Just got a call from them stating I owed them 312$...

Just got a call from them stating I owed them 312$ for not paying for the month of March. The club completely shut down on March 16th due to COVID-19 and no one has been in contact with me about my bill the month of March 2020. Apparently I ve been accruing late charges over the entirety of COVID when I literally couldn t even go into the club to cancel my membership. I was given an ultimatum over the phone from Ginger in the accounting department. I could either pay 99$ today or she would send a $300+ Bill to collections. I asked if I could call back later in the day and she gave me her number and now when I call the phone goes straight to voicemail. I feel like I ve been extorted. How is this good business practice?

This club used to be one of the nicest clubs around. Now it appears mgnt is at a loss on how to manage. The inverness club is a mess, they must hire part time cleaning staff because the place is falling apart. I tend to see staff sitting around chatting while the locker rooms are a mess, there's no working drinking fountains in the place, they have water machines however there are no cups.........I just shake my head every time I go in there...and this is NOT a cheap club to be a member of......Membership is down for a reason..

This place manages the Colorado Athletic Club locations and this review is in response to dealing with them about a falsified debt that they sent to collections.

CAC locations and the employees are fine. What is horrible is dealing with Wellbridge management and finance team, who lack any sense of customer service and respect towards the community.

I canceled my membership with them in person in September and also reminded them by phone/email when they asked for payments months later. It seems they lost my cancellation request and, although I never used the club after the day I cancelled, they then kept charging me, month after month.

When I reminded them that I had cancelled and would not pay more than the last month, Ginger, Fred and the Wellbridge team stubbornly refused to accept their company's mistake and offer a sensible resolution. They then sent the trumped up bill to collections, which I'm fighting and will easily win.

The fact that they treat legitimate customers like this is appalling. It is horrendous customer service and shows complete lack of respect for clients. It's a waste of my time, but I'm willing to do it to ensure this doesn't happen to future potential clients (who will now hopefully go to a different gym). Read through all the other reviews on the CAC reviews detailing a similar story. It's pretty effed up.

Wellbridge continues to demonstrate that they are ...

Wellbridge continues to demonstrate that they are only concerned about getting money. Issue started months ago. Cancelled membership and Wellbridge refused to refund prepaid training dollars. Now, multiple months later, Wellbridge did an additional ACH to remove even more $ 6 months after cancellation. They make if very, very difficult to resolve issues and ultimately work to keep your money and make you run in circles to resolve..... DO NOT JOIN A WELLBRIDGE CLUB!!!

Note: Wellbridge response below is not accurate. They did not fully reimburse for the prepaid training and the $162 refund (which I don t have yet) is the result of them charging my account, one off, 6 months after cancelation. I ve included the manager in all communications with no response from him in any. He is well aware of the concerns, frustrations, and inappropriate actions of the club.

Update: Believe it or not, they actually charged my account yet again. Wellbridge has not removed my private information and continues to practice unauthorized charging. DO NOT JOIN. They will likely take your money like they ve continued to take mine.

TERRIBLE! I have been trying to get a refund for club dues since the beginning of July. Due to COVID they have been closed since March and still continually charged my account. They send the same email over and over stating a check has been sent - I HAVE YET TO GET IT! I have asked for the check to be re-issued since I haven't received it and it was "processed and sent" over a month ago. I have canceled my membership and just wish to get my refund for the overpriced gym. Also, don't try to call - NO ONE ANSWERS OR RETURNS CALLS. Please send my club dues back to me. I refuse to ever go to your gym again.

Horrible customer service. I cancelled my membership back in March and am still being charged. I have tried contacting corporate numerous times to no avail. I've now been wrongly charged over $400 and have not heard anything back other than an automated response. Very disappointing...

Re HIAC - the club has friendly and customer oriented staff and amenities are pretty good. However , the playground is awful - it s unsafe and an eyesore ... and as a parent I can t even let my kids play on it. Did you see how bad it is? Check the photos ... do something to refurbish or replace.

I've been a member of the Clayton, Missouri Wellbridge facility for many years. I'm consistently happy with the ambiance of the club, the degree to which everything is kept in good order and lovely.

The club is well equipped with top notch equipment to get my body into healthy condition and the trainers are reliably expert, offering their service to keep me safe and effective in my workout routines. The spa is exquisite--fabulous staff and an environment that has me believing I am in a remote locale, far from the stress of daily living. Management has long been making me feel listened to, valued, and treasured as a paying member--my loyalty and satisfaction are intact!

Wellbridge is a rare find--a place where everybody knows your name and greets you with enthusiasm, keeping you feel motivated to return again and again to get healthy and retain a state of wellness! Thank you, Wellbridge, for all you do!
