Perfect family Ski Mountain. The new modern lifts makes taking my novice (8 yr old) daughter skiing so much easier. The slopes are groomed beautifully and ice is nowhere to be found.
90 minutes lessons are perfect for some time alone with my wife. Food and service even on busy days are top notch. For a family you can't beat West Mountain. So much easier than some other places for a family to truly enjoy the entire day.

Went to the Fall Festival. Grossly understaffed and poorly organized in general. Of the 4 hours we were there we stood in lines for 3 hours to do only 3 activities and lunch. We will not ever go there again.

The food is overpriced, customer service is not outstanding and we had to wait in like for 45 minutes to get a slice of pizza there is also not a lot of seating but tubbing is great.

Moved upstate to Saratoga a few years ago and bought myself my first pair of skis at a great old school shop in town called Alpine. Upon purchase, they encouraged me to check out West. I wasn't all that aware of it and had planned on primarily frequenting Gore. After two trips to Gore where I was mostly going sideways on ice (Gore has horizontal acreage and get skied off), I decided to give West a shot. I never went back to Gore. West is 15 minutes from my door, well priced, and as someone who has never skied the Rockies, has as good snow conditions as I have ever found in the East. Only comparator is Okemo unless you go way up North - and then its too cold anyway. If you are an intermediate skier and enjoy groomed cruisers, short lift lines, fair prices, friendly people, and good beer, then check out my new home, West.

We had a great experience skiing and snowboarding. Helpful and friendly staff. Good facilities, but a little rudimentary compared to some other ski places. The slopes were awfully steep and the weather was literally freezing cold, but I'm from Florida, so others might actually enjoy those things.

Not a terrible mountain for the price however there are some major downsides. The size of the mountain really limits it. It takes triple the time going up the lift than it does going down the mountain. The size and the fact every trail can be used by beginners also makes it incredibly dangerous as it's very crowded and people crash all the time. A teenager died on the mountain about a year or two ago. Another issue is that the snow quality is always poor, most of the mountain is ice. Even with a good snow fall where's there's a fluffy layer they'll make snow that freezes over it. The man made snow is also awful when it gets on anything you own, it's like glue, also you'll have a bitter taste in your mouth for days. Also most of the people that go to the mountain are really rude, I've seen skiers and snowboarders purposely spray snow or throw snow balls at people who have been injured. If you get injured I wouldn't count any stranger getting help. However, this isn't something that they can control. The price for the tickets and food are good though, they also have deals for using a certain bank, being a student, military, etc

tried to pitch me a $3.50 pbr deal . No happy hour. Will not be dining here again.

The skiing was great! But the staff aren't the friendliest or knowledgeable. Even other patrons are rude!

Great mountain, absolutely major improvements this year, snowmaking is now constant with 25 brand new high end guns. New LED lighting covers the entire face, all of it, and is very bright. New lift is better than the last, but not the best. Current Northwest lift sucks, but next year they will be replacing it with the rest of the new lift that they didn't use and creating another lodge. Fantastic mountain.

We did tubing. It was fun. The hill was pretty fast, and you'd go spinning like crazy! The lift to the top however was very slow, and broke down a few times when I was there. Plus, holding the tubes on it isn't easy. It's fun, but beware of crowds

What a joke this place is, food is horrible, bar staff not friendly, and the sking is a total joke, please don't waste your money here..

This is really good place for show tubing. 15 mins drive only from Lake George. Good for beginners Snow tubing also. Fire bit and bon fire was good too. Inside store looked very much crowded. So didn't use it due to covid reason. Lots of people done sking also. I guess good for sking also. 4 PM to 6 PM slot is really Good. Worth visit including family and young kids also. Loved it.

To concern all those that are considering going to West Mountain for the season, I would not recommend it. The staff are rude, and the management, do not know what they are doing.
I am writing this review for a friend, who s pass was said to have been revoked, just because he commented on how they could improve, yet they received the comment the wrong way. In my opinion, a business should never put backlash on their own customers, something I hope West Mountain can learn in the future.

So much great snow!. Definitely a "soft" opening. Trails were not groomed. Their covid system was good! Lol forward to going back

Great ski resort, not super busy, great for learning

I liked this ski resort but I went tubing. The hills are good and you go down pretty fast. But the lines are long depending on what day you would choose to go
