Waldorf Astoria Chicago Review

One of our favorite hotels in Chicago... Have been coming here even before Waldorf took it over.

If you want to be overcharged for your stay to begin with and then charged that same amount 3 more times over the next three months than stay here. I will not because of this reason only. So I will not comment on the hotel at all.

This used to be my favorite hotel in the country, but they changed the lobby area (cafe) downstairs which used to be really nice. Also the bar here used to be amazing and cozy. Not the the new place is bad, it just does not have that same Chicago charm. Staff as always makes the place, they are great

Amazing service and in a nicely hidden but central part of the city

This hotel is truly wonderful. The customer service is unparalleled with every detail met with perfection. The atmosphere is upscale classic, yet comfortable and welcoming. Room service is quite good too. Access to the house car is quite convenient to be driven anywhere with a two mile radius.

There was a TV in our bathroom mirror. How cool is that! Our room was simply fantastic. My only issue is we did not have a room with a balcony. That would have been nice. Our room had a fireplace, soaker tub (AMAZING), fantastic shower, and many other amenities. I appreciate the customer service shown by all the staff, be it front of the house or behind the scenes.

My family and I have stayed here a number of times and service was excellent as always. The room was immaculate and smelled of new carpet even. It was very clean and well kept as well as being in a nice location.

I just celebrated my birthday at the Waldorf Chicago and had the most incredible experience. Jermaine and his staff went above and beyond to guarantee that our stay would be fantastic, from the beautiful suite to the wonderful car service, and more. My sister and I have been telling everyone that The Waldorf Chicago is by far the absolute best hotel! Thank you Jermaine, Charlie and the entire staff. We will definitely return!

This is my favorite hotel when I visit Chicago! My room had a balcony overlooking the city, with huge soaking tub in front of the window! Food downstairs, 24 hour room service, no problems!

My husband and I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria for our anniversary in 2018. Very nice suite. Premier Terrace King. We were politely greeted with valet service as soon as we pulled around, they also unloaded and took our bags to our room. When I called and booked the suite, I told them we were celebrating our anniversary, and a complimentary bottle of champagne was brought to our room shortly after settling in. The room has a deep soaking tub, a large shower (single, non adjustable head), enclosed toliet area (not too enclosed lol), and mini bar with snacks, mini fridge (too full to put any of your own items inside) and a nice size safe in a drawer above the mini fridge. Room service was quick and you have the option to pay cash or put it on the room. The room was surprisingly quiet, just hearing the occasional siren. I would definitely stay at the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago again and would highly recommend a friend to stay.

It is elegant and quiet. Away from the hustle and bustle ...yet steps away if you feel like immersing yourself...

Had to call two times to get ice. At least 40 minute wait 2 times. Ordered ice and news paper Saturday night for 9:00 o clock delivery, NEVER CAME.

The Waldorf Astoria is always 5 star quality. Beautiful place for your private events and holiday parties. Everything I ate was perfection in my mouth from the lobster to the sushi to the pastries. All the staff was very nice and professional as well from the valet to the servers, it was a wonderful experience overall.

Easily the best hotel in Chicago. Ask for a room on the south side for the best view.

We booked an overnight stay here with my friends and we loved the hotel. Our room is spacious and the beds are comfortable. I definitely recommend this place.

Luxury and iconic hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago. The staff are welcoming and attentive, greeting us by name on arrival and graciously refusing tips. Jermaine, Ernest and Ben couldn't have done more to make my stay enjoyable. From use of the town car, to making reservations and recommendations for local eateries, the level of service is offered is exemplary. The rooms are generous, and the linens luxurious. An in room balcony will keep you cool in summer, but for the true experience, come back for the winter months when the tree is in the courtyard, switch on the fireplace, and warm your toes.

Wow! What an absolute beautiful experience! We went on July holiday weekend and we're treated like royalty. The suite was extremely spacious much bigger than the room photographs. The decor was stunning, a true class act. Living room, fireplace, all thought through, even the use of technology of tvs inside the mirrors was a perfect touch. But mostly, the service was supreme! Concierge ordered a car to drive us to Navy pier and the next day they arranged our tickets on the ferry boat tour. We also enjoyed at their lovely spa and trendy pool on the rooftop! A+ hands down! An exquisite getaway!!!

Love the bar here. Cozy, quiet and some of the mixologists in the business. Great liquor selections and rare offerings you wont find elsewhere.

Honestly they are the top hotel in Chicago, no questions asked. The amenities are luxurious and the staff is truly top notch in every sense. If you're looking for a magical stay in Chicago book with confidence. Judson at the concierge desk and George in Guest Services are two of the finest hospitality employees I've ever met. Joey at the front desk was also wonderful to talk with and truly helped make my stay. Oh also find Floyd at the bar and get whatever cocktail he recommends, you won't regret it. This stay was worth every penny

Luxurious. Location is perfect: easy to get everywhere downtown by foot.

Nice courtyard. Cool bar. Comfortable super clean rooms. No tipping is a standard practice here which is refreshing and made our stay so much easier. They even went to Walgreens to get me a phone charger and gave us a late check-out. The hotel is understated elegance. If you are looking for a super wow or awe moment you might be disappointed.

Ir was still lovely, but the experience has gone down a bit. There was no clock in my room, the scale didn't work, and breakfast ended an hour earlier than advertised...forcing me to get room service for breakfast. The front desk agent was great about it and all, but they weren't even aware of the time change for breakfast.

46th wedding anniversary. The manager and every staff member we encountered were always outgoing and wanted to know if there was anything they could do to make our stay more memorable. A very special stay at the Chicago Waldorf. The restaurant was no less impressive. Phillipe, our waiter was knowledgeable of the full menu and an excellent waiter. Always impressed with Hilton.

If you are travelling to Chicago, do it in style and stay here. The staff go above and beyond with a supreme level of professionalism. This is my second stay with them and I will be back again.

Loved this luxurious hotel. The staff did a wonderful at making it an excellent stay for my friends and I. The cafe has delicious coffee and happy hour every day which is a plus. I would definitely stay again.

This is by far probably the nicest hotel in Chicago. The staff was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. They were willing to help no matter how large or small the request. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous both on the inside and out. We didn t get a chance to try out the spa, but I ve heard rave reviews about its quality. The upgraded us to a suite given they were overbooked, so we got to experience a higher-end room. The bed was very comfortable and all modern day and technological amenities you can think of were present. The nicest touch of our stay, the chauffeured us to our dinner reservations in an extended-base LS Lexus; WOW!

It is a stunning hotel in the heart of Chicago's gold coast. Our suite was gorgeous including a fireplace and a wonderful king bed. The service was impeccable and their staff was extremely attentive to all of our needs.

Went to brunch at the restaurant on the third floor margeaux (pronounced as mar-go). I ordered the stake and egg's and really enjoyed it. I tried their french toast and it was something that will definitely have me coming back.
