Worst diploma teachers are teaching in this college, please do not take admission in this college for diploma in civil engineering, some of these teachers are doing partiality between students very badly, and some teachers are very lazy, please VJTI remove these teachers from your college

It's an autonomous college. Infrastructure is good but a bit old. College is very good, considering all perspectives. It is ome of the famous college in Maharashtra.

Vjti is one of the best colleges in Mumbai for engineering. There nine degree beaches , diploma MCS and post graduation and PhD student are aslo in vjti overall the college is good there is hostels for students there are so many event organise in college techovanza in one of them so if if some one opportunity to visit this college please visit it worth it

Best Engineering College in Mumbai and Maharashtra. We got lot of exposure & training. Teachers are helpful and good. All the students in our batch got placement. Few got double placement. All of our friends are at good position in various organization across world. In one word its Awesome.

Indiscipline staff, Attitude flows through their nerves. Damaged infrastructure. Air conditioner doesn't works. Wooden chairs in auditorium are in worst condition.

Topmost college in Maharashtra for any stream. No 1 college in Mumbai. Placement is guaranteed. very old but great infrastructure.overall a great college for engineering and diploma.

Simply, I loved this place...did graduation from this awesome institute...nothing I found out wrong

It's fun place if you are capable of it.
Not very much recommended for M.Tech (but campus placement is great)

Canteen is not so good but there are no other options in campus. Quadrangle is best place to sit and enjoy.

Office staff and non teaching staff is much more supportive than teaching staff. There are heavy regulations on what to wear and how to look and how to celebrate stuff.

Hostel not available for masters. Hostel facilities are okay. Surrounding areas are very costly for accommodation.

Campus is close to two stations, heavily crowded Wadala and moderately crowded Maunga.

This is one of the best college of engineering in Mumbai to study and practice various disciplines of engineering department. This is almost full accessible for disabled community students. They are not only good in studies but also excellent in cultural program sports Fest and social awareness program. Affordable fees great place with full of gardens and greenery.

I heard and know about this college. I wish to put my daughter here for this academic year (2016 2017). We are based in Bangalore. My daughter joined a university in Bangalore called Alliance University for computer science, but after opening in the college studies in August for the last one month the college is shut due the management problems and they are yet to confirm when they would start. I was wondering if your university would be able help us getting a seat for my daughter. Please revert as I am not able to find any other way of communicating with the college administration depart. VJTI as it is popularly known, is a landmark in the area. Was once a very reputed institutions of higher studies. However you dont hear much about it today. The present reviews give a different story. Its location is very strategic. Peaceful and calm. Huge campus. All facilities.

Very good review about campus placement but infrastructure needed to be improved.

It's Autonomous and very well known college for engineering established in 1887. Facilities are very good to guide you the path but you have to put your efforts to get most from them. I am doing my masters in software engineering so my review is based on what i have experienced in computer department.

Visit this college/its premises twice for annul fests 'partibimb 14' and 'technovanza 14'.
Premises maintenance was very good i loved that. i wish to be part of that.

The campus is not very big but a peaceful place with 17 acres of area with one cricket ground,open study space and one football court.

Building is not very spacious but historic and somehow,more old fashioned that you will come to know after seeing the design of gates and windows.

Mainly 3 entrance gates,one from Mechanical gate,one hostel gate(on the wadala road) and one Main gate(only place where you will read the name of college.
In terms of Education it's second college after IITB in Mumbai. One can get decent package from campus placements. But VJTI surely lags behind in case of infrastructure. Hopefully it is improving its infrastructure. one can also learn so many things other than studies.

It is the best engineering college in Maharashtra. The labs are well equipped. It has tons of events going on throughout the year right from cultural to technical including sports. Students! What do I say about them..
They are the best part of Vjti. They are just amazing in not only academics but also in various other fields. Also expect best placement offers here.

The college is good! But canteen isnt proper , no proper reading room for students and non cooperative management. The college is said the best just due to its name rest all is very bad.

I am an MTech Mechanical student in VJTI. So my review will be from PG mechanical student perspective based on my experience here.

Infrastructure: Firstly the infrastructure in mechanical department is poor and not in par with their private counterparts. However Comps IT department have very good infrastructure. The building itself is crumbling and shows evidence of its age. However renovations are being done now.Toilets, water coolers etc are very few in number. Whole mech dept has only 1 male and 1 female washroom.

Teaching staff:The teaching staff is also OK OK; thats because there are many contractual staff with no teaching experience.

Management administration :Management and administration is simply pathetic.Even for railway pass you will be harassed.If there is some correction or documentation to be done by them for you, they will make you run from pillar to post for signs or HOD, Co-ordinator and what not.

Placements: Placements is the highlights of VJTI. Its simply very good. BTech students rest assured you will land at least 1 job (except some branches like textile, production). Comps IT students get to sit for many companies that too of packages 6 LPA+.Mech branches have relatively lower salaries as no. of 6 LPA+ companies are less. Mtech the placements are similar to BTech but the number of companies are much lower. So packages will be of similar range but no. of companies will be much lower. So placement % for MTech is low. Only top students will land 6 LPA+ jobs rest regular and some will remain unplaced. MTech COMPS IT however have high no of placements.

Students: You will the best and most hardworking students here. Almost every student is a top student of their 12th college (except may be those getting in through reservations). Student are mostly from maharashtra. I have observed that the reservation divide is evident as sometimes the procedures are seperate for reserved and general students (for eg reserved student have seperate set of books reserved for them in library which only they can avail). So in a way the college (probably due to govt norms) induces divide which leads to groupism. Students form seperate groups and theres less mixing.

What to say ...its the best college in maharashtra for engineering government autonomous and teach ,learning over here is very very well but getting admitted to this college your rank in mht cet should be in top..

Because I got the chance to meet the first HUMANOID ROBOT SOPHIA At that place and overall also this college is really amazing

Management team of technovanza 2018 need to pull up their socks A LOT. A long queue outside of college is not a good sight throughout the day of your festival, especially Saturday!
My suggestion would be to have online registration (in case i missed any, publicise, your publicity team is supposed to handle this I feel).
From the conversation I had with one of the technovanza management committee id holder there was separate queue for ISRO event inside. Let's understand that people are coming from different parts of the city to attend some events of their choice and queue like hanumans tail at the entrance is BIG hindrance, bottleneck and turn-off.
If you want to be in the league of IIT Bombay, you have some major lessons to learn since their registration process and entry was pretty much seamless for me without large queues just a couple of weeks back (Techfest 2018).
I had been to technovanza long back in 2010 and it was a very good experience. I hope 2019 committee learns from this.

Great place for students to excel in their careers but as a government institution reservation is present and you will get to know while applying for the college.the canteen food is cheap and good ,it has two big grounds ,one basketball area ,and well known for technovanza as it is close to matunga one can eat their heart out
