Wendover Nugget Hotel&Casino Reviews

It's Wendover, so don't expect too much. But hey, for $35 a night, it's pretty solid. Good water pressure in the showers, too!

its great wish the hotel rooms little bit more cheaper and also needs better slot machines to play on

The rooms were dirty, the tub would not drain, the air conditioning did not work very well so we were sweating all night. The food made us sick, all 3 of us were puking all night plus the food is outrageously expensive and disgusting. I would not recommend the Wendover nugget.

This is my favorite place to play in Wendover. It has a better selection of machines and not full of Buffalo's like Rainbow and Peppermill. I am a big fan of the movie themed slots.which this place has a few. My complaint is this building is in need of some updates.

If you are in the tower it is a longer walkd to your rooms feom the casino. This is nice because less drunk people will be walking around your room while you are sleeping.

Bad food, casino uses "switch and bait" techniques on it customers with everything from giving you a free buffet then you go to get it and they hand you a menu with maybe 10 selected meals that don't include drink to a free room then you go to get it and they won't accept their own cupon that you just printed off their kiosk not 2 minutes earlier!! But they will happily let you pay for one of their broken down rooms. Tightest slots in wendover

Beautiful hotel. People were pleasant. Didn't like the parking. Room was dated but clean. Overall good experience

The casino has poor lighting, kinda depressing. Also a lot of slot machines are out of order. Never saw a cocktail waitress while I was there. Staff were not rude but mostly seemed irritated with having to deal with people. In my opinion, just not a fun time.

Expensive hotel. Room was not in great shape. They have half price deals on Friday.

Worth the money to stay...but room kind of old, hard to get from parking to room...pool freezing cold and outdated...nice hot tub... difficulty finding room. M218. What is M? As opposed to room C167? People not helpful in finding room as well. With kids, not great, but would be fun without the kids!

Hated it used to really love going to the Nugget Casino but now just not even worth the time or the Money . think all the changes the new owners did was very ignorant on there part going to loose a lot of customers .I'm definitely going to gamble in the other casinos very disappointed in the Nugget and the Garter very sad

It's gotten a lot better now not so many drugs and I'm not afraid to go there now. Room's are cleaner slots are fun.

Slots were ok, very few tables open. Womens restroom only 20% of toilets working, locks missing from other stalls had to use toilet paper to hold door shut. Very unfriendly staff. Wont be back, save ur time and money at the other casinos.

Great casino. Although dont bother with the Starbucks inside last 3 visits my wife and I grabbed a couple drinks every time they were worse. Had to toss my last one it was like hot milk and nothing else. Great casino but no 5 star rating because I didn't win any money. LOL See you next time.

Saturday nights they have a DJ playing music, and you can play blackjack. Lively atmosphere and fun to play here vs. a regular table on the main floor.

The staff was friendly and outgoing. The food however was not good. We ordered nachos, the chips were crumbs and over cooked.

Wished I could give negative stars!!! Checked in after midnight. The guy at the desk offered our reserved room and said he didn't know if it was clean or not but said we could go check. Upon entering room 121 it appeared to be a crime scene. No lie! Furniture thrown all over the room. Plastic shower curtain in the hot tub. Personal belongings on the night stand. NO bedding! Most shocking was the fresh blood on the window curtain and back door!! Clearly something bad happened here. Returned to the desk horrified for someone's safety. The idiot at the desk wasn't surprised and didn't care. There were no other rooms in the city. He offered another room stating the same thing about it being clean. Why the hell do I have to run around the hotel checking the rooms?? Desperate checked that room it appeared to be clean but in extremely poor condition. Demanded a discount. Gambled all night (not at the nugget) but needed rest before driving. Laid on top of the bed for a few hours disgusted by the conditions. I'm still worried about what happened in room 121. I will never spend a dime at the nugget. It should be condemned it's not even fit for animals. Halls were dirty as well piles of towels left in the halls for hours.

I like the atmosphere but the chances of winning are slim.

It's a casino, you go to have fun rather you win or lose. I had fun, all that really matters to me.

We will never go back to the Nugget!!! A group of 10 of us so 5 rooms came to the Nugget for a birthday. First off we checked in our room and went down to dinner when returning to our room our keys wouldn't work and we could hear someone in our room...apparently they had rented our room to someone else. After finally getting our bags we realized that they had gone through our personal items and had actually taken some of our stuff!! Who does that?!! I feel so violated having my stuff gone through and things taken!!
After going back down to the check in nobody had any clue why there was anyone else in our room..we were the only ones listed on the computer. The manager was rude and not good at all to deal with. After a long battle she agreed to give us a new room but they wouldn't even talk about reimbursing for our taken items. None of us will ever stay at this place again!!

