The company needs to remember who got them where they are and treat the employees as humans, not filler for their vacant call center seats.
The company needs to remember who got them where they are and treat the employees as humans, not filler for their vacant call center seats.
Voted worst company to work for by EVERYONE WHO'S EVER WORKED THERE! Just ask them! And their clients should be very careful, too. They got real "pros" there...one guy sitting next to me was on probation for embezzlement & he was taking credit card numbers for crying out loud!
very poor service. I am extremely disappointed. Please don't buy this warranty service.
I have several appliances for business and constantly call this company to get them repaired. Usually I wait 30 mins to talk to someone and then they can never find my contract. There computer system is horrible and it takes about 3 months to get refunds or replacement checks for items they will not fix.
This is the absolute worst company ever! Never had such a bad experience.
AVOID BUYING A SERVICE PLAN - EXTENDED WARRANTY. They will find a way to "void" your plan and make it sound like it was your fault. If you do, expect long waiting time on your calls, dealing with rude contracted vendors and denied claims. You have been warned.....
This company has had me on hold for an hour!!!!! What company puts someone on hold for an hour!!!?? I have had to call them for multiple fixes and its so inconvenient. I wish they actually cared about their professionalism.
Awful company. I have been trying to get someone to handle my warranty claim for almost 5 days and I keep getting told "someone will call you by the end of today". Not ONE SINGLE TIME have I received a call back from anyone from Warrantech or from the people who are supposed to be fixing my dryer. I did NOT buy a warranty to be treated this way. Considering without people buying their products they wouldn't have a job, you'd think they'd actually DO their jobs.
DON'T BUY DON'T BUY DON'T BUY DON'T BUY!!! WORST WARRANTY COMPANY EVER!!!!!! I bought an extended warranty through this company through hhgregg when I bought my TV. I had a problem with the TV just under 3 yrs later, I bought the 5 yr warranty plan. As I'm writing this, I've been dealing with this company for almost 4 months still with no resolution to my issue. This has got to be the WORST Warranty company I've ever had to deal with. EVERYTHING they tell me has been either wrong or just a run around. I will NEVER buy anything associated with this company again. It's amazing how they even get away with the poor service and manage to stay in business. I've called them for 5 straight business days now, was told EVERYTIME that they are waiting on their 'Tech Team' to review the notes on my account and they have a 24-48 hr turnaround time. As mentioned, I started calling 5 days ago!!!
We have been without refrigerator for 2 months. I called Warrantech and they sent someone out 2 weeks later who looked at our fridge. They said that Warrantech would call but after a week of waiting I called and they said they need to send someone else out for second review. Two weeks later the company they sent said they are equipped and experienced to fix any refrigerator, they gave their opinion and diagnosis and said call warranty company the next day. The next day I called Warrantech and they said that the 2 people they sent out were not certified to fix my refrigerator, so the representative said she will send another diagnosis repairman to once again diagnose issue. I asked why on earth would you send 2 companies that cannot fix the issue especially when one of the repairmen told me their company can fix any refrigerator system. Well she had no answer other than call back the next day and they would schedule a THIRD tech to come out. I called the next day and a new representative said "that the claim is now in review to be replaced and we will email you within 3-5 business days with results". After 8 business days I called back and they said the request was never sent to their "claims" department. This whole process has been a joke, and I would NEVER recommend using Warrantech or their partner of companies. Beware Warrantech/Pacific Sales as they are one of the major warranties Best Buy offers. Two months without a refrigerator during Thanksgiving & Christmas and still waiting for someone to do their job...TBC
Horrible company. I bought a refrigerator from Brandsmart and I also purchased a 5 year extended warranty from Warrantech. The refrigerator, which is 1 1/2 years old, has been having problems cooling. I called in November to have it fixed. Warrantech has sent out a repairman 9 times to try to fix the unit. They have replaced the cooling control board twice, all of the fans, the ice maker and last Friday the compressor was replaced. Now the freezer portion of the unit is completely dead and the refrigerator will only cool to 40 degrees. The manager at Brandsmart has requested for the unit to be replaced, but Warrantech refuses to do it. Warrantech said that my warranty only covers repairs and not replacement. It's been 3 months with the unit not working properly and now the repair people have made it worse. Warrantech still refuses to replace the unit.
Same as all the others. Unable to get support on an extended warranty. I was recommended to file a complaint with my states consumer protection department, which I will do, and I suggest you do as well.
Good luck trying to file a claim. Anything wrong with your furniture is your problem. Never buy there warranty!
Extended rip-offs are what this company specializes in. Bought a dishwasher from HH Gregg and Warrantech does their extended warranty fulfillment. First they send a defective part that may or may not have been used based on the looks of it. Then they won't authorize sending out out a part to replace the defective one that was originally sent out. Meanwhile, I'm out a dishwasher for almost a month now.
