If I could rate negative stars I would. I was in the ER for FOUR HOURS to only receive a shot and a prescription. Due to my frequent UTI s ( because I m allergic to penicillin so they have a hard tome finding medicine to put me on that will help) I have a lower back pain on my right side and all they did was give me ibuprofen. You don t think I tried that already? They SHOULD have given me an x-ray to see what was causing the pain or anything. On top of that while everyone is in the waiting room not feeling good the desk people are sitting there laughing eating being loud while others are trying to rest due to illness. THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLE AND THEIR JUST TRYING TO GET MONEY OUT OF YOU.

Very efficient. Got my vaccine exactly at the scheduled time. Staff was friendly, had us gang out to make sure we didn't have a reaction. Glad I came here for the vaccine

I went to the ER tonight on my birthday by the way because I spotted something that scared me on my body and didn't have any idea what it was. Two nurses came in at different times and looked at it and was more into helping me. Dr. Foster came in 2 seconds looked at it said it was an abrasion. An abrasion??? Keep it clean and not to wear a bra for at least 2 days. I said I have to work he said oh ok. He looked at my thumb that has been looking horrible from dry skin and steam burn for 2 weeks said doing good. Just keep it clean. My blood pressure was high (never is) did not even recheck before I left. I felt like I was bothering him.

Tyler was cool. He calmed my teen son before his shot. Before, my son realized anything the shot was over. Thanks Tyler

On my first shot the guy didn t pinch my arm and it felt like a large gauge needle
I know that it Doesn t hurt as much then going slowly in with a needleAnd I didn t feel anything when Bill gave me my second shot And I didn t feel a thing he did a great job but the second shot made me seriously sick for six days

My mother was in west jefferson for 4 day . She has dementia and when she got discharged, was left at the door . Luckily we found her wondering a couple buildings down but this is the worst of the worst. Unless it's an emergency and you can't make it to another hospital , pray you make it through this one. No one there cares or knows what to do .

Very unprofessional staff! Patient's have no privacy what so ever because the Nurses/ Dr's discuss your business with the entire desk crew. I walked out.

From the time I walked in until the time I left, I felt like I was top priority! I was greeted with a smile from every person I encountered. The staff was very knowledgeable took the time to answer all my questions/concerns. The videos I have seen on social media said it best. I felt like family! Thank you WJMC .

Went here to get my COVID vaccine. Tyler was fantastic! Quick and easy. Barely felt the needle.

The staff at this hospital is great. They take great care of me and my family, especially if we don't feel too well.

I recently was a patient at West Jefferson hospital upon arrival I was treated with the highest level of care. The nurses are well trained in every aspect of their profession.my stay there was not ordinary the nurses that cared for me went above and beyond their duty they treated me with dignity and respect as if I was a family member. I m forced to call them by name Monica Miller,Tristian Perkins,Stephanie Hayden. These are indeed my heroes I will never forget my experience you guys and rest of the staff.

Took my Grandma to get a vaccine. The whole process was very organized and everyone was super helpful.

Rude staff dirty rooms with fruit flies lack of communication with staff. Had to pick one star it should have been a zero. Tv broke, shower leak in the hallway, parts of the bed would not raise up. The best part, employees agreed and recommended a different hopsital

What an awesome team providing the covid vaccine! Setting up appointments for my elderly parents and aunt was a breeze. They had nothing but kind words for the team when they showed up for their vaccines. Thank you for going above & beyond for the care you showed them! Truly appreciated!!!

Some things are not up to par.
But this hospital is more hospitable than Ochsner, at least at West Jefferson they don't kick you out n stick in a corner off the well needed oxygen.

Got in quickly and was able to get to my appointment with no trouble at all!

They're currently doing construction on the front entrance, but the signage makes it easy to navigate in the building.

I'll update this review again once the construction is over!

I came here to get my covid vaccine. From the time I walked in to the time I left everyone was very nice and courteous. The place was very clean, and the space was appropriately distanced for everyone to sit at each station. After your shot they have you sit in your last area for a certain amount of time just for precaution (I m guessing). Which I thought was nice. While I was there everyone was fine. They were smiling and laughing with their family, or playing on their phones. One lady was light headed. But after some sugar she was fine. I had that happened to me after somebody drew my blood. So that s not really a concern to me. Overall, great experience with the staff, and so far so good with the vaccine.

If I could give this hospital 0 star I would. Took my 7 year old here 2 years ago for stomach pains, was sent home 3 days straight with doctors telling us he has this and that. My son was rushed to the children's hospital the next day and inturned and immediately prepared for emergency surgery due to apendix bursting. We were told my son had Less then 24 hours to live if we did not get him there that day my son would have been dead the next day!!!! I thought I'd share my story with u all in hopes this may save another child's life. Don't bring ur kids here these people don't know what they are doing!

Staff was extremely nice. Covid shot was given quickly with little to no pain!

