Webgrity Review

In our experience, the old saying "buy cheap, buy twice" applies to Webgrity.

The company undercut our offer in the project tender by 50% and secured the order. It quickly became clear that the expertise in "development of media streaming services" proclaimed by Webgrity was practically non-existent. The implementation of our design was poor, some errors were not fixed even after months of feedback. When we became impatient and demanded the contractually guaranteed services, we were repeatedly accused of a lack of respect in communication. Above all, the CTO Mr. Agarwal likes to set himself up as a moralizer - but without delivering completely.

Our service is now live and there are bugs that Webgrity guaranteed would be fixed before the project was completed. However, the company no longer wants to hear about this.

I would only recommend you to work with Webgrity under these conditions: You have very simple frontend or moderate backend work to do. Write down exactly what you need in the contract. The company usually takes the quickest, easiest route - even if that may not always be customary for your project. "Additional efforts" are quickly mentioned, for which Webgrity then asks you to pay.

We made the mistake of paying the last project installment before (!) the code was completed and delivered. Be sure to negotiate with Webgrity that you only pay when everything is working under live conditions. Other companies may have earned the trust - unfortunately, in our experience, Webgrity does not. In the end, Upwork support even had to step in here, which by the way did an excellent job and tried everything in their power to remind Webgrity of its contractual obligations - unfortunately without success.

Webgrity will respond to this review and portray us as a terrible customer. Please don't let this fool you.

If you want to realize an ambitious, modern project - look for another service provider. We could have saved ourselves many sleepless nights and a lot of trouble if we hadn't let ourselves be tempted by the dumping price.

I have worked in webgrity for more than 3 years. The office timings are very punctual but I stretch beyond working hours sometimes which is problem for a girl. I have learnt a lot working here. We have office events like picnic, table tennis etc. Salary is paid on time.

Great growth opportunities, amazing work culture, No extra work after 7 PM, Salary on time , Good office management, you have opportunities to learn and grow, Good behavior of team managers except one. You will get few trip, for health benefit or enjoyment there have table tennis playing option. And also as per GOV rule ESIC and PF.

Cons

i) Salary scale is quite low .
ii) 2 Calendar holiday does not given, which is also not coordinated by any other ceremony.

I have been working in Webgrity since 2014. From the day one i have seen a great work culture here, where senior and junior can work together
in a peaceful environment. We get paid on time in each month and no overtime after 7PM, these two are the most exciting thing in Webgrity.

I strongly recommended Webgrity specially for juniors to build up their future. I wish to Webgrity go ahead in the upcoming days.

I am reviewing this company after 2.6 years of working here as a Web Developer. I joined this company as a fresher. They said that they will train me and offer me a salary close to 5000 for that training period. This is enough for me because when I joined I was null and I've to learn. I can't expect more when I know nothing. The amount clearly can manage all my expenses during that training period. So basically I get paid for learning. Once I completed my training they will give me under project manager, to work on a live project. And I must mention, in that training period they give much more time to understand things.

And it's worth for me. I work with most talented Project Managers and experienced colleagues, learn a lot of different things, work more than hundreds of projects. I must recommend Webgrity if you are a fresher. And I'm happy to be a part of this company .

1 things I want to highlight, I'm seeing in review sections that some personally attack managers. This is what we don't do. They are managers because they know much more than our knowledge. If you think they are wrong or not capable then go to that level first. Then show them that you can do better than them. Otherwise, you don't have qualities to questioning them.

7. No Bullying.
8. No Politics among staffs.
9. Well configured Computers with quick system supports.

Cons:
1. The washroom could be better. (For Men)
2. And also, Salary Scale is quite low.
3. That I'm adding, Not for everyone but for me, I don't know why I'm getting difficulties to get approved leaves. Heres a flow chart, Others leave vs my leave (My Views).

"
This is not every time I also get approved leaves.

A good environment to work in. We get paid on time and the office gives over at a fixed time balancing both work and personal life. Have been rendering my services since 8 years and am content to be here.

Webgrity is a decent IT company.I have been working here since 2007
and had a good experience working here.This company has really good infrastructure and provides good quality work , no over time pressure , webgrity also arranges holidays in abroad for its employees including their families.

I have seen quite a bit of bad reviews about the company but let's be honest. Webgrity as a company is really great and innovative.

PROS :-

1) 80 minutes worth of break on a full working day.. That is path breaking given i have worked with several reputed companies like Wipro etc.

2) Salary is hardly ever late.

3) There is no overtime work culture prevalent. Nobody keeps you back like certain other companies I have worked with, you finish your working hours you go home as simple as that.

4) Friendly ambience and great work environment.

5) Leave policy is transparent and easy to avail unlike a lot of other places where taking your due leaves also becomes a pain.

CONS:-

1) The washroom needs to be a little more maintained and we need additional one.

2) The salary could be a little higher though honestly.

One of the best IT company in Kolkata to work in. They take best employees on board. They have large client base throughout the globe. Salary is on time. Management is very organised and keen attention is given to keep work standards high and motivate employees with various activities like games tournament, weekend outings, tour abroad.

I am working in this company since 2015. When I joined here that time we just involved in our work, without work we did not do anything, we could not celebrate birthday in our office. But at this time we celebrate Holi, Diwali. Now our office arrange a foreign trip, recreation and table tennis tournament in every year. Our office has some good things like no issue in salary, fixed working hours, no extra times, office environment is good, our team members are very co-operative, they are very professional, they cannot do any politics. We realise some problems like salary scale is low, some holidays are not included in holiday list. I gather many experience from here, it's really good for me.
