Nice library.. Make reading more enjoyable and great.

The people who designed and set-up this facility do not understand how to accommodate the needs of toddlers even inside the kids section.

As a parent you feel you cannot move fast and play helping your toddlers to explore their body and burn of energy in a safe and controlled manner. The flooring is not appropriate for moving tables and benches because it would get scratched rendering instant group activities impossible when yuh need to reconfigure the table and bench placement.

Other libraries have a more toddler friendly approach.

My grandson and I had so much fun here. We walked in just in time for a preschoolers activity session led by a nice gal named Emily. The kids books selections are so up to date and the displays so attractive you feel more like you're in a Barnes and Noble. The kids wing just goes on and on with not only books but several really nice play areas. There's even a basic room if your tot gets munchy. I had trouble dragging him out of the library when it was time to go to lunch.

Very Great Library. But unfortunately it is filled with very rude and disrespectful staff. First of all it is none of their business what am I talking about in the room. Second of all, if I want to swear in my study room, it is my space and they have no rights to kick my group out for another group just because I "swore". Besides the staff being rude, they are being so lazy and make you feel unwelcome in this library. If I had the chance, I would have gone to another Township library rather than being in this place with staff who do not know how to be respectful. It could be really helpful if the staff could be authorized or changed.

This library could be wonderful for young children. However, the ladies in the children s area, are not enthusiastic about their jobs or children, and activities are often shortened. They have a large open area that could be filled with wonderful things for toddlers. But it is almost empty except for a few bolsters not much else. This is a beautiful library with lots of potential to inspire young readers.Their special events are wonderful...but otherwise, somewhat tired personnel. Too much work for them to set up activities, even the headphones for the computers don t work. Disappointing

They have a great selection of DVD's and the staff is helpful.

We have been going to the West Bloomfield Public Library for decades. As regular Library patrons, one of the most enjoyable parts of our frequent visits has been to see LEONA ASHER working there. Leona has worked at WBLIB for well over twenty years in various capacities. In the past, she has helped us many times in the Circulation Department. Leona deserves to be celebrated for her continued excellent service to the Library. She represents an 'old school' level of a wonderful work ethic, and has a lot of professional knowledge. Also, Leona is one of the kindest individuals you'd ever want to meet. Thank you, WBLIB for hiring great employees like Leona! Her vast experience, loyalty, and dedication to the Library are hard to find anywhere in this world. Please give Leona a big shout out there as she is greatly appreciated, by us, as well as many others over the years!

It was a great visit with my 2 kids. They had a nice youth area with toys, well maintained and clean. The bathrooms were clean, the lunch area had vending machines with low priced items.
We happened to be there during a session about pets and how to behave around them.