Unfortunately my wife was unable to get the vaccine due to recent tetanus shot on our appointment. The nurse was very kind and rescheduled us for the same day the following week. Although we drove 20 miles and took time off work, the nurse was very helpful to reschedule. Appreciate the good customer service.

Mom was brought to ER for a fall 8 weeks after hip replacement and no orthopedic Dr was called in . Can t walk on that leg and case worker called told me she needed to go into a nursing home cause her family can t care for her ! Told mom she was ordering her a wheelchair cause she would never walk again ! As of Monday she still has not been diagnosed ! Family had to call Orthopedic Dr to stop them from discharging her Monday !

I sent a complaint in and they ignored me for half a year and did not contact me until I randomly got a letter in the mail saying my case had been reviewed and they did not find anything to be wrong. The doctors and nurses are on drugs. It's the only answer. They so not remember who you are and repeatedly ask the same questions and then ask you if they've already asked the question. The nurse practioner clearly broke the hippa law by revealing my information to my friends waiting in the lobby. When I asked them to leave so the doc and I could talk in private. Places like these should not be open. They do not care about the patients only about our money. We are not people

I have been sitting in the emergency waiting room since 6:45 this morning with abdominal pain amoung other things and still have not been seen by a doctor and its 10:45. I will never come here again

Emergency personnel treated my heart attack as soon as I walked in. The entire staff treated me like I was
family. The food was good, the roomph are clean, and the staff was professional. What more do you nee?

Nurse Kelly was so sweet and amazing! She gave me my shot and it felt painless. She explained everything I needed to know and made me feel comfortable for this P Fizer vaccination. Ms Karen was especially wonderful with keeping me and my sister informed and cheerful before and after the shot. Ms Brandy handled our registration, she was quick and gave us a good laugh to brighten the day. Everyone was truly an angel

West Jefferson s commitment to the community is outstanding. The mass vaccinations that they perform daily to ensure our community stays safe is commendable.

Had a cardiac event whilst driving - this was the closest place. From the moment I hit ER, through trauma, ICU and then observation in a normal room for another day, the nurses and doctors took amazing care of me. I was constantly kept in the loop re diagnosis and status (admittedly I kept asking questions) and the care and consideration of each staff member was outstanding. From my experience

Nikia, Tricia and Karen were amazing! They walked me thru my entire process of getting my covid vaccine. I was a little nervous at first but they kept me calm and treated me with the utmost care.

I have a loved one who is currently in this hospital under Dr. Fervil's care for vomiting. Prior to discharge the family would like to make sure our loved one can eat without throwing up.

Dr. Fervil was dismissive and stated "You try to feed her yourself when you make it home and watch it will probably go into her lungs."

Who would say such a thing!?

This has been the absolute WORST health care experience we've had to date. This provider is arrogant, lacks compassion and negative.

Simple requests associated with my loved one's care (like baths and changing soiled linen/clothing) were ignored. Some family members have had to do what is typically left to the nurses.

I fully understand that things are stressed due to COVID-19 but some things are unacceptable.

There are some administrators/clinicians attempting to assist with our concerns - who are GREATLY APPRECIATED.

But most of those caring for my non-COVID loved one have lacked compassion.

But after this, I will advocate that my relatives NEVER visit West Jefferson again.

So...... I got my first COVID vaccine. I was so nervous, the staff when I arrived was very kind with smiles on their face. They answered my questions and the injection I barely felt. I get my second vaccine in 21 days, I want the same doctor to give me the second vaccine, he was amazing! Thank you!!!

Went and got our 2nd vaccine today and everyone there was awesome, knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for doing what y all do.

I have delivered three children at this hospital as of February 22, 2021. The first child twelve years ago, the second nine years ago. Both of those experiences were pleasant, however this one, not so pleasant. There were a few staff members that were absolutely amazing. Mrs. Rebecca in the nursery was most memorable for us, she was always so happy and eager to help. However there were many others who gave the impression that we were a bother. Throughout the years I have told everyone what a great experience I have had at West Jefferson Medical Center, but, those days are over I will never recommend this place again after some of the treatment we received. If I'd have known this place had gone so far down hill in the past nine years I would have went to Ochsner. With that being said, if you are reading this, save yourself some hardships and pick a more professional environment to have your child in.

Friendly efficient staff that may you feel comfortable about taking the vaccine. When I took my second vaccine Brittany H. was pleasant and fast and made you feel comfortable while she was giving you the vaccine. Great experience with her!

I had a great experience with receiving my vaccine and the entire staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, polite, professional and punctual. Every department flowed very smoothly. I would recommend this location to everyone.

We had the most amazing experience at WJMC. My Dad was transferred there in 2016 after a horrible experience at University Medical Center. WJMC was incredible - thorough, communicative, caring. Thank you, from me and from my family. You saved my Dad's life and gave us peace. We will be forever grateful.

