Westin Crown Center Review

Clean room and helpful staff. Super fast elevators. Close to many great attractions. Would definitely come and stay again.

Great place for a getaway. So much to do in that part of town. We parked our car in the garage and never used it the rest of the weekend. Building is somewhat dated, service was wonderful.

Checked out the exercise facilities with a friend. Nice equipment and a rooftop pool with a great view.

Great location near lots of family friendly restaurants and activities. Just an FYI beds are soft not firm. Hotel is nice and rooms are clean. Gym is ok and is larger than most hotels. I gave 5 stars because the staff did a great job cleaning the room. Also location was great!

The food, drinks, and service were all very good although a bit high in price in my opinion.

Brasserie Restaurant - Great food, great service. And you can't beat the Christmas atmosphere of the connected hotel and shopping center.

Rooms ,pool, dinning all great. Parking garage colors should not be the same as the connecting parking garage. Confused many people. Check in was slow. Festival right outside is wonderful.

The rooms are very comfortable, and tht bathrooms are clean and large. The view of the city is breathtaking at night. The exercise facility is well stocked with 3 separate areas for equipment and weights as well as a lane in the pool reserved for lap swimming.

A definite must! Learning about how the Hall family started Hallmark was amazing. Watching the short film is key to the history of this incredible family. Steve in the gift shop was a wealth of information about the history of the beautiful ornaments. His passion for being a Hallmark team member was infectious...I bought three ornaments!

We were here last year for the same event. We were pleased with the service and the rooms. The staff is very helpful and pleasant.

I stayed at the Westin hotel in Kansas City, a supposed 4 diamond rated hotel, but I was honestly shocked to find the condition of the facility was very poor.! Two tiny thin mattress double beds that did not fit one full size adult, much less two. The beds were hard and extremely uncomfortable. In our room there was a smear of something brown on the carpet that I shudder to think what it could have been. The couch and chairs were stained with something that I had to put towels to sit on because I was afraid of what it was. There were gaping holes in the wall by the window that you could see between the wall spaces from the outside and inside walls. In the bathroom there were dirty broken green gunky fixtures with hair in the bathroom, and the shower head was cloudy with water spots. The curtains were dirty,The desk was sticky, and there was dirty furniture and walls. Even the windows were really dirty and cloudy. It was really bad, and I have no idea why a luxury hotel would have such poor accommodations.

I travel a fair amount and when I can afford it, I like to treat myself to a nicer hotel, but the Westin was a complete failure. Not only that, but the costs of everything was beyond expensive.. Room service breakfast, parking, and internet charges were added the the terrible experience of our stay!

I hate to say it, but I would tell everyone to stay far away from the Westin in KC if you are needing a hotel in downtown KC.

Shame on me for thinking the Westin with its luxury price would be worth it. The Westin was not even worth what you would normally pay for a budget hotel.. I do not understand how that brand lets that hotel keep operating at such a sub-par level. NEVER will I choose any Westin hotel again.

18th floor, convention was very loud and construction started early. Hotel comp'ed breakfast and parking, so pleased with response, but still long loud evening.

Passing through the lobby going to another location we discovered a hotel that we are going to stay at very soon.

Large clean rooms serviced daily with comfortable beds.
Buffet breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. Only thing missing was English Breakfast Tea as the Americans do not understand that tea does not mean flavoured water

Our stay Satuday night was amazing. We were catered to as expected, the food was amazing, the view spectacular and the sleep we got in the bed was so good we missed breakfast. Will be back again!

Great location in the heart of Kansas City. Proximity to Union Station, shops, and restaurants is a plus. The staff was friendly and helpful; from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant. Facilities were fantastic and the staff takes pride in their establishment.

Excellent hotel with great staff. The parking garage is a little tight, so be careful if you're in a larger vehicle.

I only spent time walking through trying to access the sky link but the lobby was very indicative of the kind of place that makes fun of people who want a room for less than $80 a night... The lobby waterfall was easily 20 ft tall, very impressive. Would love to be able to stay at a place like this, but would have to see the bill.

It's beautiful. Lots of shops inside and restaurants. Outside fountains "dance" to music. Streetcar close by to take you all through downtown and river market free of charge! Lots to see and do. Nostalgic Union Station close by as well

The room was great, but our experience was tainted after we wanted to eat breakfast and order the $17 buffet in the morning, we only chose the buffet because the room service menu didn't offer choices that suited what we wanted for our end of honeymoon breakfast. When we arrived we were asked if we were club members, to which we replied we were not, and the hostess stumbled around her words and trying to find where to seat us because we were not club members, but we were guests. We were then sat at the bar, which wouldn't have been horrible except we were then presented with a menu to order from that offered the same items as room service, which we didn't want. When the bartender attempted to resolve the issue she brought over a manager who then made us feel even more uncomfortable explaining that they were having a brunch for club members and then offered us different pricing for items, by this time we felt embarrassed, as several people at the bar were watching us and listening into the conversation, and just wanted to eat. Honestly felt as though we were being dismissed because we were not dressed in business attire, and we're in relaxed wear because it's Sunday and we are on the last day of our mini honeymoon. If reservations are required to eat a breakfast in the Westin at Kansas City, this should be disclosed to the guest at time of check in. We didn't think they were required because it is not an upscale restraint with a high demand for five star food, apparently the Westin thinks otherwise. I will never frequent this hotel again, and may never stay with any hotel associated with the Marriott.

Great hotel where the experience and staff are top notch.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic views. Very confortable beds with down blankets amd pillows. Close to power and light district. Friendly staff. I would definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone wanting a nicer place to stay while in KC.

I stay at least a few time a year and pretty much know most of the staff by name at this point. This hotel has been through a lot over the years including remodels and management changes, but regardless it has always been a hallmark of Kansas City hotels that has undeniably great service, well equipped rooms, and adequate food options and best of all it is connected to the department store halls as well as all of crown center. I would say this hotel is far superior to the four star hilton hotel just down the road. This hotel will always hold a special place in my heart!

We were supposed to stay at the residence inn, but it is not done with a remodelling. The westin is further from the convention center, but the room is spacious, the bed is comfy, and the pool is outdoors. So, it's worth the walk

I was at the Westin for a wedding at Union Station. I enjoyed the location greatly. I had the opertunity to explore the link and all the great shops in the different locations and I spent a day going through the WWI museum across the street. The Tomm was clean and had a brilliant view.

Beautifully maintained older property in a great neighborhood. Staff was great. Rooms decently modern. I like Westin more each time I stay.

Desk service was prompt and courteous. I stayed in the 7th floor in a comfortable room. I enjoyed my very pleasant stay.

Mind boggling how big this place is and it is attracted to the mall. Rooms are comfortable although the walls seem a little thin.

Great place to stay to be near a lot of things to do. The lobby is very nice. The room shows its age a bit but nothing horrible. The staff is very friendly. Sometimes too friendly if that can be a problem. Had people coming at us from all directions when we first arrived. Great pool and fitness areas. Would definitely recommend.
