Thank You for the Great Service Walter's!!!!

Have had nothing but great service from Walter's! Our prior service provider was nowhere near as customer-oriented as Walter's. We have yard waste pickup with this company as well, and the drivers are always friendly and have even picked up our cans by the garage, when we have missed putting them out!

Coming home to find trash bags left on my lawn is unbelievable. I wish I could give this company zero stars. We just moved into the neighborhood and haven't set up a trash service for ourselves yet. Walter's was supposed to pick up two cans left from the previous owners (the regular trash can in addition to the yard waste can). The trash can had a trash bag sticking out from the can a little bit and they tossed that into the street before taking the trash can. They didn't even take the yard waste can like they were supposed to. Leaving trash on my lawn like this is incredibly unprofessional, and I certainly will not be reaching out to them next week when I set up a new trash service.

I just love dealing with this company. I left them for a "cheaper" company but came back after 2 months with that company. The service I get from these people is terrific and I recommend if you live in the Brooklyn Park area take them.

HORRIBLE customer service. We have been trying for weeks to speak with a manager on the phone and can't get a hold of them and have never received a call back. Walters dropped off a maggot filled garbage can at my house and then refused to swap it out. Now they have been charging us for services we no longer want, but can't cancel because we can't speak to a manager. If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would.

Walters is AMAZING, we own a local moving company and have various disposal needs, they are ALWAYS extremely accommodating, polite & professional, prices are reasonable and invoicing is simple. I would highly recommend this company if you live in an area that is able to choose trash haulers.

Driver keeps bringing me a nastier garbage can then previously one i had thought u get a clean one when switched out

We have been with Walter for about a year and have had a pretty good experience. However, we got our bill yesterday and it was $20 higher then the last one! We called and the guy said it was because China was not taking our recycling anymore and that US companies are a lot more expensive. We asked why they didn't warn us or send an email? His response was that they simply didn't have time and that it all happened within the past couple of days. So they had time to raise my bill $20, but not time to email me about it?? We are switching back to ACE...

They have been wonderful. Six weeks ago, my freezer went out and i lost all of my meat for two years. I started to unload and put it in the cans. I am recovering from a broken arm and leg. Thus hadnt been downstairs. When i called to see if they could do an emergency pick up, they sent a truck and two workers to help me finish bring all of the meat up and outside. It was not a pleasant task for them. Very smelly. I really appreciated their kindness and compassion. They will always be five stars.

Great service, great company, great people! They have a truck that goes around cleaning your carts and I didn't have mine out when it came by so I ran down the street and asked the driver if he could still do mine and he backed up to do it. I would highly suggest switching to Walter's if you haven't already.

Significant price jump. Call them and they'll offer you back to the intro rate which is still a ton more than Ace. Check out the competition.

Without doubt, the most unorganized and unprofessional service I've been forced to use. I had a simple request to pick up 2 yard waste bins from my home and have made 5 appointments (and counting) to get these picked up. They do not have the decency or courtesy to call and tell me why they have not been picked up and I have to constantly call to make another appointment. They do not know why they haven't been picked up and have stated the drivers sometimes miss the address and drive by the pick up location. I do not know how you can miss 2 large green bins when they are the only ones out in the neighborhood. They say they can't have trucks re-routed to pick up my bins but they are perfectly fine with dishonoring appointment after appointment for a simple pick up. Complete incompetence. Avoid at all costs.

I have 30 plus years experience with Walters. They are always on time, neat and helpful by phone. They offer a number of options at competitive prices. Love the composting option. Highly recommended.

We have been residential customers of Walter's for 16 years and do not have one complaint. Whenever we have a question or concern the Customer Service staff is right on top of the request. We also appreciate the great attitude and timely responses. We recommend Walter's!

Whenever I need to call into their office, I am greeted with a live person on the phone and NO calling tree.

