Excellent show. Excellent cast. Never was here before and didn't realize how small it was. But great show! Would definitely come again.

Great place for theatre lovers of all ages for reasonable pricing.
We always come to the matinee. Small professional theater. Enjoyable shows.
A gem of a place!
It's in excellent condition thanks to financial contributors and dedicated volunteers.
The performance of Matilda was brilliant! The theater itself has comfortable seating, and excellent acoustics and sight lines. Who needs Manhattan!
Saw the show Annie it was great ushers were very nice and helpful
Used to be regulars for off Broadway shows. No more. Got tired of same playwrights. In fairness, if you select a play you are interested in, it's great. A membership we found to be hit and miss with 50% we walked out at intermission. Some good some bad some very good.
I can't believe I have lived in Philly for ten years and this was my first time at Walnut Street Theatre.
The theatre is very small which means every seat is good. We had a great time.
Lots of history doesn't make up for the lack of leg room. Good acoustics tho'.
We were lucky to catch Matilda and were blown away by the performances!
Friendly and helpful staff. Able to see the stage from any seat. Sound system good.
Lovely cosy theatre, great views from every seats. X
Vintage, historic theatre that maintains good venue standards.
Beautiful little theatre, a warm welcome and highly polished performances.
Wonderful show. Great dancers. Loved Louise in the show.
Love every single play and the history behind the place. One of my favorite places to go in Philadelphia
Wow! Such an incredible theatre! I came to see "Mamma Mia!" And it was fantastic! The sound quality is superb and it is totally worth it. We had an incredible view and there is no bad seat. I would love to come back and attend more shows! All of the staff here were also very friendly and helpful. The seats are pretty small and you don't have much leg room but it's hard to even think about that during the play! Mamma Mia was a good show, however the cast was all white and there was no diversity. There were only 3 poc in the whole play and they were backup dancers.
Beautiful old structure well maintained. Service was well organized, pleasant, and helpful
Appropriately priced. Very entertaining. Great kids theater, too.
Great historic theatre. Original productions of classic shows and recent Broadway plays.
There are better venues for yhe elderly or disabled Seats too small, bathrooms built for one at a time use only
It's a fun, feel good show for adults. Great production! Superb singing, dancing and acting!
This place is great. It is small with good shows at great prices.
Great theatre with a wonderful since of history. Not a bad seat in the house. "Mama Mia" was terrific.
Took my granddaughter there to see a children's theater show. I go there and see shows on Saturday evenings as well
Great way to see a very reasonably priced play. Not a huge theater so all seats are good.
I have been a season ticket holder for 15-20 hrs and life the place and the shows and the talent, but I dropped this season for other reasons.
We absolutely love going to the shows here. The productions are very high quality. It is absolutely worth it to get a membership, so definitely consider that. The only downside is there isn't much legroom at all, but you get so involved in the shows that you don't notice it. The line for the women's restroom is of course very long at intermission, but there are several stalls, so it moves pretty fast. Again, absolutely love the shows. Definitely recommend!
Nice plays, but if you get on their telephone distribution list, they call you again and again even when you repeatedly ask them not to
Love seeing theatre here. You should attend today if possible!e.
Really nice theatre, not a bad seat in the house, roomy seats, clean and would definitely go again!!
Great plays and discount prices for season ticket holders.
Not a bad seat in the house. Great theater...lobby area a bit congested during intermission
Love the walnut. Not so much the show. Left at intermission.
The theater is small, but the performances are normally good and the staff is generally friendly. I have been allowed to move when the person seated next to me has strong perfume on that causes me to feel ill. There are a few actors that are seen in several of the plays in a season that are very enjoyable to watch.
Had a fun time at an amazing performance of Young Frankenstein. I got to share the experience with my fiance and my bestie. We enjoyed seeing the history of the theater from the pictures and descriptions on the walls. The theater was also very comfortable with the air circulating.
Our favorite theatre venue. We have season passes for several years. A great place to see a show.
This is a true American gem! It s draped in countless tales and interesting facts and has solidified is significance in American history. I believe it s the oldest running theatre in the country. Although the theatre is over 200 years old, the Artistic Director & Managing Director always bring a breath of fresh air to every show...while maintaining the integrity of every production. Your best bet is to purchase the season pass. You ll find it to be great buy. If you can t make a show or want to gift a show to a friend, it s very simple to do. This also guarantees the same seating for each show...very nice. The house manager Ang has been there for years and makes sure the house operates like a fine well oiled machine. I m excited to see what the future brings to WST, as they have an amazing plan in the works to build a theatre in the round next door...exciting!
Great seats all around the theater and awesome sound! Very enjoyable!
Have been a patron for over ten years now. What a great way to see Broadway quality shows at a fraction of the price, hype and hassle. Not a bad seat in the theater.
A great theatre with plenty of parking and a great location overall!
Matilda the musical was great. My only complaint there is very tight seating. Also they don't have a coat rack so all coats add to the lack of space.
Oldest theatre in America. Home of the Barrymore's. It is absolutely beautiful inside.
Great theater to see a play. Staging is excellent. Facilities are excellent. Acoustics are superb. Staff were friendly.
Always do a great presentation. Reasonable tickets.
Wonderful theater. Also, great theater school as well!
Show was disappointing the house was less than 1\2 full.
Great show,, we saw Shrek, the musical, costumes were amazing and so was the set. Very well done. Long play. Lot of actors
A small theater with friendly and helpful staff. The crowd is often an old one, with students scattered in between due to the large number of colleges in the area.
Always enjoy the theater! Funny show by Neil Simon this time.
Loved the price and the show Curious Incident!!!! I got to move up my seat too!!!