I've called 4x to date and each time I get a different story about what their policies are. I ask to speak to a supervisor each time and no one will transfer me to one. 3 out of the 4 sounded as though they could barely put a sentence together. The only 1 that was actually polite and tried to be helpful was a guy named Darrel (sp?). He said he saw that I had requested a call back from a supervisor and that he would put in another request to try to get someone to call me back. When I finally get a call back from one, a woman named Nicole, she couldn't help me because it's the end of the day. WTH?
Meanwhile, the actual service company that does the on-site service, is stuck waiting on a replacement part that Warrantech admitted to automatically denying the claim. So in the end, rather than living up to their contracted obligation of facilitating the repair of my appliance, they screw the consumer.
I don't know how this company could have an A+ rating by the BBB. Look online and you'll see 1 negative review after another. Thanks, Warrantech, for wasting my money and time!
Purchase a 5yr extended warranty on a 65"Samsung TV with Brandsmart, after 2 weeks calling customer every single day, Warrantech only provide me a partial store credit. Don't recommend this insurance!!!!!
Total waste of money. If I could give zero stars or thumbs-down I would. Marcella the supervisor had an attitude when she came on the line and did not seem like she was even listening to the customer. Bought a couch one year ago the zippers ripped and they call it a normal wear and tear and will not replace. Don't ever buy that warranty it's not worth it.
If I could could select less stars, I would. I filed a warranty claim for a button that fell off of the backrest of a sofa. The button was giving the backrest visual appeal and tufting the fabric. Warrantech (Big Lots warranty company) claimed the button was structural damage and denied the claim. On the other hand if the sofa frame was broken it would also be considered structural damage (but covered). Read the fine print on the warranty flyer, it reads : Not covered (accidental damage/intentional damage, or acts of god)) Essentially giving this company the ability to deny any claim you submit. This comp is based in Texas, but when you call in, it seems as though you are calling the Philippines half way around the world and they are masters of dragging out the call and making you want to give up. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company at all cost.
These people put customers through a circus show. They state that the manufacture should help after I am out of their warranty. The panel on my tv needs replaced because it is defective. The panel is not a repairable part, in fact, it would cost more to fix the panel than to buy a new tv. They told me I have to go through the manufacturer, and the manufacture stated because I am out of their one year warranty, I have to go through my extended warranty. I paid good money for this warranty, and here they are giving wrong information and illegal information. The beverly song act does not apply to this situation, and the tv has to be replaced. The panels are not manufactured for repair, because they are not a repairable part. I have had it with warrantech, no one should ever buy their warranty.
I was hired by a customer to repair their fridge. Warrentech told the customer they would reimburse them for any charges. There was an agreement ahead of time that any parts installed on the refrigerator are nonrefundable. This was Ahead of time. Long story short I installed a part and they would not cover it. I didn t want the customer to be stuck with the cost of the part but I ate the cost myself because of it. I have dealt with them many times in the past and they always find a loop hole to get out of paying. Especially after they took over all of hhgreggs customers. That s why nobody in Indy will deal with them anymore. And customers just end up paying out of pocket to avoid even using the warranty that they purchased. I agree the positive reviews must be from their own company!
I had no problem getting my claim handled thanks warrantech
Literally the worst company in the country. I d give them a zero if I could.
Its truly alarming that so many people have been a victim of warrantech and blatant disregard to help people in their time of need. My mom is going through a situation where best buy sold our warranty contract to warrantech. Warrantech first brought out a electricians and he told us, he couldn't fix, he said we need a new compressor. Two weeks later still no resolution. Now warrantech is telling us that we need to go to an independent company that specializes in whirlpool because they don't have the parts for our refrigerator. My mom now has to pay out of pocket for something that should be covered on her warranty. Judging by all the reviews I've read, warrantech takes awhile to reimburse the consumers. I'm truly disappointed in best buy for having everybody that wrote reviews similar to mine, having to deal with such a SCAM of a warranty company in such an unprecedented times.
This company is repulsive! They lowball you with a terrible offer. When you give them the benefit of the doubt and respectfully decline their offer, because maybe it was just an honest mistake, they come back with an even lower offer. The disrespect. They re literally offering me a replacement TV or Credit worth the price of the warranty I paid. It s extremely frustrating and upsetting. Formal complaints against them don t seem to do anything either (being that they already have our money). If there is a way to make this company dish out what they re supposed to, please help.