Go with Ace Waste. This so call-ed family run business is like the mafia. These people go door to door in your neighbor and try to push you move to them by stating they are cheaper. Completes lies! They are exact same price as their competitors! But the service you receive is terrible... they are completely unorganized. I have gone to their physical office spoke with the front desk, and the OWNER"S MOTHER even and they can't complete or get straight their facts straight.

Today is April 1. Yard waste was supposed to start as there wasn t any snow left and hadn t rained in a few days. I left on the curb 1 full bin and 5 bags to be picked up. Had to drag into the garage because they started next week. No notifications that Walters was starting next week ! Had to call. I pay for this service. No more.

I've had Walter's for years. I'm very satisfied with my service. Several of my neighbors have recently switched to Walter's.

Blatant sexism with a possible side of homophobia.

I will never use Walter's as my trash service. I live in a cul de sac and one weekend a man from the company was going from house to house to round up some business. I was in my driveway doing some yard work. My sister was helping me. I watched the guy from this company ring the doorbell of the man across the street, interrupt the yard work of the man outside right next door to me, and continue through the rest of the cul de sac. On his way out, he walked as far away from my house as possible and then started in the cul de sac behind mine. Did he skip me because I was a woman? Probably. Even after my neighbor called out his wife to talk to this guy he still didn't try and talk to me. Or did he skip me because he thought I was part of a nice lesbian couple? Perhaps. Either way, I would never do business with a company who sends out a Rep that is blatantly discriminatory. And neither will the rest of my cul de sac.

Terrible experience they missed emptying our cardboard dumpster on multiplication occasions and when we call on it they claim they emptied it and we're trying to scam them. Finally I had to install a camera so I can prove they are not emptying it. Very disappointed.

Constantly have to call them to pick up my recycling because they miss it

Two weeks in a row they removed the smaller beg from the top of the bin and left it behind with the side bag. It's not like the bags are heavy ether. It's takes just as much effort to move the bag then to just out it in the truck. Next week we will just pile everything on the bin with the lid open and see how that goes.

Great reliable service. Driver seems to go above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone within their service area.

Salesman flat out lied to me. Told me Walters was under new management, and they were trying to be the go to customer service waste hauler in our area, and that they would not raise the rate for 2 years. First year, no problems. This year they have increased the rate every quarter. 33 percent increase in 9 months. Customer service says they can't do anything, and can't help what their salesman say. They have no integrity, and follow unethical sales practices. I would cancel now, but they would fine me $200, which is more money than left in the contract payments. If I could afford a lawyer, I would sue them.

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. We've been Walters customers for over 5 years and we've always had excellent service from them. Every time I need to call, customer service is always very helpful, plus their drivers are really friendly. A few times, I've forgotten to bring my bins to the end of the driveway, and the driver runs up and gets them by the garage, which I so appreciated!

Missed my yard waste again. They picked up my neighbor's at 6:25 PM on the other side of the street. The driver came back down the street at 6:35 and drove right past my house without stopping. It's Friday and my containers are full! Not the first time that this happened. I guess I live on the wrong side of the street. It's now 6:45 PM Saturday and still no pick up. It's the holiday week and I know that the trucks were out today. Walters errors are not a priority to their customers.

Very responsive company. This week I forgot to put our trash and recycle bins out by the curb. In the afternoon, I called to ask if it was too late to do so. They sent a truck by my driveway to pick up our trash even though they had already been through our neighborhood. I really appreciated it because the container was pretty full. Thanks Walters.

Very reliable and affordable garbage service company.

Walters has a policy of 4 extra bags of garbage at no charge. Now, I understand that bending this policy for a customer would mean they would have to start doing it for everyone at their expense. I m not looking for special treatment, but I recently purged a few things from my house and had 6 bags extra. I watched our trash collector pass them up after he dumped our bin. Fine. So I went out, threw them in the bin and carted it across the street so he could empty it when he serviced the other side. He, again, passed it by. I did my best to accommodate him since I knew I was being a bit of an inconvenience. When I called, they sent someone back and charged me for a return truck. I rarely do this. I ve been with Walters for close to 5 years and this happened once before. Why not dump at least 4 of them? Or all of them and just add to the bill? Some reviews here said their man went the extra mile, which is something I ve never experienced with Walters. Once again, not looking for special treatment, but whatever happened to customer service??? I know that I am encouraged to go the extra mile for our customers at my job and it has locked in customers for life! Just saying Walters. I m pretty sure I m going back to our old recycling company. More expensive, but the service I got was totally worth it! I wish I never would ve switched!

