A first injury claim in 14 years as a nurse almost made me loose my home, because their doctor contested the symptoms I was having, and what my chiropractor and two doctors were reporting as my injury.... because i mentioned another un related symptom. so they waited on proof of a ct scan that takes weeks only to be inconclusive...to wait on an MRI...that takes months.... my claim was denied and prolonged....their doctor can dispute your claim no matter what. WCB will not help you don't make a claim unless you have several months saved up to cover mortgage and groceries ect. if you are hurt and they dispute it, because you said the wrong thing Ie. headache with a broken leg... their doctor says a headache isn't related to a broken leg.... don't say headache or your claim will be disputed and you will not have an income. Also, you will have to likely pre-pay any health benefit insurance from that day on, because you are now a risk.... Banks wont like to hear you may have a disability claim on your mortgage, credit cards flag you as a risk and everything changes... think about it before you claim... you can loose it all!!!
