Fantastic location, remains authentic. Only the service at the bar was not good for the price of the drink.

I loved. I was there for the benefit of my grandson who is taking classes at the JBA
A great place to meet classics and modern opera. The interior is classic. The performances are of different sizes, but certainly interesting. The choir is always on top. The orchestra is red. Recommend !
The oldest opera theatre in Antwerp, a place to be if you like opera.
Beautiful building, great and expensive performances.
Friendly and helpful staff. Correct prices. We enjoyed Simon Boccanegra.
Carnival for the little ones in Opera Antwerp. A big party for small culture lovers. Live accompanied on a majestic grand piano. The princes and princesses have enjoyed it!
Opera House of Antwerp has a very authentic style. And a very rustic appearance
Great venue. Good opera depending on the piece and performers.
Atmospheric crystal marble
Beautiful hall
Friendly staff
Our old aunt still breathes the atmosphere of yesteryear
The pieces have been dusted and the company is not afraid to program less known work
Beautiful room in the heart of Antwerp, fantastic beautiful interior and also a super handy tool on the site when choosing tickets that shows you how your view of the stage is seen at your place
Very nice theater, I saw Lohegrin and they had an inflatable fungus in front of the door, very inviting.
The introduction was also pleasant
Phenomomemaaaaaaaal unbelievable what a beautiful performance ballet decor singing music chapeau .......
Magical place, top artists and beautiful productions.
A must see, nice repertoire, currently Don Carlos. Unfortunately, the tickets go down like fresh rolls, high prices, for average seats from 90 euros. However, it is worth going to the spectacle, the opera itself is worth visiting. The building is dazzling.
Medium-sized theater, ideal for opera, with very good acoustics. Usually modern but respectful assemblies. Uncomfortable seats, but who goes there to sit?
April 2021: Hier gepasseerd tijdens een stadswandeling. (maar ook dikwijls in mijn jeugd) en dit gebouw blijft prachtig.
The Antwerp opera is a beautiful architectural feat. Outside and inside it is a beautiful building. You can regularly watch opera and ballet from Flanders where this is a beautiful setting. During the break there is always enough space to stretch the bogs and have a drink.
Innovative and beautiful opera and ballet performances
expensive, but occasionally you have to experience this
Magnificent decor, pick your spot carefully (poor view of the stage if you're not strategic).
Nostalgia, modern designs too, free cloakroom, easily accessible.
A temple for the music, lie down on the red plush and enjoy until the sore wounds get too bad.
finally there are still beautiful buildings in Belgium
The reception staff know their job! The reception desk will help you until you are really satisfied. A beautifully renovated building with a decent room.
The building, the orchestra, the Venice, the magnificent singing, dance, enthusiastic audience, all at once !! An experience!
Nice play, beautiful building. Seats could be better, but they suit the building. Free coat storage.
World class programming. Perfect acoustics, even in the highest grades . Always true enthusiasts around you. Top orchestra. Jealous choir. Always friendly staff. In short, a warm bath for the opera fan!
During the break you have to stand with your glass in your hand because there is nothing to sit in and that is a great shame for the opera
Very interesting to view behind the scenes, but the workshops can only be viewed on special request.
Beautiful room. The places, however, are minimal, with not very comfortable folding seats. In the summer it can also get very hot.
Thank you for the answer. All understanding for your situation. I will definitely be back and look forward to giving you more stars after the changes!
stepped places through which you can see altyd and super acoustics
Had an incredibly fun tour with our group of people with disabilities. Fascinating and educational, but also very enthusiastically brought by the guide. Not a single dead moment when attention could slacken
Wonderful structure worthy of a Eurpean capital. The program of performances was excellent ... we saw MEA CULPA as a compelling modern dance show
Beautiful performance of Falstaff attended, in a beautiful setting! It is a pity that you have to bend a bit to see some parts of the stage because the hall is so high and narrow.
This opera is widely praised for its contemporary and progressive productions. But it really doesn't appeal to me! The singers are excellent, but the staging is often far-fetched. Why do the top posters always have to deviate miles from the original? Can there really never be a beautiful classical performance in Antwerp? Do we really have to go to Metropolis to see a beautiful opera?
The Roosevelfdplaats has changed nicely. It is easier to take the bus here. Hopefully the square in front of the opera will not be dumped by leaving waste.
Nice opera house.
Beautiful opera building.
This building is very nice but the smart ones are building a building at least 15 stories high on one side of the opera, It will be very beautiful.
It was difficult to find the entrance to the opera in the heavy rain. Bicycle, as recommended, parked on Keyserlei. There should have been a clear indication. The construction site is immense. That in itself is a spectacle!
Otello by Verdi - staging was not to my taste, but it was still worth a visit, especially because the program is very diverse
The new opera square is a gray piece of stone, no trees that can grow really big. One bare plain. The new lampposts in the square deserve the prize for the most ghastly lighting. Whoever designed all this should be fired. Why not a large traditional fountain in front of the opera in the same architectural style? Why not trees around it that can grow big? And why not traditional nostalgic lighting in line with the character of the building? This is one big disappointment.
Great for people under 26 yo. Last minute tickets are 10 euros
friendly welcome. very warm during performance. very difficult to reach by road works. not to come by car.
Beautiful, too bad that the top seats are a bit forgotten ..
Great old opera in the middle of a giant construction site! Nice staging seen from Wagner's Parsifal, but the seats are probably the lowest and most cruel that I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying in an opera house.
The productions of the Flemish opera begin to tone down ... Nice building and good location, but the contents are late for the third year in a row at desired ... Too bad :(
Bach Studies - Benjamin Millepied. Absolutely good.
Classy opera in a unique room, enjoyed it very much. Shame about the poor accessibility.