NEVER EVER EVA EVA BUY FROM THESES PEOPLE/COMPUTERS. Watch The Wolf of Wall Street and you will see how these cats work. Love that FREE MONEY........Yes please. Tell them what they need to hear.....then put on the company they might of mentioned so we don't have to pay out or if we do we sale the contracts to "this guy I know" . Keep on making them beds.
called and wait for one hour before giving up fist time, second time 2 hrs. please don't wait your time with this company I hope I would have read the reviews before purchase this fake warranty AT BEST BUY
I wish I could give this company negative stars. Our washing machine has been broken for over 2 months. Warrantech has sent out technicians 5 times and each time the technician has to order more parts. The cost of service and parts has far exceeded the cost to replace the machine...and Warrantech still won't replace the machine! I will never buy any of their warranty services again!
I'm not surprised of all the negative review.
That shows you what is happening inside in all departments.
I mean things like HR asking inappropriate questions while interviewing ......
Warrentech manages the warranty claims for Best Buy service contracts in the Houston area. If anything goes wrong with your claim they will ignore you and not respond. They're not very professional and are in no way any good at their job. Hopefully they'll lose their service contracts, go out of business, and the world will be saved their misery.
Worse company to deal with .. We paid in full for Coverage for our 2014 BMW 535I to make sure if anything with wrong we were covered.. Now that we have issues with the car almost 2 years later... Warrantech is denying all problems with it ... It have an AC problem / Vacuum issue from pic/ value cover.. Motor & Ac problems .. covered on there paperwork ... BUT NOT SORRY NO COVERAGE DENYED.. NOT HAPPY THIS IS GOING ON YELP / BBB / GOOGLE ETC .. THE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW NOT TO WORK WITH SUCH A COMPANY ... If no coverage will be allowed then return what i thought i paid for coverage for an expensive car that i was only trying to do the right thing..
Was a good job I guess if you like being a slave! Was taking hella more calls than everyone and being judged the hardest and watched like a hawk....they don't care about the people in there.
Bought a set of Beats headphones from Brandsmart in Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, FL. Purchased the extended warranty. The Beats snapped apart exposing the wires. My son taped the headset back together because the wires were exposed. Warrantec now says my extended warranty was voided because he put tape on the headsets to keep the wires from being exposed. What a waste of money!!! Now I see why this company has such poor reviews!!!!
Do not use them. My attorney will be contacting them as they owe me 3000 and do not want to pay. Has taken 3 months to get anywhere with them.
THEY DO NOT DESERVE ONE STAR, BOUGHT REFRIGERATOR LG 15 MONTHS AGO, DOOR WILL NOT STAY OPEN WHEN GETTING FOOD OUT, DOORS NOT LEVEL. EVAPORATOR FAN MOTOR EXCESSIVE LOUD NOISE, STOPPED COMPLETELY AFTER TWO MONTHS. TEMP. 50 DEGEES IN REFRIG. CONTROL PANEL NOT WORKING NO WATER OR ICE. WARRANTECH EMPLOYEES ARE LIERS OR IDOTS. SHIPS WRONG PARTS OVER AND OVER. INPUT INCORRECTLY INTO COMPUTERS INFO SO THEY CAN SAY THEY HAVENOT WORKED ON A PROBLEM THREE TIMES. WE HAVE SPENT HOURS WAITING ON THE PHONE TO TALK TO SOMEONE. IF YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM HHGREG/WARRANTECH YOU ARE A FOOL!!!!
I bought a refrigerator from Hhgregg before they went under. I also bought the extended warranty through warrentech. Two years after I bought my fridge the freezer went out A year and a half later and 5 visits, warrentech sends me a check a quarter of what I spent on the fridge with the warranty and said they are done trying to fix my refrigerator. What's the point of buying an extended warranty if they can't fulfill their end of it. I will never do business with this company again.
I wish I could rate this company less stars than ZERO. Horribly customer service attitudes. Really disappointed that Pacific Sales and Best Buy would utilize this company for any warranty issues. Spoke to a "supervisor" about replacement for my LG fridge after having incompetent technicians and 2 weeks of waiting to fix the unit get mad and accuse me of questioning his manhood and integrity because I wanted to speak to a manager above him. Tells me that he is the last person I can speak to because he is angry that we have a disagreement. What a ridiculous company. If you buy from Best Buy because they are awesome, make sure that you get something that is covered by GeekSquad and not Pacific Sales warranty....
Bought a Nikon D610 a 2 years ago and purchased their extended warranty along with the purchase. I've had to send my camera in twice, once for a malfunctioning viewfinder and then again for a broken shutter. They took care me both times. I cannot speak for most as there are some pretty negative reviews online, but I've been nothing but satisfied with how they've handled both incidents with my equipment.
