The hotel is great, And very close to the center city, very friendly, a great place to stay.
Might be a one off, but we had a terrible experience. First off, when we came in we saw that the cups and plates had dirty spots on them. So we went down to the desk to ask if they could be changed. We waited but they never were changed. Then, at 3am, we heard people shouting for a long time. I looked out the window and someone is by the window in their room smoking. They have people in their room and they're playing music and shouting to each other. For the price of the room, I expected far more. Only unspide was the cental location
Old but reasonably well maintained. Friendly staff. Great firm (but not too hard) beds!
A great hotel. Nice room, comfy bed. Great breakfast. Would love to stay again
Close proximity to everything in Central Wellington
the rooms are clean n tidy.. comfy bed, our room had a quren ben and a sofa bed.. so i consider it a valued stay.. location is near the busy cuba st
Hotel is so central, right next to Cuba and Courtney! Staff were really friendly and helpful, felt welcome and would definitely stay again. Ate in their restaurant, Wakefields last night and it was very tasty. I would recommend you give it a try!
Very professional staff. Good conference venue with good access to second floor (lifts and stairs). Liked the spacious double height foyer area and the layout of the ground floor restaurant and bar area. Could talk to a big group, and individuals with ease. Central location 10 mins walk from train and 10 minutes walk Te Papa.
HOW DISGUSTING! BAD MANAGEMENT.
A very horrible staff, trust me..
You have a very bad service, you should be ashamed how you work.
Car parking sucks. Use the expensive Wilson park behind. Easier access
Great location. But too close to street and car park so wasn't quite. The room was also average
Stayed for a weekend and upgraded to a suite which made it pleasant stay. We will go back again.
Popped in for dinner on the off chance. Great staff, great food. Lovely setting.
No microwave in the room which prevents heating up of food. Beautifully clean and comfortable.
OK food. Plain, office-like venue, feeling of a cheap motel decorated above its basic structure.
First class reception. Made to feel very welcome. Bent over backwards to help in any way.
Good service, good size rooms and comfy bed. Location is perfect only down side no aircon was far to hot in the rooms and only a little fan for air.
Noisy room. Request a room at the back away from Wakefield St.
Experience was standard, room was ok and the bed was pretty good, but the shower pressure was below standards and the sink smelt like sewage which made the bathroom smell bad, breakfast was pretty good and the overall stay could of been better, hope they fix the sink problem soon.
Nice place. A little dated but it's clean, tidy, centrally located, well priced, and the staff are great. Breakfast is far too cheap if you get a bed and breakfast deal, it's unbeatable in central Wellington for a tenner.
Comfortable, convenient, great staff, laundry facilities adequate - luggage storage, helpful taxi booking with capped prices for WP Hotel guests, lounge in foyer very popular with coffee available.
Great location. Central to everything. Staff were fantastic & went out of their way to be helpful & friendly. Dined in the restaurant twice as the food was so good. My only two suggestions for improvement would be that the "scrambled" eggs in the breakfast buffet could be greatly improved & a fan in the rooms wouldn't go astray as the rooms tended to be quite stuffy at night, even with both windows open.
Would definitely stay there again & would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Wellington.
Reasonable prices and centrally located in downtown Wellington.
Room vetuste
Nil bathroom
Too expensive for delivery
Excellent location
The rooms were not properly sound proofed. Stayed there for 3 nights and unfortunately for us, Saturday night was one of them. You can feel the room reverberate while you lie in bed. The sink was clogged. The shower curtain kept sticking to my skin while I had a shower which was disgusting. The parking seemed unsafe and was not worth $25. There was a car park behind the hotel that was offering $10 a night. So we opted for that one instead. Will definitely not be staying there again.
Perfect location - easy to get to bars and restaurants and to the shops
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms need a bit of updating but are fine. Our room didn t have air conditioning but had a fan
Booking directly was the cheapest
Room faced lombard and there was quite a lot of noise from the carpark, but it was saturday night!
Under disguise of being eco-friendly the hotel doesn't even has a single glass in the (bath) room. Stuffy smelly badly ventilated room, partly blocked drains, no coffee/tea in room, half-heartedly working remote for TV. Would expect more for $160 per night. Will not return.
