It's never fun being poked and prodded with needles, but if I have to go through it, I'd rather be with Marsha and Shikha than anyone else. Their sense of humor and sensitivity to the process is really great. Thank you guys for your patience and caring!
Staff are very friendly and professional. I am especially impressed with Marsha Perry and Shikha Arora who both put patient safety as their top priority. They patiently explained the covid booster process for the study and answered all of my questions. Wonderful individuals who treated me like a family member. Excellent customer service.
I signed up last November 2020 to be part of the J and J Covid -19 trial. I had never done anything like this before but the virus was spiraling out of control people were dying by the thousands and because of my age felt the need to do something.
From the first appointment everyone was extremely nice and put me at ease. I became excited to become part of the trial and felt like I could be part of the solution. I received the vaccine at the second appointment but truly had no clue if it was the real or placebo. I had a few side effects but nothing to indicate what I received.
I had several appointments for blood draws and to talk with the coordinator about any symptoms I could have had. Every appointment has been easy and the team coordinators are wonderful. I actually had some questions about the vaccine a few months later and the doctor who was the head of the trial actually called me and answered all my questions - Thank you Dr. Harper.
I was also interviewed by Maggie Newland from WNCN Raleigh about my experience in the trial and yes it was all positive and I really talked up the one dose deal! It aired in March of 2021 and I was interviewed again in August I believe and that also aired on WNCN.
This has been truly an unforgettable experience and I am proud that I joined the trial and helped in some way.
I wouldn t hesitate to sign up for another in the future. The staff and coordinators for the Janssen trial are wonderful and at our appointment yesterday we met some of the Janssen 5 ladies. You all rock and it was a pleasure meeting you!

My appointment was 11:00 to 13:00. I was called in from the waiting room promptly and back in my car by 13:05. Shikha was very pleasant as were all of the staff. Blood draw and injection were nearly painless.
I love being involved in a covid vaccine study at Wake Research! It s satisfying to feel like I am the tiniest part of the solution. Props to these ladies on the Janssen team Marsha Peery, Shikha Arora, Claudia Felzer, Monica Britt! You re all rockstars!

I participated in a study at Wake Research over this past year and have had a great experience!
