I have lived here for about 14 months and am totally pleased with Westminster Palms: the location near downtown restaurants, movies, concert hall, etc; the staff is very helpful and communicative; the current Covid epidemic has been managed very well here and they have kept us safe and always update us to what is going on ;the food is very good and the staff listens to our suggestions. I plan on living here for the rest of my life, which I hope will be many years!

The Palms is a wonderful Life Plan Community to work at! What sets Westminster Palms apart, in my opinion, is the incredible respect, love and care the staff have for each resident and how the residents in turn appreciate and support each of the team members.
Just recently moved my mom into WMP. What a terrific experience. The staff and management went above and beyond to have her unit ready and made the transition as smooth as possible. Cannot say enough about the care and consideration Westminster has for the residents.
My mother was the Director of Palm Shores, before the name was changed to Westminster Palms. Since she was there I was able to meet many of the residents and employees - all extremely happy! My Mom had to resign due to her health and shortened life. Highly recommended!
For over four years I have lived at Palm Aire, Westminster Palms, St. Petersburg, FL. I have loved living here and have been very happy. The administration does a great job keeping everything running smoothly, maintainance needs are promptly and effectively met, the meals and dining services are wonderful. The staff do their best to take care of us and to keep us safe and comfortable. COVID has been difficult for all of us, but still, we have been taken care of extraordinarliy well. As the owner of Medication Call Reminder, several years ago I met with an administrator of Westminster Palms Home Care agency about our service that helps people take the right medication, right dose at the right time. I mentioned I was looking for an independent living facility for a family member and I was referred to Westminster Palms. From the moment my sister and I met with Merrilyn Toerner, Sales Director, we were both impressed with the rooms, service and financial incentive for my sister as a retired teacher.
Since that time, I've observed how much my sister enjoys being at Westminster Palms and I am assured she is getting the best of care. I highly recommend Westminster Palms for anyone who's looking for independent living and as my sister would "to live life like it's golden".
I think this place is dynamite! I left California to follow my children to St. Petersburg and Westminster Palms was the only place I considered. The location is everything! You re right on the beach and a few blocks away from downtown. I have a nice apartment on the 12th floor and I m five minutes away from my son s house. The cleaning is done very well at a regular basis and you wouldn t find any more accommodating people than those here.
When I lived in my apartment in California, I felt so isolated because my neighbors were either too young or not friendly. Getting the call to move out here saved my sanity. I met so many friends on the elevator and we often go on social outings all over the Suncoast. They call me The Mayor here! I m on the activities committee and I ve thrown five big parties, started a poker club and help with the weekly Happy Hour.
My relatives and kids think it s a grand resort. The fitness center, top-floor lounges and bistro are very impressive. There s a lot to do sometimes too much! This is a great place for the rest of my days.
I so enjoy living at Westminster Palms! When I first visited here, I sensed a great feeling of community and I was really missing that, living in a condo in my own neighborhood. When you live in a building like this, you really do find a lot of neighbors who are wonderful. I'm almost the youngest person here, but maybe not the most youthful. But the people that I've met here have had the most interesting lives. The stories that they can tell you are incredible!
Everything is really right outside my door. I love the fact that we can go to cultural events here, and take what I call "the limo." Living near downtown St. Petersburg, we get to enjoy a fantastic location, and the availability of cultural activities and facilities. The overall friendliness of this city is quite incredible, too. You can walk along the Bayfront down here and say good morning to everybody and they all respond.
Best of all, I have this very attractive apartment that I just love, and I can take my dog out for a walk very easily. There are quite a few other residents with dogs, too.
My mom lived in Westminster Palms for 27 years and I visited her often. The staff gave her the best care as she aged, so my husband and I knew this would be a place we could stay forever. I enjoy walking around our neighborhood and seeing the elegant houses, cottages and gardens. I often walk to the library, nearby post office and museum. My husband and I practice Tai Chi in the park and on the 13th floor balcony with the lovely view. My husband and I are art aficionados and enjoy the watercolor classes and musical events in the nearby parks. This is a nice town to explore and I love living here. We are privileged to live here and are eternally grateful!