Walters does not do recycling in Brooklyn Center. Switching back to Curbside Waste. The guy that came to my door said they do the same job as Curbside waste only cheaper. False advertising.

So far on week four, recycling has come once, garbage twice but on the wrong day. If your service is reliable, do not pick Walters, if you save money, you gain garbage and frustration!

I called on the 18th of October to pay my bill and the guy who took the payment only charged my account for $1. I didn't notice. So today they came and took my garbage cans, I called and they took responsibility for it being their mistake and they were sorry, but for me to get my cans back I now owe a late fee and the normal bill. Ok fine whatever but then I get home and the garbage cans are sitting at the end of my driveway. It isn't garbage day, and not only that you took them from the side of my house put them back where you got them. I mean it's already embarrassing to have them taken. Nothing like hiring lazy people. I'm sorry I wasn't going to leave a review but that pushed it over the edge. And it's one thing after another with this company. I will be looking for a new garbage and recycle service.

I call few weeks ago to get my yard waste going, I ask the rep if they could pick up my waste the next since it was Monday 2pm she said yes after making the payment, she decided to tell me sorry can't pick up block I asked her why she said because they are not allowed to do that
I'm going to call this morning try to setup my account again and hopefully I'll come across someone with good customer service that will take care this

I missed my garbage pick up two weeks ago because of a funeral I had to attend and this week I simply forgot to bring garbage can down. I called customer service to see if they could send a truck over for a fee to pick it up and they said it would cost me $50 dollars. I told them they were crazy and that I would call ACE and I bet they would have a can to me with new service by Friday. The customer service person said I'm sorry there is nothing I can do. I said good by and ACE is having a can delivered on Friday at no charge and is beating Walters price.

Hold service providers accountable they work for you. Customer for 10 years with Walters.

Not hapy with their service. Two weeks in a row of not taking my yard waste after making a call to correct this. I'll keep taking the bin out till they get it right.!

Walter's Recycling & Refuse has amazing customer service with quite possibly the friendliest garbage people in town.

I ve been with this company since 2008 and they are extremely considerate especially if I over fill my can. They even wash it in the summer. The pricing is consistent and the office is respectful.

They ended yard waste early without notification, and now I have bags of leaves and nowhere to put them

The customer service lady was so helpful when I had questions about my new recycling bin... She had such a respectful attitude. I'm so glad Blaine switched over. I would also like to add... Although Walters dropped off their recycle bins before the first of the year, they did not start picking up until after January 1st. Therefore if your recycle was dumped all over the place, it was the other company that did it.

I have been with Walter's for just over a year now and I have been 100% completely satisfied with their services. Paying my bill is easy and the customer service is always very friendly. The only down sides is that they do not provide service everyday (I forget to bring my garbage down on occasion so wouldn't that be great?!?) and the bill can be somewhat confusing to read. Thank you Walter's for the fantastic service, *high five* and keep up the good work!!

I was delayed in putting my trash and recycling carts out this week after the holiday which delayed our pick to by a day. When I call ed they were very pleasant and happy to send a truck back around to my home.

I was changing trash companies and they stated I was under contract, which I was not. Then they stated I needed to give them 30 days notice, fine. I was set up for auto pay and just paid my bill. Walters said with pre pay I would NOT be entitled to a refund on the paid months. So after many, phone calls I cancelled in September, but just had my cans picked up Dec 3rd. Would never auto pay if held hostage.

didnt tell me i signed a two year agreement when i signed up and told me they match any offer anyone made me. when i called about an offer they told me i was locked in my agreement that i didnt know about. pretty much told me to suck it

Two things made me give them a 5 star review.

