Pretty cool venue, the downstairs is sloped giving a better view for all the audience but is pretty straining on the back and calves. It's a shame we saw such an awful artist here (Ben Howard) as I suspect it could have great acoustics but it was hard to tell given the odd new album and not playing a single one of his songs in the style it was recorded in. I don't think I have seen an artist and been so disappointed, he clearly didn't deserve to sell out this venue four nights on the trot. The show was a let down but the venue was quirky enough to keep me interested.

Huge venue, good place for a gig. Completely different vibe when in the circle to when you're standing.yook off a star for the limited toilet facilities and the bar was okay, but could have been better.

Some great artists here, but to say the O2 brand has its name on the building, it's grotty and in desperate need of a refurb. There is much improvement needed in getting paying guests inside.

Unbelievable venue. Rubber-like floor so you're got grip when moving a lot. The floor is raised the further back you are so you can still see the band. The stage is ridiculously cool. A little echoey but that can be forgotten depending on the band you're seeing!!

Hands down the best venue in London, and probably the UK. I've been about 15 times and each time the sound is perfect and LOUD...not a washed out, bass-y mess like some other London venues (which I won't go into now). The sloped floor means you can see what's going on wherever you are, and the atmosphere is always incredible. It holds 5,000 people but feels kind of intimate when you're in there (particularly when you're in the mix near the front). Love this place, have made a lot of great memories in there!

One of my favorite venues in London! Good size, the standing area is a ramp which helps everyone to have good views, they usually don't overcrowd the place, so you can buy beers and go to the toilet without massive issues.
I've been horribly treated by the cloakroom folks, but that was a one time thing.

Wish the venue was a bit cooler, but it i had to have an asthma attack at a gig again id choose to be here. The staff couldnt have been more helpful! So thankful for their help. Starkly different from the assistance i had at the o2 dome.

The venue is good but the area is the pits. One pub left in the high road which is packed so you're left to buy drinks inside the academy which are expensive. Staff and security seem a lot more friendly then I remembered.

Saw the band hurts here.
The venue was perfect for the band. Big enough to allow a wide audience, but not too big that there was too much of a crowd.
The bar was easily accessible. Would definitely recommend to use as a band venue.

One of my favourite gig venues. Acoustics are always good and the slopes floor means you can always see the stage. If you are with O2 it's worth downloading the priority/ academy apps. When I went it was 2 4 1 on all beer and cider, free cloakroom etc

I attended DJ Black Coffee concert here, whom i enjoy his music very much. My issue was with the security level at this place, with my bare eyes i saw people carrying both guns and drugs were sold and used inside. I chose to leave since the vibe of the place didn t make me or my partner fee safe, it was a shame tbh.

Been to many gigs at this venue, it's superb. The staff are fantastic. My pregnant wife and I recently went to a ska concert there, the staff went above and beyond to make sure that she was comfortable and safe. Made a fantastic evening even better!

Lovely venue. Try to get seats towards the front of the stage (duh!) or in the standing area - whatever's appropriate for the act. View isn't fantastic right at the top. Have had the opportunity to see Rihanna and Tenacious D live here, great stuff! Arrive early if possible, particularly if you're going for standing room, as the queues can be huge.

We were there to see Dropkick Murphys at the O2 Academy Brixton! It's a beautiful place, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs!!! The only bad thing I could say is that they could have a lift for the public with mobility issues to get up to the seats, but other than that it was a great experience for both my husband and myself!!!

Decent gig venue - quite near the tube and the wide space means a good view wherever you are. On the downside, there aren't enough girls loos, I hate the way the bar doesn't take cards (you can easily spend 20 minutes queuing for Brixton's only working cashpoint) & the acoustics aren't the best.

Really lovely staff working in this venue! I was at the front seeing The xx (11/03) until I felt very unwell and had an aching headache. To the head gentleman who was in charge of outside and the doors & also the woman that was working on the left side of the arena, I thank you for looking after me and making me feel better. I wouldn't of enjoyed the gig if it wasn't for you's!

The venue is ok. Nothing special and there isn't enough staff for safety and the staff there is are all outside or congregated by the toilets. I saw 3 accounts of need for security due to a small group of troublemakers but there was no way to get their attention if we even knew who to get the attention of! In the future I'm sticking to other venues to see the bands I like as I do not want to experience this venue again.