The small details count!! Loved that my luggage was picked up from my conference location, delivered to west plaza hotel and put into my room..
Check-in staff very efficient and friendly.
Room is clean,tidy and comfortable.
Bathroom is small and clean - most welcoming was a separate face cloth to remove my residual makeup.
Overall it is a great place to stay
Central, comfortable accommodation, helpful staff, great breakfast.
we had a work function held here for a couple of days. the room was alright, good amount of tables, chairs. the staff weren't too approachable and didn't really look like they wanted to be there.. the food that was available to us for catering purposes wasn't the best either- in terms of not that pleasant to eat and not really suitable for large groups of attendees to a work function. it was okay but not great
handy to most things , good staff, some of it getting a bit tired looking but that is being picky
Very happy with location, staff very friendly and always helpful, highly recommend to all.
Rooms are very dated, no air conditioning and very noisy from street below. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Would not recommend, expensive for what you get.
Poor hotel with noisy rooms terribly room service food.
In addition to the location is convenient and clean. The room layout is too simple and the bathroom is not as good as the restaurant of this class. There is no free parking service, the room window only faces the window of another room in the same hotel, so you can only pull up the curtains to watch TV.
Nice hotel, conveniently located near Te Papa and the harbour. Room was well proportioned, but decor slightly dated. Restaurant had a reasonable variety and the continental breakfast was fresh & tasty. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Hotel is in need of renovation.
Our room was getting old.
I would still turn a blind eye but I do not understand fun in terms of cleanliness.
The floor looked like he was not properly sucked (crumbs on the floor)
Table has stuck.
Then when brushing the drain was clogged.
After an unpleasant cleaning of this by me, the water luckily ran off again.
The bathroom was not cleaned properly to all excess.
We spent on our tour in private b & b and logdes and were very impressed by these but that a hotel in such a city would deliver something we would not dream.
Prompt and friendly reception service. Easy parking.
Great location for a business course. Facilities modern and comfortable. Great food and excellent service.
Left my laptop there after my stay. They kindly sent it back to me! Great restaurant.
Good place to stay in the central city. Get a park underneath and your sorted.
The hotel is well located. Unfortunately the rooms are not very modern and you can find some rust in the washroom. There seemed to be a mix-up with the breakfast, which had been paid in advance. The staff was nice helpful and corrected the mistake.
Nice place need some money spent to bring up to a higher standard
Clean, comfortable, good location and very reasonably priced
Not informed of construction outside window, found restaurant pricey for what you got. Staff and Hotel itself excellent.
OK. Nice rooms. Friendly staff in dining area. Poor cleaning of rooms. Great locations for easy walking to lots of cool spots...Te Papa, waterfront, Courtney Place
A very grateful thank you, for putting us up, when we were desperate, on an extremely busy weekend in Wellington.
Shower pressure really low and very noisy next to car park but otherwise fine
Nice spacious clean room. Comfy bed. Nice bathroom but didn't like how water from shower flows up to the base of the toilet. Lovely dinner in the restaurant. Were given wrong room number when checked in which was a bit annoying. Had trouble looking for a park before checking in as had no idea where on site parking was. It's a few spaces out the back. Need to pay $25 and put a piece of paper on your dash. Great spot to be, close to everything. Will stay there again
Good cental hotel. Staff v pleasant and helpful from checkin to checkout
A good hotel, central and convenient for visitors to Wellington.
Rooms are a bit noisy from the traffic. Service at breakfast this time was a huge improvement.
Few areas of improvement.
1. There is no short term parking for drop off.
2. Hotel car park is extremely tight. No lines in one area, so lots of wasted space.
3. Shower does not have a box or screen. So easy to flood bath room. Bath mat is kind of pointless.
4. No extractor fan in the bathroom so mirror foggy after shower.
5. No flick mixer in the basin. So one hot tap and one cold.
What was good.
1. Front desk service.
Awesome service. Nothing is a problem. Forget Air B&B... this is the place to stay I Wellington city
Rooms are slightly dated and with no air con. Staying in a room down the far back is just way to noisy - constant all through the night.
Staff were polite. Food is below average
