be more than a hour
Swimming pool lanes 8/10 but can be annoying during peak hours. Need to find a better way to manage. Service in gym (bald head guy) 5/10 seems very short and bad mood all the time. Front counter service 7/10. Cleanliness for women showers 7/10 needs to be more regular inspection.
Its probably the largest pool in auckland. Huge, they got slides, diving boards, deep pools, wave pools and laxy river. Awesome place for Sunday chill.
Enjoyed the wave pool, the toddler pool was closed when we got there but the wave pool defo made up for it and the shallow end is perfectly suitable for the younger ones. Water was a good temperature as well. Have not yet tried the hydro slides as our youngest is still to short. 1.2m height restriction to be allowed on the hydro slide. There are lockers that you can hire to store valuables while enjoying the pool. Quite a bit of parking available as well. Will be going again.
Love going 1st thing in the morning when it is not so busy. Hydrotherapy pools is great working 70% of the time. Lost of friendly people you get to meet each day. Not the best time to go in the school holiday.
Really good sport and recreation center. I joined them couple weeks ago, really enjoying it so far. Location is really good, they have a lot of parking there, but usually it's hard to find space, need to circle around. During school holidays the queue to the children pool starts outside of the complex Staff is usually friendly and helpful.