Total scam artists. Will do any and everything to get out of reimbursement
Wish I could give half a star. This is the most horrible company to ever deal with. Completely unresponsive, lying, deceiving, obfuscating their responsibilities. Never return phone calls, make empty promises, and avoids customer contact.
I purchased a Samsung 78" curved TV thru HH Gregg and also purchased a 5 year warranty. Little that I knew the warranty was thru Warranteck and as I was to find out that was a major mistake. One year and 2 weeks after my purchase (2 weeks out of Samsung warranty) my TV started to get a star white light on my screen so I turned in a claim. I purchased the tv in the at the HH Gregg home office store and I thought I would be service from a tech in the Indianapolis area but I found out that a week after I turned in the claim I was contacted by some service company out of Ohio. They had me get pictures of the problem and other items which I promptly sent them. I then proceeded to wait for over a month while Warrantech decided on what to have the service company do (during that time they actually cancelled there contract with the servicing company by mistake) to fix my TV. They finally decided to replace just the panel instead of the whole tv and ordered the part for the service company to come to my house to replace the panel. (I had to wait an additional week while they had enough work in Indiana to come to my house). Finally 5 weeks after I turned in the claim the service company showed up at our door to fix the TV. But when they found out the TV was in an upstairs entertainment room they refused to take the new panel upstairs because the owner of the company had a bad back and his assistant had a bad wrist. He told me for him to take the panel upstairs it would cost me $200 for him to do it (even though he had a bad back) which I told him NO! Finally after some "discussion" his assistant and my wife carried the panel upstairs after I signed a waiver. They then fixed the TV and while they were doing that I asked them a question about the 3D part of the TV but refused to answer the question do the fact that they were not there for anything to do about the 3D. They did quickly fix the problem and seemed to be very efficient and left after I helped them take the old panel down stairs. Moral of the story is do not buy a warranty from Warrantech unless you want to wait more than a month to get you problem fixed from a service company that is not even in your state and you are prepared to do all the heavy lifting (unless you want to pay $200 then they can overlook their bad back).
Updated rating from 1 to 3: I went through the BBB in Texas to get this resolve. Once the complaint was filed I received prompt customer service and got my issue resolved.
-----
Total rip off. I supplied all the necessary information for a 50% refund which was part of the offer for buying a 4 year plan. Didn't hear from anyone at the company for 6 weeks so I wrote their customer service for an update regarding my refund. I was told I wasn't eligible because I didn't supply the proper receipt. I then supplied the proper receipt and haven't heard from anyone since. That was 4 weeks ago. I cannot even get the same CS person to reply to my emails.
This company is quick to send a renewal for the warrant but will not honor the refund promised. Stay away from any warrant if it's coming from Warrantech.
Do not buy the extended warranty if it is serviced by Warrantech. Their horrible customer service and unqualified technicians will most probably make your problem worse, Because of them my refrigerator warranty was voided.
You will most likely get put in a circle of "let me get you in touch with somebody else" responses. It seems that nobody there has the ability to even give you a simple answer on a status of repair, or even that they will look into it. Fridge has been out of commission for over 3 weeks++ since original call for service. Worst follow-up ever. Would not recommend. Granted, the fridge is covered and will eventually be repaired, but at some point you lose faith in the ridiculousness that is their ability to get a repair completed.
No stars. Busy signal every day no matter the time. Sent two emails. Asked for information i already sent. Never hheard from them again. I will try writing letter. Wish me luck. Would love to get my tv fixed.
Worst company ever. This is a total scam. They purchased a warranty to appliances. Fridge went out and when I called for repair they outsourced to Guinco which is another fraudulent company. Service tech ahs been to my home on 8 ocassions over the past 2 months and my fridge is still down.
I can't give them any stars, but I had to in order to post this.
Our warranty was originally declined because LG extended our warranty our second request after going 7 1/2 months without a refrigerator and LG dealing with us in a total disregard warrantech came thru and made good on our warranty thank you
Horrible management with zero leadership. They have no problem expensing $500 monte le blanc pens while paying employees the bare minimum.
Unfortunately I purchased a refrigerator from HHgreg . They talked me in to getting an extended warranty. Shortly after HHgreg announced it was closing but promised that the warranties were still good through Warrantech. Unfortunately you will be lucky to get in touch with them for repairs and then even after speaking with them it may take a month to actually see a service contractor. My unit has failed 3 times and they refuse to replace it. A complete waste of money and time. And every interaction with them will leave you upset.
