Really cool spot. My cioppino was so yummy; I could of had a bowl of the sauce alone! And the scallops in it! The staff was so nice. Also in a great location; just across the way from City Lights Bookstore. It was a perfect spot for a rainy Sunday afternoon. I'd go again, the next time I'm CA.

Not a good meal. Clam Chowder tasted weak and needed more bulk in it. Fresh Caught New Zealamd Pink Breem
was smothered with salt
Ruined the delicate flavor.
The manager did her best to.make up with a better cooked dish but we were going to a show and there was only 10 mins. to eat it
Disappointing!

Lovely place on Pier 39. All of the food was delicious (Lobster clam chowder and crab cakes were my absolute favorite!) and the cocktails were well-crafted and yummy. However, it's a little pricey ($29 for the lobster roll!). It's a good place to eat for tourists and also has really great views, but if you want great food for cheaper prices, go somewhere else.

Loved it! Did reservation through the Yelp on the way to the restaurant and were seated right after we walked in. Great service, selection, amount of food per order and flavor. Most remarkable ambiance and interiors, pleasure to just be here.

It's been years since I've been and we've been back a couple times in the past month. It's still nice and clean inside. Lots of options but who cares when you can't cook the food right? We ordered Mexican wild shrimp, it was lacking taste, you guys need to improve the taste and flavor...

I would give this place no stars but I have no choice.. service was awful..I sat and waited quite a while before I even got water but they did bring me bread ..I waited for waitress to finally come over..asked questions .. ordered wine..went to the bathroom ..it was disgusting ..no toilet paper.. waited for my wine about 10 minutes more after I return to the table..At this point.. I saw her searching for the bottle and I turned to her andI told her not to bring it that I was leaving ..I actually left them a tip for eating a piece of bread which I now regret. Did I mention that once I got the water it took several minutes to refill my glass? This is supposed to be an exclusive expensive fish restaurant.. beware.. BTW they were empty tables all around so I don t understand what the problem was with the service..

Wonderful selection of east and west coast oysters. Knowledgeable service about all the selections. Well priced wine list with a great Sancerre perfect for those oysters! The black miso cod was really good- Nobu level good.

We had the pleasure of having Rowan as our waitress. She is knowledgeable, attentive and a GREAT personality. When we return to the Water Grill, we will ask for her. Btw, the food was excellent.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Not fancy but that's good. Previous reviews had raved about the falafels so that's what I got. Quite good! Very friendly staff. Can't wait to bring my wife here as she loves falafels!

If you re in the mood for raw seafood this place has one of the best raw bars in Los Angeles! Located in downtown LA, this restaurant gives you a warm feeling of home! I visited during lunch and it s definitely a popular place. Water Grill had the best selection of oysters I had seen in a while and I took advantage of ordering a la carte from the beautifully designed raw bar! Their pacific oysters were so good I dream about them sometimes, and I love the little sauces that come with! Now let s get to one of the best dishes on the menu which was the Miso Sea Bass!!! The Thai chili, the spicy noodles, the miso broth .... simply amazing! Dont forget to order the clam chowder! Overall this place made me feel good inside and out! -foodiechick

Very contemporary and modern. There's a pretty extensive menu and pretty diverse clientele. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation.

We ordered some beers ($5 each) and the lanzhou ramen ($13). The ramen was good but definitely the Chinese style.

We are regular customers here for the fantastic service, the excellent bar menu and the atmosphere. But we also made a point to come to our anniversary dinner.
The staff made us feel so special. We arrived early for our reservation.

We had a great meal. Our seating was delayed, but the staff kept us informed and even had food ready when sat down. The food was very good. All of the appetizers and main courses were well received. We had exceptional service throughout the night.

Excellent fresh seafood in a relaxing atmosphere! The clam chowder is highly recommended. The steaks are to die for, cooked to perfection. The staff is wonderful and friendly. Try the martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives. Dont forget the complimentary rolls with asiago cheese.

Family friendly. This was an unexpected and delicious find. It's family owned and the service is excellent. They knew how to keep some of the plates simple for the kids and had more intricate plates for the adults to try. It had a very homey atmosphere and food tasted home made.

This is the restaurant to go for high finance meetings. It is however somewhat loud. I would not recommend if you are conducting business and need a more quiet atmosphere. The food however is very good for what they serve.