I moved here four years ago once my wife and I felt it was time to leave our house. We had a big house and big yard in Orlando and I just couldn t continue maintaining everything. We wanted a place close to museums, restaurants, and a Episcopal parish that has a daily Eucharist. We also wanted to be closer to our son, who now lives 30 minutes away from me on Davis Island. When my wife passed away I had a lot of support from my family and friends here at Westminster Palms when I needed them them the most.
I have a lovely top floor residence overlooking Tampa Bay. My cats and I have a corner apartment with an east and south view of the water and I enjoy viewing the sail boats, cruise ships, and hang gliders on a daily basis. I have all the room I need with a large living room, dining room and spacious bedroom.
I like to stay involved in the community and the outside community. I attend services at the Cathedral Church of Peter in St. Petersburg once a week and I work with the Westminster Palm's chaplain facilitating group book discussions in the community for the residents. I can leave and travel the world without any worries. This is a wonderful way of life and it feels like home.
I love Westminster Palms!! Every day I pinch myself because I work in paradise. Location, location, location.... just steps away from downtown St Petersburg with incredible waterfront views of Tampa Bay. You should take a look at their lounge and outdoor deck you can see the skyline of Tampa all the way to Skyway Bridge. The team members are awesome and the residents are amazing. It s such a phenomenal place to work- benefits are incredible profit sharing, 403B, wellness programs, great insurance, tuition reimbursement and so much more. Westminster Palms has been the best career choice for me.

The staff is caring and thoughtful, from the service and food staff to the nurses and aides to the PT and management, all are dedicated to customer service and a quality lifestyle for their residents. It is obvious that they genuinely care for the safety and happiness of the people who live and work there. The amenities are wonderful, with a range of social activities, dining and services to ensure all residents have a wide variety of options in their community. I came here to deliver a package to a resident and the receptionist at the desk and older lady today was absolutely rude to me and even told me to find a new job. She really needs to work on her customer service skills.
The Westminster Palms fitness department has been a lifesaver and a lifeline during all this lockdown time in Covid. Thanks to Jill, Colin, Li and Rita for the options of certain workouts, swimming and yoga. Thanks also to Katherine for calming meditation sessions. These options have helped so much during Covid and beyond.
Westminster Palms is a great place to work! I started working here 2 months ago an the staff and leadership team are dedicated to ensuring that every resident receives the highest quality of care. Such a beautiful campus right in downtown St. Petersburg with gorgeous views of the water. I made the decision to move to Westminster Palms almost six years ago and have found that it was one of my best decisions ever. After living in our home for almost thirty years my husband became ill and eventually was a total bed patient. After time I became isolated from friends and activities that I was used to. Friends who had already moved here suggested that I could get more help with my husband and would be able to join the many social activities they had for residents. Living here at Westminster has been a blessing for me. We have many activities going on here every day and enjoy going out with groups to concerts, museums, restaurants, parks, sports games, the horse track and anything special going on in the community. The best part is always having someone to go with you. After the virus, we have stayed close to home but the staff here has been so careful and caring, we have felt safe and well taken care of. Westminster Palms has the greatest location in downtown St. Petersburg with Tampa Bay across the street giving us water access and view. We are only blocks from the best restaurants, the new St. Petersburg Pier, Museum of Fine Arts, Dali Museum and Vinoy Hotel and Marina. I feel that here at Westminster Palms I have a lovely home and the staff and residents have become a caring family, easing all concerns of the future.
A few years ago our granddaughters suggested that we look around at a retirement place. My wife and I had a big house in South Carolina, which came with a lot of maintenance and upkeep. After searching in Texas and California, we decided to look at Westminster Palms and we found that it offered everything we wanted.
We like having this nice weather and not having to worry about maintenance. We don t have to do any cooking, which is great. The staff here is outstanding and very responsive, including the administration and folks in the dining room. We enjoy the bus trips to the hockey games, nice restaurants and parks, which allows us to enjoy the city without driving.
I like to walk out and go fishing across the street at Tampa Bay all the time. I ve met many friends here and it s a perfect place to stay. It s like I ve gone to heaven and I didn t have to die to do it!