This is a scam, terrible unprofessional company. I bought a Samsung front loader in 2013 model WF393BTPAWR/A2 for $795 with 5 years extended warranty. clothes come out dirty (muddy), mold on the rubber door and bad smell. They sent a lousy repairman in 2014 but the problem persists. On June 6, 2016 i filed a claim for the same problem. One guy came the next day to examine and said it needed a part and should be back within 10 business day. This has been 24 days ago. I filed a complaint with the BBB and waiting the outcome. I called Warrantech and spoke to the Manager and asked for a replacement he said the warranty covers repairs but not replacement. I went today to the store and asked about if the warranty covers replacement and said YES. Will write more later.
Warrantech is supposed to support the extended warranty I purchased from Best Buy. Fat chance! The whole extended warranty mess between Best Buy and Warrantech is a racket. Best Buy points the finger and Warrantech and Warrantech does the same with Best Buy. Ridiculous. I've made my last purchase from Best Buy and any extended warranty from Warrantech (Warranblech is more like it).
Won t pay out their claims- they are just evil and crooked like no other company. Take forever to deal with the claims, deny EVERYTHING. Do NOT use this company.
Google needs to give the option for zero stars or negative stars....1 star misrepresents the rating. I echo all the other constructive reviews. If I were a reputable big box store like Best Buy, where I bought my refrigerator I would sever ties with this vendor. It reflects horribly on Best Buy and knowing that they are their extended warranty provider I won't be buying appliances from Best Buy. The incompetence is mind blowing. On my 4th service request for the same issues and they still require a technician to come out but guess what, the technician didn't come out because Warrentech didn't send the service company the ticket with a new claim number. So now I sit on hold for 22 minutes and counting...after I had been disconnected...mind you I haven't raised my voice or been rude.
Bought GAP insurance with this company. Total my car over an year ago now (Jan 2019) , and STILL haven't process my claim in settlement to the bank. I could say, file an police report at time of scene, stated the hitting of an deer, AND the car insurance adjuster submitted vehicle total loss; does NOT warrant your claim to be acceptable. File total loss claim within week of vehicle accident, and on the day of when insurance adjuster deem vehicle to be total loss. I had with my car insurance company collision, and comprehensive. I would HIGHLY recommend an to report file against this company to the BBB. I will NOT recommend getting GAP with this company. Encourage buying GAP insurance to another car warranty company. Lastly, due to this burden.. my credit was effected as well because the bank hasn't received the remaining balance of loan with the GAP insurance. Now beginning to question the if GAP does NOT stand for Guaranteed Asset Protection.
Horrible warranty service as others have said. People get sucked into buying extended warranty when buying appliances. Lesson learned to never buy extended warranty!
Unable to understand the customer service rep. He was trying to tell me that I had to use the company he wanted me to use for repairs. Thank god I had already spoken to my appliance store service center and they told me they would do repairs once the claim from Warrantech (IDIOTTECH)! Was emailed to them. They need to give their customer service phone people SPEECH CLEARANCE before putting them on the phone!
Best buy uses this company to service their extended warranties. Don't waste your time, my fridge was one of the top of the line fridges (at the time) and it broke down multiple times for the same issue. They have replaced everything and still won't cash out my fridge so i can go buy a working fridge. Customer service staff speaks English but can't comprehend it.
From one Texan to another, you would think this company takes care of it's customers, but not the case. Yes, they have paid for some claims for a service contract I had with them, but on top of a $100 deductible spent 3 times and a $3400 price tag, could have probably saved half of that in paying repairs from the dealer. I had the ultimate service contract that was as close to a manufactures warranty I could get and had 3 declines for claims: evap system, and 2 electrical issues (those were quoted a additional $1500 by the dealer). Steer away. This company has done nothing to address my issue, and in my opinion is focused only on making profits!
Worst customer experience I've received to date. Contacting Whirlpool now to insure they understand the lack of customer obsession they're allowing to damage their brand. Hopefully they can rectify.
Total SCAM. Read the other reviews!! System needs to be changed to allow NEGATIVE STARS, one star is minimum and the only reviews with more than one star seem to be from (supposed) employees. Bad responses to any questions asked, evasive, they decide not to honor warranty and promise to mail a "buy out" check within 15 days. Don't tell you the amount and when the check arrives it won't even cover the cost of a service call. I repeat, TOTAL SCAM. Going back too buying from Lowe's where they stand behind their warranty and their word.
worst possible company in the world lies lies lies all I can say. I will be asking every company I buy if warranty is through this company I will not buy it. Been waiting for my washer and dryer to be repaired since 2-24-16 and still waiting and waiting and waiting. Beware do not use
Straight up insurance fraud!
Worst company ever, stay far away. I purchased an extended warranty for over $3k from volvo through warrentech. They gave the dealership the run around for 2 months and kept asking dealer to tear engine apart further at my cost even though their third party adjuster agreed car needed a new engine. In the end they would not honor warranty. Thankfully Volvo stepped up and replaced the engine on their dime - cost over $14k which I would have been out of pocket. Will be reporting them to every agency available!
