Went with some friends from UMD. Food came out really fast! Favorite dish was the Hainan Chicken and some kind of fried pork chops.

Excellent food, very quick for take out and delivery. Highly recommend, especially the Halibut and dry fried chicken dishes!
Enjoyed my lunch there with a friend. The quality of the food was excellent. Definitely worth a visit. I'll be back.
First of all, I have to say: the food in this store is great! In particular, (signature scallion chicken) waiter also greeted.
But the boss doesn't welcome families with children, and the boss can't accept your children's dirty carpets.
I have a pair of two-year-old twins. The boss actually uses a pair of "black noodles" and a broom to sweep you and your child's legs continuously during the meal time... Suppose you are the parent of the party and you will not be angry. ?
Summary: The boss hates children.
Although I don't post often, I am moved by these dining experiences. Excellence, cozy clean soft ambience pervades. I cannot say enough about the authentic Chinese dishes at the heart of this gem ive found.
You need to come and experience the comfort level Wang Palace provides. You must try the delishous fresh delicacy of their delicious shrimp toast, I will never go elsewhere for. Every homemade authentic recipe you are served, is food fit for anyone fickle. Try the Seafood Birds Nest, tender shrimp scallops and lobster sauteed perfectly with Chinese vegetables..in a crisp authentic bird's nest. Crisp to a artful fault. Why did I go on and on about this restaurant? I wish to welcome them to the great town of Rocky Hill CT from their formor residence in Glastonbury! Welcome! Come welcome them yourselves.
Sincerely,
Linda T. From Wethersfield CT.
PS. I can't wait to try
The beef lomein is amazing here. We order chinese food alot and this is the best. I am super glad that they are within walking distance to us!
I really liked the salt and pepper marinated fried pork chop. The scallion pancake was excellent. My dining companion enjoyed the beef noodle soup but expected more spicy. Some dim sum offered but no cart service. Large menu. Looking forward to trying more items in future visits. Excellent service.
The food is very good. It's very tasty. The portion is smaller than I expected, but the service is very good. Will definitely go there again.
One of the better Asian fare options in the immediate area. Not much decor, typical bar and rows of tables and chairs. Food is standard to very good - lots of Chinese-American dishes and a good carry-out option from extensive menu.
Wang Dynasty had great food! I highly recommend the sliced Taiwanese chicken. Great, clean environment with quick service.
Ordered take-out, Kung Pao Chicken, Beef fried rice and pork fried dumplings; texture, taste, spice was poor. The spices on the Kung Pao was terrible, absolutely no taste, tasted the chilis, no taste whatsoever. The dishes tasted like they were pre-packaged, from frozen. My carry out ended up in the trash can. What a disappointment!
Without a doubt, one of the best Chinese chefs in the entire area. My family and I have been following Chef Wang since 2006 ever since he ran the former "Pacifica Restaurant" in the Kentlands. We were so happy and amazed that he moved locations to Bethesda in 2020 and has refreshed the old menu.
Notable dishes: Shanghai meatball, seaweed-infused fish, crispy shrimp w/ minced pork, the dim-sum chive pocket, any of the hot oil hot pot styles, etc etc etc. But honestly, every dish they serve just has so much flavor and depth. It's incredible how this chef can elevate your usual go-to Chinese to another level entirely.
It says a lot when both the younger AND older generation of Asian families truly adore Chef Wang. My family and I will continue to support this incredible chef for as long as he is around.
Great authentic cuisine! One of my favorites in the area. Also love their lunch special (you can pick two entre dishes instead of one) that comes with soup. The Shanghai meatballs are delicious.
I personally really enjoy the scallion noodle as well.
Check this place out!
Oh they also do delivery if you're within 3 miles if the restaurant.
Had a awesome experience in this spot with my kid. The food arrived quickly and the customer service is just great. Prices are convenient.
So happy to welcome Wang to the neighborhood
Food way above average at reasonable prices. Menu includes high end items not available at other equally priced Chinese restaurants
Wow absolutely amazing! I'm picky about quality and this place is delish! The chicken lomein is authentic flavor and good quality with good veggies in there. Also spring rolls not greasy at all, and packed with flav. Only chinese food I'm getting now this side of Bethesda . Highly recommend
Yummy Chinese food, but very expensive for the portion sizes. The bean sauce noodles could have had more sauce. The peking style pork chop sauce tasted more like sweet and sour sauce rather than Peking sauce. The beef noodle soup had a lot of oil in the soup. Otherwise, the beef chow fun, orange chicken, and hot and sour soup very good.
Interestingly, this place took longer than expected to get our food ready, most likely because they were busy. When we went to pick up our order, there was a good number of bags waiting for pickup.
Overall, I may go back to this place occassionally.
Wonderful service and food. My daughter and I enjoyed the dim sum
I regularly stop buying some food in this spot. I like the quick service and well cooked dishes. They never disappoint.
