Westin Beijing Chaoyang Review

The Westin Hotel on Financial Street is really very good, the traffic is very convenient, the room is very large, the check-in is on the 17th floor, the view is OK, facing the life building. The bathing products in the room are white tea spa series, which feels good to use. Especially the chrysanthemum tea supplied is quite good, especially suitable for summer drinking, awesome. There are large shopping centres and supermarkets nearby. There are a lot of places to eat around, not far from home and small halls, good value for money. The swimming pool on the 5th floor is OK, there are not many people, there are rest beds by the pool, the hotel is worth recommending, the hotel service is also thoughtful, the service ecology of the lobby is also very good.

The equipment is very old and can not be considered a five-star hotel. The cabinets in the room have damaged marks and the bed is ok. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I couldn't enter the house. If I asked, I would give me the room card directly. When I got to the room, the cleaning staff was still cleaning! The gym is ok, but the pool has a strange smell.

Nobody speaks an accepable level of english and staff are extremely unhelpful. We tried to go out for dinner on a Friday night and spent 40 minutes waiting for a taxi. Terrible terrible terrible! Also, the rooms smell like cigarettes. Will never come back here, the Intercontinental is the better hotel.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Loved the room, the food, and the setting. Front desk Joel was wonderful. He went out of his way to help us with all our needs. His service was superb in all areas. Thank you for making our trip special.

The property is being renovated, so without pool, gym etc.
Front reception staff have limited English and so I found all enquires were to no avail. They had no clue.
For instance, Do you have a menu for room service?
Is there a menu in our room?
This was includes the restaurant staff.

The hotel is in financial district so don t stay here if you re wanting to go for a walk at night/day. Nothing is happening in this area. Only offices.

Hotel was internet was non existent in our room.
Air conditioning in room didn t work properly.

Recommend an English afternoon tea in the lobby, the service over the place, compact and high quality snacks, gathering with friends, a good place for business meetings. The only downside is I do not know whether the construction of an underground car park, super strong paint smell ~ ~ overall five-star hotel is well-deserved.

This review is just for the buffet!

As with any top quality hotel in Beijing - they have a dueling Sunday buffet brunch with all of the other elite hotels. Their buffet impresses. They serve everything from dim sum to sushi to western dishes. And there's an endless supply of champagne if you so desire. Since I enjoy myself some bubbly... we probably went through 3 bottles between the two of us. More than worth the price of the buffet :)

If I were you - I'd try out all the buffets at all of the top restaurants in Beijing. I can't say this is my favorite because they all have their unique flavors!

Very nice Westin right in the middle of the financial district. No, this is not The Peninsula, but it delivers very well for a higher-than average, business hotel.

Five-star hotel, the location is very good, in the third ring location, not far from the famous universities, just Beijing is too inconvenient to take a taxi. The bathroom in the room is spacious and bright, the toiletries are more like, the bed is big, the bed room is about 2 meters wide, and the 4 pillows are very soft and clean.

Worked out in their gym on a "day pass". USD 50$! Gym gear was good although sparse. Locker room is tiny and the showers are moldy. Great pool.

Name stands for it. Surrounded by banks and business class hotels. They have great ambient and choice of cuisine.

I absolutely loved my experience. First of all the staff is so dang friendly and helpful. They did whatever to upgrade me after booking the same night, carried my bags up, and brought a fruit tray up to me. The food. Omg the food for breakfast is incredible because you get a buffet of everything from Chinese things to more Western eggs etc. WARNING: half this hotel is under construction so if you're not expecting this or getting a better deal then you will be disappointed. You'll have to work out at the Ritz down a few blocks. So come it you can get a good deal. If not then you're missing a gym, pool, lounge!