I have worked here for over a year. These people are great. Good company
Warrantech and their local TV service provider A&M TV Service (Feasterville, PA) have been the worse customer experience of my life. Bought the Warrantech "Premium Warranty" at HH Gregg for a 65 inch HD Sony TV and they have not resolved the problem after hours on the phone and several months. The worst disservice and I am reporting them to local consumer services, local television news stations and the Better Business Bureau. They have been completely negligent. I was previously a very good customer of HH Gregg and I will not use them ever again.
Absolutely a terrible company. Would not repair my fridge that was under warranty. Will not give money towards food loss. Every time you call you are on hold for at least 45 minutes. Not worth the time or effort. Complete waste of money to get a warranty with these people.
I have had horrible dealings with this company. I had an issue with a GE fridge purchased from BandB Appliances in Middleburg Hts, OH. The fridge was 13 months old. BandB uses Warrantech for extended warranties and we wasted the money on a 5 year plan. Calling Warrantech was horrible. The random people in their call center never really wanted to help. I asked for them to have GE come out and they would not allow it. They forced me to have a mom and pop shop be scheduled for the repair. They never showed up. I called to complain and Warrantech refused to send GE. I called GE directly and they sent a tech out. They did the repair extremely quickly and were so nice. The GE tech knew his stuff. There was no charge from GE. I wish I bought my warranties directly through GE. I still may since calling Warrantech is useless.
I would give negative stars if possible. Warrantech is a joke of a company.
We purchased a tv and 5 year extended warranty from HH Gregg. Our tv went out 5 weeks ago and we contacted Warrantech since HH Gregg is now out of business. 5 WEEKS AND 1 DAY later we still have no resolution. I call several times a week, and wait almost an hour each time to talk to someone, sometimes even getting hung up on after 30 minutes, only to be told by the unknowledgable, unprofessional customer service reps that they don't have an update and to call back in 2-3 days.
I finally was able to get a hold of a supervisor who was just as unqualified and was contradicting herself during our whole conversation in regards to how their "processes" work and that she had no updates for me. Only after I told her I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau and get lawyers involved was she magically able to get new information. She claims we will have our resolution confirmed to us by the end of business today. I'm not holding my breath on that.
I will never again purchase an extended warranty from any company. We paid almost $500 for the warranty, we could have just used that money to buy a new tv, 5 weeks ago when it first went out, instead of waiting it out with this ridiculous company. I have already submitted my complaint to the BBB.
One of our family companies, great responses to the entire group, we service most of the customer service in Houston area. Appreciate your help with the elements of the extended warranty . E F. Detwiler LG appliances. N235480.
Glad I read the reviews on this company before purchasing warranty from them. Sounds like an awful company
Unfortunately, this company does not care for its customers. We have tried to be very patient and work the process, but at this point they won't take ownership. We have been without a dryer for 2 weeks now and they haven't even ordered the part to get it fixed. When we talked to supervisors they basically say they can't do anything to get the part ordered. They keep passing off the blame to everyone else. We talked to Monique (not sure how to spell it), a supervisor who again today basically said she can't do anything (not sure why she is a supervisor if she literally has no power to get something so simple done) but call on Monday to see if the part is ordered, but can't make sure it actually gets ordered. Over and over their company passes off ownership to just order a part that we have already found in stocks at Samsung. At this point we have spent hours calling with no action, we have spent over 50$ at the laundromat, we have used many friends Washer and dryer and still, 2 weeks after reporting the problem, they still haven't ordered the part. It's amazing how a company simply won't do what it should for a customer becuase we already paid them money so they have no reason to work quickly. When I asked the supervisor if she would be happy if her family was treated this way if their dryer broke, if this would be frustrating she was totally dismissive and said that her family has nothing to do with this, totally missing the point that someone at her company has to take ownership to help us as if they were helping their own family. The kicker is that the part is 28$, so I could have ordered the part and had it installed for less than I paid for the warranty at this point.
I had to give them one star. That was five stars to much One of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. Maybe the worst. Change their story as they go along. I never get extended warranties. I should've of known this one was like the rest of them. Lesson learned. Never ever again. Stay away at all cost if you don't want to go thru other channels.
The WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Don't buy at HH Gregg bc this is who they use - worst customer service - talking to attorneys to file a class action law suit against this company. Customer can wait weeks before they even order a part. Inexcusable - fraud on customer bc we pay for extended warranty and they don't provide what we pay for.
Horrible company. They place you in hold purgatory hoping you won't file claim. Hire more people!
I don't recommend this horrid warranty company... Nothing but disappointment. The statements about what the company guarantees in the description are very misleading. I would consider them deceptive. For Example: "Repair of the defective unit or a full product replacement" means that a refurbished item is considered "full product".