It's a casino and smells like smoke. Arcade isn't very good.

Room was nice and clean, however the jacuzzi did not work.

We got to our room, it smelled like somebody had just used the bathroom and the toilet was running.. So I'm assuming somebody had just used our toilet moments before we got there. The Jacuzzi tub was nice and big, but we had to run the jets for a few minutes to get the gunk out.. The bed was comfy but the AC didn't really work in the room so we were very warm all night. It didn't matter much, we didn't go for a luxury hotel experience, just for the gambling. So if you are like us, just down for the gambling and drinks, save your money and get a basic room.

Ask the people where a restaurant is and they just point they don't tell you where to go

The room and hallways around the rooms were in disrepair. They are sure are letting everything go.

$140.00 down the drain! Extremely hot water to the point we could not shower with burning our bodies. Dead cockroaches in our room!! Crazy uncomfortable bed and pillows. No fridge?!?! Tried to call management last night with no luck and at check out time, talked to a manager who only offered a10 percent discount and really didn't seem to care at all. Never again staying here!!

The Nugget has surely gone down hill. Wont be going there again. It is so slow I have no idea how they stay open. However, the customers still wait and wait because there is also very limited number of workers. The entire hotel is run down. Poorest amenities in town. You would not want to see the pictures.

Honestly, every time my husband and I come to Wendover, we stay here. And every time there is a problem in regards to the room. And every time we bring it up to the front desk, no one does anything. But the casino is great. Low key not crazy busy. We love it. But it's getting hard to be loyal.

My favorite place to stay in Wendover! Don't forget to visit the Museum at the airfield while you're there

Food at the buffet was good, we got there about an hour before close, and the service was spot on, blackjack tables where good to gamble, drink service was a hit or miss, cocktail waitresses took very long to bring us drinks, and the drinks felt waterdown.

Great place to de-stress and go broke while having fun.

On the plus, the casino area is rarely packed. The rewards program is sub-par in comparison to the program across the street.

We stopped in and ate at the restaurant not the buffet one and the food was bad. I got the chili verde burrito and it was awful. It tasted like they had just put gravy over a tortilla. I was very disappointed. For the price it was a rip off.

When we checked in the lady at front desk didnt have a clue what she was doing, and was rude. We stayed in room m127. The headboard to one of the beds has a hole in it from what looks like somebody punched it. The paint is coming of the walls. The TV didnt work. Hole in the chair from cigarettes, the carpet is stained everywhere. The tiles on the ceiling were not in all the way. The toilet running and you have to hold the handle down for the toilet paper to go down. There was hair on the shower wall. And on the hand towels. Not to clean. Night desk person didnt even care to fix the issue. But wanted to send the mantanince man to fix the TV at two in the morning.
Will not be staying there again.

Only confusing thing is that there are two banks of rooms. Pay attention to the t or m in your room number and you won't go wrong. Room was clean and shower in our tower suite was roomy.

There are machines closed on every carousel. Your chances of winning are reduced (my thought). Very open, not crowded like Rainbow or Pepper Mill. One thing that is great you don't have those annoying plexiglass barriers in between machines. You have to wear your mask for the time you are in the casino; unless you are drinking or smoking. Not great rules...but how bad do you want to gamble. I don't play tables...I didn't see the craps table open. All in all wear your mask, no hassles...open areas. machines are tight

My room door was broken. Front desk was hard to get ahold of. While playing slots, I rarely saw a waitress.

This was an enjoyable experience that we got to share. The staff was very friendly and the rings were nice for the price.

Worst hotel I ve ever had the aggravation of staying in. No cable tv, the plugs in the room are a fire hazard. So worn out you can t even plug a phone charger into any outlet except the bathroom gfi. And it tripped so my phone died overnight. And then to top it off there was no hot water. Way over priced. This is a $20 a night hotel tops!

It's a nice environment for gambling and best bartenders in town!

Not a fan of casinos even when they are high class...this place is low class all the way. Not my thing.

Nice place to go when you want out of the city for a day.

The nugget is a great place to stop in wendover. I've won a few times there, but it takes more than 20 minutes to get an undersized complimentary beverage

We woke up in the morning with sewage spilling out of the shower into the room and hall.

It was dirty went into the restroom and couldn't wait to leave nasty

Its okay. Table Games are fun here thats about it. Not a lot of fun perks or anything.
