Architecture of building fascinating with design drawn from le Vau's Versailles. Three story Mansard roof complete with balustrade. Interesting helter skelter effect on tower balustrade. Site needs better directional signage for walks and also information boards explaining the architecture and the statues. That would boost my score to 5 stars.

Incredible place, not only its beauty and size but quality and history is second to none. Great day out. Make sure you book your house visit before you go if you don't want to be disappointed. No buggies are allowed in the house so if you have small children may be a rein would be ideal. They also have a childs activity pack too.

Visited for the Christmas experience. Staff were really friendly, good selection of stall holders and having a bus to take you up and down the hill was a massive help! Only downside was the food in the cafes was very expensive and not the best quality. Look forward to going back to your the manor itself.

Beautiful grounds. We only had a fleeting visit inside the house as couldn't go in with 15month old in a back carrier. Door guide gave us a hip carrier to use instead, but toddler too wriggly with this. If we had known this in advance we'd have booked differently timed tickets and had one person outside looking after wriggly toddler. Will go again.

Magnificent palace in the neo-Renaissance style built in the 19th century.
Its initial owner and responsible for construction, Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild, was a member of the Rothschild bankers dynasty.
Currently the Palace is managed by a family consortium.
The visitable interior and the huge extension of surrounding gardens, demonstrates well the financial capacities of its occupants for the time.
It should be noted that the Palace was the first dwelling with electrical power!
Visit highly recommended.

A fantastic day out. Dogs are welcome in most parts of the grounds, but you can't use the shuttle bus service and have to walk nearly a mile from the visitors centre. Extensive grounds with places selling snacks and drinks.

Second visit to Waddesdon and still feel like there is more to see (certainly the house as you need to book). Went with two boys for the Easter egg hunt, which was well thought out and had two age appropriate hunts. Gardens and walks are great and the kids play areas, although busy were super fun. As with most NT sites it would be great if they had drinking fountains.

Lovely place. Went at Christmas it was magical. Returned in the summer to look at the house and gardens.. It didn't disappoint. Think it has to be one of the largest houses I have visited.... Many many rooms to look around!

Waddesdon Manor has to be one of my favourite National Trust places. Their food and chilli festivals and brilliant and markets bountiful. Throw on a stately home and grounds and you've got a great day out.

One of the NT's best sites. A fabulous house and beautiful grounds. Excellent restaurant and kiosks serving a variety of good food. Only slight downside is that unless you are a member it's expensive to visit.

Lovely manor house and grounds, house, cafe and shop closed due to covid however the grounds are open for walking and there's an outdoor catering service to get hot drinks and snacks.
I was disappointed that all of the statues and monuments were covered up completely, as this ruined the overall view of the landscape, as its integral to the character, and obviously ruined photographs with looming clad objects, thst look like body bags! Apparently they're covered during winter to protect against frost, but perhaps they could remove those coverings now so people can see them?
As we paid the same price to enter grounds that you would pay to experience the entirety of what's on offer, it was a bit of a let down. However there are some great tropical plants to see and the daffodil meadow is beautiful.

We have been to Waddesdon Manor a few times now and we are enjoyed each trip. The last time we cam was during the Christmas market and it was fun for our kids and us. The light trail was really enjoyable with a warm cup of hot chocolate. I would recommend visiting Waddesdon to everyone.

Lovely gardens and grounds; shame that the mansion is currently closed. The shuttle bus is well worth using, as there is so much to explore around the estate. Sandwich selection at cafe is very limited for vegetarians - only egg & cress.

I have been three times in the past year. The gardens are beautiful the back of the house is stunning and I love that first look at the house when you pull up on the bus, it's breathtaking! The information in the engine room is great, don't miss that.

A fabulous place to wander around...be warned... a fair old walk uphill from the carpark during Covid times as the shuttle bus not in operation. Very much worth a visit.
Daffodil valley is extraordinarily beautiful !

This time of year for leading to xmas they have really pulled out the stops for putting so many more stalls on either side of the front of the house and the animation display on the front of the house is so pretty. This year is a real must for visitors.

It is beautiful. The gardens, the house, the aviary, the woods. We went to the fair and everything had been arranged perfectly from the parking to the circus displays. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Waddesdon Manor is probably the best National Trust place I ve been to - but it s also quite expensive if you are not a member of National Trust.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the house itself is massive. The Stables have a really nice cafe as well as some interesting shops.

A very good playground is located next to the Stables. Once again I believe this is one of the best National Trust playgrounds I have visited. Our kids really enjoy it every time we go.