Bought this to cover my brand new $3500 Surface Book. Spilled a drink into the keyboard 3 weeks later, instantly fried it. I attempted to make a claim, but their web registration was broken. Called to ask for help, didn't get that, but I did get to fax something to them! 3 weeks later, I finally got through to someone on the phone that allowed me to submit a claim. Submitted the claim and have waited over 5 weeks to get a REFURBISHED computer. Expressed my dissatisfaction and they offered to give me a check for $1850, the price of a REFURBISHED surface book.
I have no idea if the refurbished model will be comparable to my current one.
2.5 months later I get a computer that is a lesser value computer. THey replaced my Microsoft Surface Book PA9-00001 13.5-Inch Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Notebook (Intel Core i7-6600U Dual-Core, 16GB RAM, 1 TB Hard Drive,Windows 10 Pro) with a 8GB memory and a 256 GB SSD. A 1000.00 loss.
Do not use this company.
Five years ago I bought a Samsung Refrigerator through HH Gregg. I also bought their extended warranty, and more or less forgot about it. Because HH GRegg had gone out of business it gave me a bit of an incentive to renew the extended warranty I received in the mail offered by Warrantech, a company I had not heard of. In October of this year, after a couple issues with the icemaking capability and noise on our fridge, I called the number on my renewal notice. After I spoke with a woman named Karen B. ( I believe), she gave me a number of a local appliance repair service. I'm in the Chicago area and they were about 30 miles away. Called for an appointment & had to wait for a call back from them to schedule. 2 weeks later they sent out a repairman and on the appointed day I had turned off and totally defrosted the fridge. The repairman said the noise would be gone, but not the icemaker. He said there was nothing he could do. Nothing, Nada.He said I should hear from the warranty within a couple of weeks and they would offer either a new refrigerator or send a check for my current fridge. I checked some of the online reviews on the company, and I was not too optimistic. Almost 3 weeks later I received a check from them for a few hundred less than I paid for the Samsung refrigerator in 2015!!! I was more than pleasantly surprised. Bottom line is that I got a check for over $2000. They get 5 stars from me. In my current state of jubilation I would give them 10 stars. They honored their warranty to the letter.
Do not buy a warranty from warrantech or myprotection360!!! It is a complete scam. If you try to file a claim, they will not answer the phone and you will be on hold for hours and they will never pick up. You cannot file a claim online because it asks you to register for a login, but when you get to the page to create a password, the page says, "This site can't be reached." Total scam!
This gap company is a complete joke. Do not waste your time with this company.
Don't like answering the phone, and you pay so much for a warranty you are not able to use and it is non-refundable. It's a useless company that you most definitely shouldn't be getting a warranty from. It's a huge waste of money and time.
Thanks for fixing my TV. Desmond Hunte from Warrentech is awesome! He made sure my situation was taken care of.
Thank you so much! I was in a bind with my car and Warrentech stepped up to save the day. They were very helpful, their customer service was next level, and most most importantly quick so solve my issue. I highly recommend their service!
Don't insure any of your Brandsmart products DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Marcela the supervisor has 0 knowledge about how to treat a customer.... Very bad and terrible experience. They just find a way to say you have not rights to claim for the insurance. I paid 250 usd for an insurance of the tv and now they say i dont even have a right to use it. TERRIBLE customer service. SCAM
TLDR: I got a full refund eventually it just took way longer than it should have. The repair company messed up my laptop and so had to send it in twice, then finally got a refund. Took about 3 months in total to go from broken laptop > fixed laptop or full refund.
Service was solid initially, communications were professional. I had dropped my laptop and the keyboard was non-functional, and I was quickly routed to the repair company with no shipping fees or anything. So that was great. I wasn t given a buy out option, which doesn t factor into this review but is something that I didn t realize with the insurance ($1000-1250 laptop) I bought. The issue came when I received my laptop back from the repair shop. The logic board (mother board) was replaced, which fixed my broken keyboard, but the laptop now runs horrendously. In addition, the chassis either wasn t put back together correctly or was jostled out of place in shipment, but there s a noticeable gap between the metal base plate and they keyboard section. I m hoping that I can maybe get a buy out now, however when I filed an online claim it just immediately sent a shipping label. I leave for college soon and don t totally have the time to go through the 2-3 week process of mailing, having fixed, and having shipped back my laptop.
Update #1: Couldn t bet a buyout, sounds like it s only an option if the repair shop can t fix your laptop (though there could be other situations where they ll do it). I m not going to college in person anymore, so I shipped it off for repair again.