This place was amazing! Came here for Mother's Day! The oysters are incredible and the service was awesome. Not really a place for kids or babies. We had our four month old daughter and it was very tight in the seating of the booths. Other than that, food was great and service was awesome!

Excellent food, great Ambience and an awesome host. We had great time. I suppose they can improve upon their vegetarian or vegan selection, but it was amazing for what it is. Also the name board is kind of easy to miss.

Thank you Kebab Daddy. I was in the neighborhood early Sunday morning to see if they were open. Like I said it was really early. He took my order and made it for me. Appreciate you, Jano, for going above and beyond to help me out that morning. I highly recommend this place. Btw the burrito was delicious. Big thumbs up!

In the mood for a mouth-watering meal? You've come to the right place with Versailles!

AMBIANCE (4/5)
Homey, large with lots of tables, no-frills, casual. Good for groups.

FOOD (5/5)
The #1 Lechon Asada, or Cuban roasted pork with rice and beans and plantains, has been my go-to for many years. Tender pieces of fall-off-the-bone roast pork with aromatic onions, crispy-edged soft plantains, and the garlic mojo criollo sauce make for a hearty and happy experience! The fried pork and famous roast chicken are also great.

To begin, the atmosphere is elegant and beautiful....

To begin, the atmosphere is elegant and beautiful. It is definitely more of a place for adults than families with young kids, but they do have something for everyone. All of the food we had was of very high quality, and it all tasted delicious. However, service was a bit slow and nothing was mind-blowing. In a city of such diverse food and dining opportunities, this restaurant would not be the first to mind when recommending incredible seafood. (hint: try Son of a Gun on W 3rd Street). Watergrill can be found and enjoyed in a lot of places; it is not a unique hidden gem. If you are looking for a beautiful meal in downtown LA, this is a good choice. If you are looking for a revolutionary meal in Los Angeles, I would maybe try elsewhere. Watergrill is always solid and delivers consistently good meals.

This was unfortunately the only negative experience while out in LA. The food wasn't made with the best effort even though it was high quality fresh seafood. Also the General Manager had to be the worst restaurant GM I've met. Little concern for the paying customer and the product they produce......the experience. He needs to find another career. The Assistant Manager and or waiter did what they could to recover but it wasn't worth it. Don't bother stopping unless things change.#NewGeneralManagerNeeded

Their buffet is AMAZING and vegan friendly. The only thing I am not too happy about is I have been going there for two years and they have been slowly raising the price of the buffet which I am NOT a fan of. A group of us used to go once a week now we go once a month.

Had been looking forward to Dave's since I'd heard so much about it - hell, when I arrived on a Sunday at 11:15am, there was already a line! It moved quickly and it wasn't too long till I had a hot Combo #2 in my paws.

We hadn't been to Gramercy Tavern in over 20 years, but it lived up to our fond memories of it. It's a warm, handsome environment with great service and exquisite cuisine. We loved the no tipping policy, too. The wines could be a little less expensive, though.

This is real OG style. Grease and goodness go hand in hand at this respectable joint. It has been around since the 70s and it is doing it all right. Tasty chili and dogs and great customer service.

Service is whatever. Not the nicest but it's ok. Ordered the uni udon w mini Ikura rice bowl and assorted tempura for my daughter and I. Everything was really good. Lucky for us, the wait was pretty short. Less than 10 min. They called us sooner but we were next door getting boba. Ps- you're not allowed to bring outside drinks so the waitress purposely put our drinks on the bar shelf and told us we can't drink it. Lol wow

You really have to try a little bit of everything ...

You really have to try a little bit of everything here to truly appreciate the quality of the food. Perhaps trying the "fruits of the sea platter" would be a good way to start. The tuna also excellent but my favorite would probably have to be the Alaskan Halibut. This place is a fish lovers paradise. Like most fine restaurants the portions at Water Grill are extremely small. You have to have a five course meal to fill your stomach and enjoy your dining experience. The five course meals can get extremely pricey, but you do get what you pay for. The arraignment of the food on the plate seems carefully crafted. I was tempted to lick my plate clean, but it probably would not have been appropriate at a fancy place like this. The desert was excellent and carefully crafted as well.

If money is no concern, you should not be disappointed here.