We had fabulous take-out on New Years eve. The best Chinese food in ages. Ordered eggplant with basil which was chunks of Chinese eggplant in a very flavorful modest brown sauce, not swimming in sauce as you'd expect; Halibut in Garlic White Wine sauce was terrific-- silky chunks of fish ( a large helping too) with a very noticeable but not overwhelming garlic sauce. Magnificent dish ; Shredded Pork w/Chive Flowers and Bean Curd was spectacular--the chives provided a unique flavor that blended nicely with lots of pork and bean curd skins, with a flavor so different from the usual pork dishes; finally, beef with pan-fried noodles-- the sauce was a bit too heavy on the corn-starch and a bit less beef than expected, but here too the flavor was wonderful. It was great that the pan-fired noodles were wrapped separately so that they didn't swim in sauce and get mushy. When combined, the sauce was not overwhelming as we thought, but would still have liked more beef. Overall, all 4 dishes had truly unique flavors. Whereas much Chinese food seems to stem from the same sauce differing only in the solids, theses 4 dishes had truly distinct flavors. The dishes came out on-time for pick-up and after a 15 min drive home and on the table were still hot. Definitely going back to Wang Dynasty!
Pretty tasty. Not too salty, not too spicy. Definitely coming back for seconds.
Hooray, Wei is back with a new restaurant and her recipes! The restaurant is comfortable and well lit. The waiters are attentive. The food is great! I recommend the eggplant and been curd because the sauce is fantastic. We got a few extra dishes so we could enjoy the food later. Parking is a bit difficult at the restaurant so go for one of the garages.
Excellent food, as always! Having lived in China previously, Wang Dynasty is the most authentic Chinese cuisine I've had in America! Dined-in (I'm full vaccinated and the all the recommended precautions) and was the only person there, so the staff was super attentive and it was fun to practice my rusty Mandarin. Only warning is that they make the cocktails quite strong, so just be aware of that if you're planning to do anything after your meal
Went on Saturday night. I was surprised the restaurant was not crowded only a handful of tables. Horrible service. Not checked on during meal for refills or to see if we needed anything. Food brought out before appetizer. Clearly they forgot to put in order for appetizer because it took awhile for it to arrive once ordered. Pork dumplings were excellent. Mongolian beef was good. General Tao chicken was okay. Not the best I ever had. Very limited beer options which included one import and two domestic beers if the server was correct. Very disorganized. Not what I expected at all from previous reviews. Clearly they rely on business from the dealership across the street when it is open. The rest of the restaurants we walked past were packed on a Saturday evening during dinner. Will not return.
Excellent. Wonderful Peking duck and whole fish Hunan style.
Delicious food served with aplomb. We had 11 people in our party and ordered 12 dished -- every one of them a winner. If I had to pick standouts, I'd go with the whole fish, flash-fried and served Hunan style, and both the Kingdom and Salt-and-pepper pork chops. The beef chow fun was super-fast as well.
Highly recommend!
Nice and clean. Great lunch specials during the weekday. Kungpao chicken is my favorite!
Really enjoyed their Lunch Special, which is different from the rest. And includes 2 dishes for each lunch box type tray. I chose Magnolian Chicken and Hunan Beef
Good food and incredibly good service. Very spacious if you want to host a lot of people. Make sure to order the Peking duck ahead of time though.
Quite good. Looks like we have a worthy successor to a favorite neighborhood spot.
A bit underwhelming - the food was a bit lacking in flavor and the spicy dishes were definitely quite mild. On the upside - dim sum on weekends between 11-3!
Wang Dynasty is a sumptuous restaurant which deserves its place in Bethesda. It's the best in the area unless you want to head out farther to Rockville or near Annandale. The breakfast menu is awesome especially the savory version of the soymilk. It makes me remind of my wife's hometown in Taiwan. The peking duck is also nice too. Overall, it was a good experience for a good price that won't break the bank!
This restaurant just opened on May 1. The proprietor used to operate Michael's Noodles in Rockville, which unfortunately closed two years ago. I've been waiting for her to reopen somewhere else!
One of my favorite spots in Bethesda. The pepper chicken is delicious! Incredible lunch deal
Very good food pleasant service. My new go to place for Chinese food.
To satisfy our epicurean desire for Peking Duck, we returned to Wang Dynasty. Their carry out presentation for this delicacy is so unique. Each layer of the Peking Duck is wrapped separately taking into account its purpose. The pancakes are the best we have ever had. They are super thin, not doughy, wrapped in foil so they were still steaming hot by the time we got home. The scallions were perfectly sliced thin so they would not overpower the duck. Their hoisin sauce should be bottled and sold, they would probably make a fortune. A little dab spread over the pancake will do. Now, the duck. Perfection in every bite. There was no fat on the crispy golden brown skin. The meat was sliced just the right thickness. So you spread a little hoisin sauce on the pancake, layer some scallions and then add some crispy skin, some meat, roll it up, and take a bite. The rest is history: you are in duck heaven! Thank you Chef. You are very talented!
At lunch, we two couple had a good time at cost less than $40. with four menus+soup
This place rocks for great, authentic Chinese food. Came here for a quick lunch special pickup, which was a great value for the price and came in these neat compartmented boxes. There was a depth to the egg drop soup (hint of garlic) that really stood out. I come here often for dim sum on the weekends. Can't go wrong here!
Had takeout Peking Duck tonight and it was delicious! Pancakes are very thin too. Have dined in house one other time this year And was equally impressed. Best Chinese food in Bethesda!
The beef lomein is amazing here. We order chinese food alot and this is the best. I am super glad that they are within walking distance to us!
