South of market this is the best hallal place that I have found. The food comes out relatively fast and the service is rush you in, feed you, and get you out. Definitely a little hidden treasure for those who don't know about it.

All the food was fresh and tasted wonderful. I couldn't ask for more! It was a nice experience for me for the first time. Highly recommended for both meetings and friends as well for having an excellent atmosphere. Try their services and you won t regret it for sure. Thumbs up! Tremendous!
Very nice and classy seafood restaurant. Their oysters are super fresh and they have a huge variety. If you're not a seafood lover they still have steak options as well. The crudo sampler was delicious and very creative. It is a bit pricey so be prepared to drop some money. They are also very accommodating to allergies. I have a severe dairy allergy and they were very nice and clean.
One of my favorite restaurants. Excellent seafood selection, with some solid meat selections as well. Drinks selections are innovative and delicious. No corkage fee.
seafood and the atmosphere here is better than most. service is always awesome even when they have a full house. the bill won't break you. menu is similar to a restaurant in jacksonville i loved.
Good food, lousy service. Had to chase down the waitress. From the get go, Nikki acted like she wanted to be elsewhere. Not present. I worked to engage her which worked for a while but she ultimately disappeared on us. Just wandered off not to be seen again. Finally after of 20 minutes waiting for the check I flagged down a guy (who had been sitting at the end of the bar for well over an hour, ignoring his patrons) who turned out to be the manager. It became immediately apparent that Lawrence, doesn't get the concept of hospitality either which is probably why his waitress (a word i use loosely in describing her, because Nikki clearly doesn't like to wait) would never work for me either. They drip with attitude. My general impression is that The Water Grill suffers from too much success. Someone needs to remind staff that "how you get it is how you keep it." With all of the new and great restaurants in downtown Los Angeles, I won't be going back to the Water Grille any time soon.
We are regular customers here for the fantastic service, the excellent bar menu and the atmosphere. But we also made a point to come to our anniversary dinner. The staff made us feel so special. We arrived early for our reservation.
