Venetian Golf & River Club

This place needs to get it together 2nd rated Club house. . Golf course nice. But the clubhouse. Servers have know clue. The chef if u want to call him that is second rated also. Food is ok. Everyone jumped ship and went to the River Club and good for them

I was there for vacation this passed week and went on a bike ride around the neighborhood & a company called Charlotte County Resurfacing were so rude, I was riding by when they were sandblasting the mailboxes when an older gentleman working the machine was extremely rude after I was all soaked & hit with sand and water. Very unacceptable. The community hired a bunch of unpleasant people for the job.

Not the typical Florida layout--really interesting. Well manicured, almost pristine fairways and greens. Tremendous value with Suncoast Golf Trail card in summer. Enjoyed a fast fun round with a knowledgeable and engaging member to guide me my first time around. Helpful but unobtrusive staff. Will definitely play again if I am back in low season.

Great and friendly Staff starting with Billy at Bag drop, very accommodating Pro shop and Bucky the starter was on point. Great practice facilities to prepare for your game. Course layout was very good and made you look at all options, huge greens, with many undulations required good shots to get near the pin, even 5 sets if tees. Downside, course was in very poor shape and a 2 star is generous. We were led to believe a recent fertilizing was done but conditions were the opposite.Several fairways were very thin and like hitting a brick at impact. Greens were simply horrible aside from thin grass many were green because of chemical and other applications that were applied. Forget about getting spin on the greens, water application was def lacking here. Sadly the course was an extreme expensive let down. Lastly not even 1 Ranger on the course to keep groups moving. We were behind a group and settled for an a round over 4 1/2 hours.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The golf course is very challenging, the greens are in very good condition. Expect rolling contours throughout to add to the challenge. A few unexpected forays into the water. Bring your A game and at least 1/2 golf balls.

Great job by all the staff putting on a great event.

Very pretty, and relaxed atmosphere. Nice beaches, pickle ball, dancing on the beach. With all kinds of drums, nice shops, restaurants line dancing. Tennis courts.

Awesome golf course. Hidden gem in Venice , Fl. Only issue is it's private. Can only play in summer and with discount card.

Great place to Work Patrol Service is impeccable with great Care for the community as well.

Course in good shape, greens fast and hold well, good pace of play

Worst gated community experience! The amount of rules makes it feel like a jail. Some people that live here are beyond tolerable. Wouldn't live here just because the neighborhood has them there. That's how bad it was my 1st time visiting.

This course is a great challenge. Wide fairways but tricky greens. I like it!

I am Blessed to be living here It has so amenities... Tennis, Golf, Nature Boardwalk, 2 Swimming pools. Fabulous Dining, etc.

Clean and comfortable grate place to go to just relax!

My parents have lived there for 5 years. Awesome pool area, great gym. Just need a basketball court!!!! Not everyone likes tennis and golf.

The Venetian is an excellent golf course. The greens are very challenging and require you to play strategically in order to score well. The course is very well maintained. The practice facility includes a short game area, range and large putting green. We were treated as members by the staff. Great experience

I cannot say enough about how amazing this venue is and the staff especially! We just had our wedding here and it was the most beautiful venue. The staff and Tom are absolutely incredible. If not for them, I don't know what I would have done. They took the best care of us and our families from the very first day we walked in, to the actual wedding day and even the next day after! Beautiful, elegant, caring, efficient, and the food is delicious! Thank you a thousand times!

Great private club with limited tee times in season for us outsiders. Barbara in the pro shop takes good care of us, and Bucky the starter runs a tight ship.

Love this golf course. It's hard to make the flatter land here in Florida look more attractive, but this course has the aesthetic that makes playing it more like an enjoyable story that unfolds before you than just a bunch of fairways and greens. The bunkers are strategically placed. It takes the right shot to get on the green, and in many cases it's all carry. They do have run-up areas too, so you don't have to be a pro, just play smart. There are several doglegs around lakes, so you won't be bored. The great thing is, when you get on the greens, they are green, well cared for and in excellent shape. The personnel were all helpful, personable, well organized. All in all, I give this course a 5 star rating for class, aesthetics, friendliness, challenge and playability. Enjoy!

I thought. after discussing my issue, the GM was rather snobby and rude. We won't be back. To think we almost bought there! The golf course is nothing special either.

Venetian Golf & River Club, rated 4-1/2 stars, is home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Florida. This links-style and parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.

We were in from out of town so we were not familiar with the club. The course was in great shape, and the layout was challenging. Will definitely return.

Well I went there for a celebration of life event and can tell you with all honesty that it was above and beyond professional. Great and friendly service, wonderful food, and one heck of a venue. Will keep in mind for future venue.

Superb location and great club area. My only reason for not going five stars is the location. It's a bit slow to get to because of traffic and neighborhood and roads leading in are in disrepair. Once inside the gates - paradise. I have heard citism about the visible power lines seen from the neighborhood and course, but we never noticed them.......
