Been coming here for many years. The owner has become a great friend of mine. Always greets you and makes you feel very welcome! Awesome atmosphere. The beer garden in the summer is spectacular! Music, bean bags and fire pits included!

So I m pretty disappointed with this place. At first I liked going here cause the bartenders are nice but the owner really irritated me. We tried to bring our dog into the bar since the owner had his dog in there and we were told NO. We asked if we could instead go to the outside patio with our dog and again he said NO. The owner at this place is a true D-bag. Won t step foot in this place again unless they allow the dog at least on the patio. I mean come on. If Earls, a classy restaurant/bar allows dogs then why can t dumpy weeds allow them. Earls continues to get my business since they know how to take care of the customer. Keep up the great job weeds!!

Open Mic Poetry Reading Mondays at 10:00PM - Sign up at 9:30PM

I have to be upfront and let you know right off the bat, this was not only my very first visit to Weeds, but also my very first Open Mic night in Chicago. With that established you are aware that I have no frame of reference of what makes a good Open Mic night or what a good service or even a good crowd is for this place. What i can say is that everyone from the Bartender to the MC, to all the clientele were all warm, welcoming and friendly. I probably would have hung out longer and schmoozed had a killer migraine not been kicking the back of my eyeballs out of their sockets. I will definitely try to get back there this coming Monday to participate in the fun again and give a glass of their red wine a try.

The poetry Open Mic was an interesting cacophony of talent, expression, cleverness, and performance swirled up in a din of bawdy introductions, spiced with profanity, blended with fresh innovation, garnished with just enough mediocre poets to make the good ones stand out, and all served steaming to your ears at a volume level only people in southern Uruguay could not hear. It would have been delightful (and from what I could see everyone who wasn't having a cranial vascular event was thoroughly having a great time) but my headache just was not going to take it.

The patrons were all from what I could see, sincere fans and very supportive, attentive and responsive to everyone who read and that makes this place a new regular hang-out for this poet and receives my official (4) out of (4) Raven feather rating. Its obviously adult-themed so not probably a place to bring dear Auntie Clarisse who gasps when someone says "Shucks" but definitely a warm and fun place to go if you are looking for something a little different and dont mind the fuc*king profanity.

Cool spot in the cut. Very low key with a nice neighborhood feel.
Really cool art and games outside to play! Nice choices of beverages as well. We were having too much to fun to take photos. Dig the vibe and patriotism. Peace Love and no war!

Friendly neighborhood bar. Went with a date, played Jenga on the patio while we drank. Definitely going on the weekends as one of the tamales guys makes a stop twice here Friday and Saturdays. Nice selection of beers on tap and a whiskey selection that has variety.

A cute hole in the wall bar. I'm talking about Jenga in the backyard, jukebox, and one pool table. Best thing about this bar, you can order food to be delivered. If you don't have a backyard hang out spot with friends..check this place out!

Nice, low-key spot with TouchTunes, a large patio, and decent prices. If the bartender, Alex, is there, order a vodka gimlet. If you don't know what it is, DO IT ANYWAY. It's the best in town!

Weeds has a great beer garden. I absolutely love the fact that you can bring your dog!! That alone gives any place 5 stars in my book. If you call ahead and bring a large group they will grill out for you too (at least Fridays they did). Where else will you find that?

I like this bar a lot. Very cool spot, low key and friendly bar tenders and patrons. Has a good selection of beer- not a lot but quality choices. Also has a brilliant outdoor patio garden that is choice for nice days and evenings. Good place to watch sports and have a beer. And the pool table is $1 a game.

Friendly bartenders, good local beers on tap. 1 pool table, good music, great atmosphere. Everyone I bring here loves this place to talk over drinks. Almost always a seat available somewhere so you never have to fight for one, but never empty.

Warning. They serve no food, so come fed.

The decor is marvelous, the food is excellent, the entertainment is sublime. The ambience is the key here. There's nothing like it. It's sexy and anything can happen and has happened.
Sergio is the owner and chef.

This place should not be missed by out of towners.