#1 - I needed a dumpster. They have easy to follow charts online and I called and scheduled it that instant. They showed up on the scheduled day and removed on the scheduled day, 0 issues, and a fair price. Could not have been easier.
#2 - around Christmas and New Years, the waste removal timelines got all mixed up due to the holidays and weekends. I am one of the only people with Walters on my block and EVERYONE else had to wait multiple weeks for their garbage to be picked up. I'm talking until well after New Years. Their cans sat out there overflowing for days and days. Mine were picked up the expected day-after-normal both holiday weeks. I knew then I had made the right decision

Reliable, dependable, and accomidating with the unusual disposal issues ... That thing that just did not fit in the bin.

Very poor ethics. They will continue to raise your rates even though the cost to service your account does not change. Just got my recent bill and they want another $11. Last time I paid an invoice they wanted an additional $9 over the previous invoice. I will be cancelling my service today!

I have been a customer for more than 5 years and Walters has never let us down.

I used the public dump site. The corporate personel told me there is a minimum fee but if you have a small trailer and are coming back within the next hour to keep your ticket open and it'll save you money. I had two other ladies public site that shared the same thing. It did save me money and I had two small trailer loads for $45 since I used Walter as a service.
Today July 8th I had a different experience. I was told that you cannot keep your ticket open and that I would be charged the minimum for each trailer load. So you are penalized for having a small trailer. So a little bit frustrated with the discrepancy when three ladies told me that you can keep a ticket open but yet July 8th the gal said absolutely not, the three ladies are wrong.
So I guess the solution is hopefully you don't run into the one lady that charges you per load or just bring a big enough trailer that meets their minimum standard.

Walters has been very helpful, especially when i forget to put my cart out, they have been willing to come back around if they are still in the area. Friendly customer service.

Walter s has been our trash hauler for over 30 years. Other services have solicited our business but we have remained loyal to Walter s due to their impeccable customer service. Whenever a new neighbor moves in, we always recommend Walter s!

TERRIBLE!, City of blaine just transfered service to walters, boy, was that a bad move!!! They dont take the time to empty the cans correctly, recycling trash everywere!!! everytime my neighbors and i have to clean the street cause they dont do there job correctly!! all i have to say is wow!

Walter's Recycling & Refuse has always been dependable, and every summer they send their cart washing truck to sanitize our garbage can for free! I would highly recommend them for your garbage and waste management needs.

Extremely rude lady refused us service and told us they close at 4:30 when it's clearly stated as closing at 5. You can bet we won't ever bother coming here again and we are in the business of renovating houses! Lots of business they just lost. Would not recommend coming here to anyone at all.

Okay, I m sorry to have to do this because I really like Walters but when you drop the ball you drop the ball. Here s my situation:

I read a notice from Walters that they wouldn t be picking up yard waste the week of April 13th - 20th, as I didn t read any other notice after this I wrongfully assumed that the yard waste service would pick back up the following week considering the temp outside is 60degrees and there is no snow on the ground. Well I wake up on Friday to see my yard waste still at the curb with the bags of leaves that took me, no kidding, two full days to fill. So I think okay, I ll give them a call to sort it out. Well I ve called about 30 times in the past 40 minutes to get hit with a busy signal every time. To note, I waited until 8am, their posted opening time to start calling. Who has a busy signal in 2018? Anyway, if you don t pick up my yard waste that I pay for, and you don t answer the phone, well then you get a bad review. All you had to do was answer the phone or pick up my yard waste. That s it. I will remove this review if you contact me with a solution today!

I can't say enough about the great service we have been getting from Walters for over 10 years in Brooklyn Park. From the drivers to the customer service professionals they are great to deal with.

Today I called after the yard waste had not been picked up to see what the problem was. I had forgotten to pay for this added service and the truck had gone through over an hour ago. I paid over the phone and they contacted the driver to do a "courtesy pickup" for us. (we had a lot to pick up and I was dreading having to deal with it) They were back within 20 minutes to collect it!

