VPB Creekside Community Centre Review

Great variety of classes for kids and adults (yoga, ballet, hip hop, soccer, play gym), but the actual workout facility always seems overcrowded.

Went to the Vancouver Guitar Festival there, in 2018, It was perfect size for the event. Back in 2019, again it was a perfect venue for the guitar festival.

Central location and lots of gym activities happening every day

Pleasant view, good restaurants and lovely tech museum

This is amazing, went there for a coaching course and I wish my small town in the Cariboo had this!

Wonderful opportunity to enjoy sports and social times

Lovely modern facility near the water, but avoid unless you're within walking distance.

Great location for any active activities, indoor or outdoor.

Fantastic collection of spaces and rooms to accommodate various uses whether for exercise, classes or meetings when they arise through various entities. Very welcoming!

Amazing staff! Was running by and decided to check if my onecard had any visits on it. It didn't, and the concierge graciously said "here's a wristband, you can load your card next time" - I didn't even have plans to use the facility but ended up getting in a great workout in their lovely gym

I love the Iyengar yoga class with Terri Damiani. And The centre's front desk staff has always been kind , helpful, and informative.

Good but small gym. Had all the amenities you need.

Great staff. They are all SUPER nice.

They have play gym time for little kids in the afternoon on Tuesday, and Thursday, which my girls can't love any more. Great place for preschoolers to have play dates. Spacious, clean space with lots of light, and less toys.

Kettle bells! Outdoor patio good for skipping and slam balls. Cross fit inspired stuff. Strong women and men.

Great gym! Clean, modern and amazing view of False Creek. I have never had to wait for a treadmill and the outdoor patio for post workout stretching is the best.

My office rented out a room for an event, it was handled great, and there were no issues. Great room great service. But the other amenities I cannot comment on, sorry.

Great for hosting events and a great facility overall.

Was there for a private function so can only attest to the large meeting rooms with a scenic view as being fantastic.

Just got a bunch of new clean working toys for the open kids gym. Nice upgrade! Cheap, 10 drops ons for $10

Best place to exercise! Come and join aikido and kickboxing courses!

I use their gym facility on a daily basis. It is decent, everything works. Showering areas are very limited though.

My grandson is currently Dragon Boat training there. It is an amazing facility & you can do way more there than paddle. In addition there's childcare. Basically it's a recreation center that just has an aquatic feel. We've seen paddleboarders, kayakers as well as Dragon boaters. It's an awesome facility; beautiful view, a great atmosphere and reasonable that's the thing that struck me the most. Adults general admission is less than what it would cost me to go to the rec centre where I live.

Good place to work out. I visited whilst on my travels and there s a fair bit of kit here. Not the biggest gym you ve been to, but plenty of equipment, including a mix of free weights and machines. Limited cardio options at busy times. Gets busy as soon as it opens on a weekend, so the place has a nice feel to it. NO BROS during my visit, which is always an advantage!

Rec center is smaller than other community centers, but equipment is new and there is a beautiful view of False Creek. Also you can go paddling at this community center which is a nice plus.

Facilities aren't bad but the people there working aren't very nice

Amazing staff, helped me around as it was my first time there. The interior design is nice and modern with loads of space. Perfect place to bring friends just to chill.

The staff are very nice and helpful with deciding what s best for you. Specifically the front desk staff Ryan who is awesome and offers great customer service! The facility is located in a beautiful area which is convenient to get to by transit, walk, or bike. You can drive however the parking is limited. A whole variety of things that are offered, but the basketball gym and workout area is what stood out for me. Definitely drop by if you re in the area.

A well loved community centre built for the 2010 Olympics. It is relatively new compared to the other ones in town. Its location is convenient and looks out to False Creek. There s also a paid parking lot attached to it.
They have a comprehensive sports program especially for volleyball.
The washrooms though I feel could use a little bit more upkeep.

There is no place to play, basketball, football, volleyball, ping pong and more in this place.

The fitness centre is very small considering how many people live in the area. This centre is already surrounded by towers and the City expects another hundred thousand people to move into the area soon. Very few lockers, peoples' stuff was strewn about the entrance and taking up valuable space. Use the other facilities instead and enjoy the view from the massive lobby.

I was on the road and found a lot of people to exercise.

Not a lot of machines in the fitness centre but convenient if you work in the neighbourhood (like me). Easy to pop in before, after or even during your lunch break. Clean facilities and helpful staff. Lockers located outside the changerooms and shower stalls are small so maybe plan around showering offsite.

Lovely new centre. Very party friendly. The construction around the facility is tricky to navigate in a timely manner. Go up to 4th. Don t use Quebec street.

Bathrooms on the seawall are always much appreciated

Wow the scenic value is priceless. The staff are nice and the value is astonishing.

The staff is amazing, I had a mixup with my online room booking for a meeting I was having, and they totally saved the day and found me a room at the last minute. They were super nice about it too. Highly recommend the centre if you are looking to host a meeting, workshop or event.

Small weight training area with a great view. Surprisingly not too busy. The little lockers for your valuables right in the training space is a nice feature. Lots of different events going on in the building which gives it a nice friendly vibe. Very affordable drop in rate. Parking is terrible.

Has a lot of accessible programs for all ages and they offer affordable membership plans

I have been to a few small presentations here and the rooms offer a lot of natural lighting through the large windows which is really nice.

Very nice, clean, open community centre on the False Creek waterfront and seawall (great for running) in the Olympic Village. Good selection of programs, for all ages.

A good community center with helpful staff and well maintained facilities. Dragon boat practice and rentals take place here as well. Change rooms and lockers available. Although, beware of thieves as the many notices warn.

Fabulous community center, excellent staff, gorgeous views and an outstanding place to bring kids and toddlers on a hot or cold day!