Rosetta D Hixson is a terrible Dr. She has no business with the medical field. I had to wait over 12hrs to see her after the hospital assigned her as my Primary Dr while in the ER. Her supervisor/senior Dr had to instruct her to leave whatever she was doing and attend to her patient who is having a bad sickle cell crisis. She walks into the room and said to me that i do not look like someone in a crisis because i wasn't jumping up and down the place. She is a terrible person for a Doctor.

Very very very very rude nurses! I m from Mississippi and I ve never been in a hospital where the nurses walk in the room and say absolutely NOTHING to the family! I m appalled!

The covid vaccine clinic is very fast, very organized and ALL the staff members are sweet and friendly.

I was most impressed with the West Bank covid vacine site. The team members for both visits were super friendly and the whole process was so well organized. There was hardly any wait time.

Make sure you let the ER doctors know you have little to no kidney function when you come in. My mother was given a dye contrast for an MRI but didn't bother to ask if she had kidney problems. Probably died because of it. F this hospital.

ETA: Not the first bad experience I've had here. I've told my loved ones that if it's a choice between dying and sending me to West Jeff, just let me die. It'll be a quick, clean death compared to what these a-holes would have in store for me.

I love the conveniences of West Jefferson Medical Hospital provides in terms of it being in walking distance from where I am living for my doctor's visits. Also, there is a fitness center and a Walgreen's pharmacy on site for filling my prescriptions.

Got my covid vaccine, so fast and efficient. I was in and out. The staff was friendly and on it. Tyler was awesome, didn't even feel it. 10/10

My check in nurse Christine was very polite. All the staff was very patient and kind. Answer all questions and explained everything to me.

From the time we entered the hospital the staff was amazing. My daughter received the best care. She was very appreciative to all of the staff. We were here many years ago and they were awesome then. I highly recommend West Jefferson Medical Center. They will all be in my prayers.

It's not the best, but not quite The worst either...

Worse than a military or a charity hospital. The lack of parking made me late. I was then treated like garbage for being late. They made me wait an hour and then I couldn't even see anyone! The front desk nurses yelled out patient information for the whole room to hear. Completely unprofessional and hateful!

The Dr's, nurses, Chaplains and the staff are some of the most compassionate people I have ever met! The care and consideration that they showed my sister was impressive.

This is by far the worst hospital I've been too not only did they not take any measures to make sure it wasn't anything serious he didn't seem sincere about my concerns I would have been better off googling my problems then wasting my insurance here unless you have a death wish don't go here!

I went in having back pains from some heavy lifting I had done earlier in the week, and was suffering from some pretty severe panic attacks. I was sent to a smaller area where they apparently take the patients who don't seem to be having life-threatening conditions. Some nurse practitioner walked in, didn't bother to atempt to take a history, barely touched my back, immediately took me as a drug seeker (I am currently taking part in clinical trials for an endometriosis medication, the only medication we are actually allowed to take while on the trial is Vicodin, and the physician running the trial has me on a consistent weekly dosing schedule of it, but according to the study protocol we can't take NSAIDS, aspirin, muscle relaxers, anything like that for any kind of pain at all), got a quick urine sample and dismissed me with antibiotics for a UTI and said that's where the pain was coming from. And she didn't even attempt to help with the panic attack issue I am STILL having at the moment. I left absolutely disgusted that this person spent probably a total of 2 minutes with me, did a complete joke of an "exam" on me, took no history, automatically assumed I was drug-seeking, didn't even attempt to address the panic attack problem, and sent me on my merry way with some form of pain medication that I am not allowed to take under the study protocol. So here I am, still barely able to move thanks to the back pain, and still feeling like a ball of nerves thanks to the anxiety problems. This rathole is not getting any money from me, and I am filing a complaint.

Staff is less than attentive a lacks compassion. A friend had a full shoulder replacement July 2, 2019 and was not offered anything to eat or drink until the morning of July 3rd. When my friend asked for something to eat he was told the kitchen was closed. This was by far the worst medical experience of his life

I had to have major surgery on my back and needless to say I was scared to death. I arrived 5:00 in the morning for my surgery and I can't say enough good things about the entire staff at West Jeff hospital. From the time I arrived until the time I was discharge I was treated with compassion and truly felt like family. All the nurses were amazing. They took care of me like I was a part of there family and not just the nurses everyone who cared for me from the time I arrived until the time I left were amazing. I am grateful to the entire staff and wish them all the best. Thank you for being so compassionate and caring. And I have an amazing doctor who I trust with my life and his nurses are like family to me and the best nurses anyone could ask for. Sending love to all of you and may God bless all of you.

Awesome staff, line for COVID vaccine was real quick. Guy named Tyler was real helpful and informative!

I pulled up and walked into the facility 30 minutes early. They took me right away. All that assisted me were kind and very helpful. The nurse that processed me, even read the questions to me because my glasses kept fogging up. The nurse that administered the shot, Tim was funny and it helped to relax my nerves. Thanks for a great experience.
