I can attest to the fact that WCI Realty, and Julia Hickey in particular, are there for you every step of the way in your home-buying journey. It took us 4 years (yes years!) to finally settle on what we wanted in a house and, in this market, you can t always get it. But Julia took us to multiple houses and was listening closely every time. She knew what we wanted and what we didn t want, adjusted our search criteria regularly, and helped us envision ourselves in every possible home. When we put in offers she was SUPER on top of it, getting paperwork done and submitted to us for signing within a few hours of telling her our offer price, no matter what day of the week or time of day. And when we finally found our house, she helped us celebrate with the most thoughtful closing gift. She also has excellent references for inspections, brokers, painters and more that we used and had great experiences with. Recently we attempted to purchase a home and the sellers agent works for WCI Realty. We made an offer that was accepted and moved on to hire a home inspector that made note of several items (not major) that needed to be addressed. We put out several contingencies and waited. We asked our agent what was happening and he got an update from the sellers agent that the sellers were having a discussion but that they would get back to us soon. Some more time passed and then we received news that the seller was "going in another direction". The contract was cancelled and literally the next day I drove by the home and it was already sold. Essentially, we hired a home inspector and wanted to move forward but through no fault of our own got nothing in return for the hundreds we started to invest.

As first time home buyers we may have been naive to the fact that our contract only gave for a certain amount of time to negotiate contingencies or the seller can back out of the deal without any consequences. Shame on us for not thoroughly reviewing/understanding every part of the contract. However, its a shame that at no time before or after the sale were we made aware of the sellers intentions to back out and take another offer. We would have been willing to drop contingencies and work with the seller. Perhaps this scenario plays out frequently and I feel for any home buyers that were taken advantage of because of a loophole in a contract.

We don't have any options at this point so we'll learn from this and keep searching for a home. Our family was hurt by this situation so I wanted you to see who was hurt.

Julia has been a tremendous help during our home buying journey. She put us at ease through the whole process. Julia always acted in a friendly and professional manner. She was always willing to answer any questions or address any concerns. Her clients are her priority. I would highly recommend Julia and her team.

Absolutely the best experience possible with a realtor! I honestly cannot say enough good things about Julia and her team. We had some issues with our deal over the Fourth of July and Julia was working on things for us at a party (something that we did not ask not would ever expect someone to do)! She always went above and beyond with everything, I could go on and on about how great the experience was, but just know that you will never find a better realtor. We don t ever plan to move again but there is no way I would ever use anyone but Julia!

This would be from houses his list would provide us with and then other ones I would just go online and find as they were out of our initial scope. If we would go into a house and it did not meet something he would say I think this house isn't right for your family. Thank you to WCI Realty, more importantly, Mike Lee for assisting us in purchasing our first home. He truly made our first experience EASY & ENJOYABLE. You hear these horror stories about transparency and communication but Mike proved them all wrong! My experience with WCI realty has all been with Richard Borrelli a real estate broker that works for them. While trying to purchase a home that Richard was assigned to as the listing agent we ran into a myriad of frustrations. There were many unanswered calls, text messages and emails. It even took emailing the general inquiries on their website to finally get someone to get a hold of Richard. The day of the final walk through Richard showed up over 30 min late (after our realtor had finally tracked him down) to unlock the house because he had forgotten that we had an appointment that day. I expressed my concerns to Richard about these issues and asked what he would do to ensure others didn t have the same poor experience; his response was I don t appreciate the criticism . You decide if you would like to work with this Realty group as for me I will be sure not to ever again.