Called to have a large washtub removed and scheduled it for our regular day. It was picked up and it cost just $25 which will be added to our regular bill. Easy and convenient! Thanks!

I would recommend Walter's recycling and garbage company to anyone looking to change. They have always been accomodating and friendly when I've called. They will give you one complimentary garbage pickup a year if you forget to put it out. I have used that service once each year for the last two years. I have been with them since the beginning of their business in our area.

Reliable service and friendly folks on the phone every time I call. Minus one star, because they seem to keep losing my auto-pay info.

Called them to start service after previous one became unreliable. Walter's sent me a can the next day. Picked up right away the day after that. No deposit for the can and 15$ a month cheaper than previous trash hauler. I live in Roseville area and would recommend them to anyone!

Originally I ordered trash service when the previous resident was moving. They said they would leave the old ones and swap them out on my first week of service. Due to a communication issue they took all the cans. Amazingly on a FRIDAY they arranged to have new cans dropped off to get me through the weekend, and then give me brand new ones on Monday (My trash service isn't until THURSDAY). The customer service provided was very personal and I really got the impression that mistakes like this are not common at Walters and was taken very seriously.

I'm a busy professional that has little time to deal with issues like trash service. I have had so many issues with vendors of various services in the past that don't care about the individual customer, so I typically don't do business with them. I can say now, with no reservation, I recommend Walters. If you live in their service area I strongly suggest you use them. You'll save time, money, and if you do have to call them you're going to get fast results and solutions, not apologies and excuses.

Nice staff N. Suburban location makes it close for me HOWEVER I roll up with 30Gal. of trash and the sign on the entrance say $50 Min Charge.

Service not bad, but management terrible liars. Started service at $54, not bad. Following year $61, 2 months later $74, 4 months later $84. After 1st increase, was told would not raise again for 1 year. Well several increases within a few months. Am now going with another service.

I have used all the local refuse carriers and I have had everything from billing issues to multiple no pick -up days to crappy attitudes etc but I can honestly say I use Walter s now, my bill is always correct, my garbage is always picked up but today was the icing on the cake, I think his name was Brad ( I hope I get it right) with the wet weather we had recently, the last leaf battle ended up with a heavy/frozen mess that the grabber couldn t handle, the bin slipped out into the truck, this employee climbed up into the rig and for the next 20 mins manually cleaned this frozen mess out. Had I not been home to witness it who would have known the extra mile he went. I went out with a pitch fork to help but he did 99% of it, we had a great conversation after. This guy and Walter s employees rock!

horrible customer service. Drivers will bypass Trash cans just because they feel like it. when they do take the cans, half of the time they'll leave lying in middle of street on side causing drivers to have to stop vehicles and move cans off to side of road. spoke with management and got the "oh well" speech. I miss WM taking care of our garbage and recycling needs.

At least 70% of the time they are unable to completely empty the carts. I have garbage, recycling and yard waste and a problem with all three. I would think they could at least ensure the carts are empty since I m doing all the work to get them to the curb.

Walter's customer for 3+ years. They have always picked up on time, placed the cart back where they found it, and have serviced my neighbors and I well.

Walters has always provided me with exceptional service! Customer service is always great and the best part is you get to speak to a live person, no call tree. Drivers are prompt and friendly.

Called to get new service.They gave me a price and I paid it in full.Service starts next month.I have not even had first pick up and got a bill for another $9 .Surprise not the price they told me.Will cancel service before it begins.Not a way to keep customer's before they even start!

I had Walter's for YEARS. I sent an email asking a few simple questions and all of the responses I received were short, unhelpful and SNAPPY. PLUS there were not signed so I couldn't call a manager to let them know the poor service I was getting from the individual I was corresponding with. I emailed Ace Garbage to ask my simple questions and was given prompt, polite and very helpful information. After living in my house for a decade I switched service. I couldn't bevel the terrible service I received from Walter's after all my years of paying them. AND my new service is cheaper!