Update #2: I am mad. I sent my laptop in for repair and was told that they decided to scrap it and give my an offer (this is from the repair shop). It has now been nearly two weeks and I still have nothing from smartguard. Called a week ago, was told I d have an answer in 3-5 business days. I call again, they tell me to look for an email from a week ago. That email is the email saying that they needed information on the laptop before they could make an offer (information which should be in their system). I call them back to tell them the email was sent before it was even decided to scrap my laptop. They tell me to call the repair shop because they aren t sure what s happening. I call the repair shop, they say they made a mistake and the confusing new email I received should be ignored. I call smart guard, they tell me they still don t have a resolution after two weeks and they ll escalate it in their system and have an answer back in 1-2 business days. This is after telling me over a week ago that they d have an answer back in 3-5 business days. If you are willing to spend literal hours calling them and getting nothing back, then you ll maybe eventually get your money. But since first sending my laptop in, it has been over two months and I still don t have a correctly repaired laptop or compensation/an offer back. I m always nice to the employees, it s not their fault, but I am *very* frustrated with the company.
Update #4: I got a full refund eventually, just took way way way longer than it should ave.
I would not even give this company a full star. I have been trying to deal with them since September of 2016 for my GAP insurance and they are AWFUL! Each time I call it's always another excuse why there is a delay. They claim they haven't got my documents from me when I've sent each document 3 separate times. I finally get a call stating they got my police report but couldn't find my account and then I try to get in contact with them about it and they send me off to another department. This is now February and nothing is settled. I do not trust this company At all. They aren't trustworthy or helpful or reliable and they are awful. Stay away from them.

Sorry but not very pleased with them, because our refrigerator has an extended warranty with them, and they said they would honor the warranty, and referred me to a company, yet I had to use that company, and no other; and the company they said to use said that they could not come out until Wednesday, five days from now! We had food defrosting in the freezer!!! Their company said they were swamped with work. It would be good if they contacted other companies then to honor their warranties, as Ace Appliance Service, which we used; (with Arrow Refrigeration) Warrantech said they would not reimburse us for the other company's repair, so it's "out of pocket" expense.
THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY.!.!.! I have been without a Range/oven for 5 months. Part has been on back order for 5 months......this is completely insane. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY..!.!!.!.!.!.!.!.!.! TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL , OUTSOURCE CALL CENTER... etc. my rating of this company would be negative stars.
On the night of my dad s funeral my mom s refrigerator broke and the next day we called to exercise the warranty for repair. Took about a week to finally leave somebody a message and get a response back that there was a heartbeat and a pulse and maybe something was going to happen but nobody ever came out. The technician said he ordered all the parts but he never visited the house so we don t know how he could ve ordered parts. After about two months of not getting anywhere we decided to write the son of a guns off and I can tell you this.... don t ever purchase a warranty from this company they will leave you hanging in your worst moments!
bought a dishwasher from howards. fell under warranty period. put a claim in. they assigned a service provider who kept claiming they couldn't get the parts from the manufacturer. i called whirlpool myself and found they do indeed have the part. called warrantech. spoke to a supervisor after going thru multiple regular calls with the service support team. they tell you that they will call you back. THEY NEVER DO. i've literally been on hold for 1:15minutes while i watched a game on TV after they told me they would transfer me to a supervisor. it's a game of cat and mouse. total run around. my claim has been 2 months and going. no end in sight. every call with them or the service provider is minimum 25 minutes on hold. it's all a sham. 100% sham. i have quite a bit of patience but they really test you to point of a nervous breakdown. karma will find them one day. we just need to keep telling our story as consumers.
They failed to get my refrigerator fixed and kept me waiting for three weeks, but at least they took my money. Don't even consider this company.
The warranties they provide are designed to not cover anything. The sectional couch I purchased as a whole unit they want to replace one section of it after 3 months of unfulfilled promise of responding in a few days. I spent 3 months to get told they don t cover thread separation all along zipper in the cushions. That s normal wear and tear with two 45-50 year olds having it in a second living room and Very little use. Springs in one side gave away and you sink down in one side of it. It is two years old. Will I be happy with half of a new couch? No! Unresponsive and designed to deny any claim or provide any kind of real resolution.
I purchased a Poulan Pro Lawn Mower a few years ago from Menards. I also bought the extended warranty from Warrentech. This has been a very frustrating experience. Both the Repair Facility Antioch Small Engine and Myself are getting the "run around.". Their Customer Service Member (at least They answer the phone) claims that no emails or repair orders were ever exchanged. That is Total BS...This is a truly Bad experience and one to avoid...AVOID THIS ORGANIZATION ANT ALL COST....After reading these reviews, I am not alone. Lesson learned.
The staff did everything right and my client came away satisfied
