Walton Law, APC Review

Several years ago I was viciously attacked by an unattended dog which had escaped out the front gate onto the sidewalk. The block was on a rather steep incline and I had gotten off the bike and was walking my bike up the sidewalk when I noticed the dog. I stopped in my tracks so I would not alarm the loose dog. Before I realized what was about to happen, the dog came charging at me, totally unprovoked. I felt what seemed like a nudge from the dog on my left calf. I thought I'd better get the heck out of there before the dog bites me, so I attempted to mount the bike. When doing so, my left leg was not able to support the weight of my body and I fell to the ground. As I did so, I noticed that my lower leg was gushing an alarming amount of blood from a huge gash and my sock and shoe were soaked with blood. I went into shock, nearly fainting. A neighbor noticed what had occurred and phoned 911. I was transported to the Emergency Room at Scripps Mercy Hospital and required 23 stitches. The bite mark was deep and well-defined.
