Worst experiences I ever had in sales come from Vistek. Had one "Sales" guy basically leave gear that I had on pre-order in the basement for 4 months. After him and I had an altercation I went on a different floor only to hear him and his "manager" cracking jokes about it from across the room. Had another experience with a sales guy calling me up and telling me that his colleagues screwed up an order after he was the one who sold the whole thing to me. I don't need excuses or a monologue over the phone about why my order was delayed by a month. Had another experience where I got to watch a sales guy in the middle of a conversation walk away from me to go service some good looking ladies across the floor. This is all after I've spend not 10's but 100's of thousands of dollars purchasing gear on various shows. SO INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Avoid this place like Donald Trump or the Zika Virus.

Just terrible. Waited for over an hour just to pick up a rental that was placed a week in advance. Was incorrectly advised as to which equipment was required. No one apologized, no one attempted to rectify the situation. If you're on a time crunch or don't like to spend 80mins waiting consider renting elsewhere.

One of my favorite places to shop for camera equipment. They have four floors each floor is dedicated to a different purpose. Top floor is where I usually go for camera equipment and bags. I recommend checking the website before you leave because you can see if they have equipment in stock. Prices are reasonable although you can typically find Aden camera for slightly cheaper. However, vistek has a better return policy.

The staff at Vistek Toronto are super helpful. They really know what they re talking about. I needed some help with purchasing some video equipment and they took their time to explain details to me, and let me try out equipment with my gear so i know how it would work together. It s probably the best shopping experience i ve had.

I went down to the rental section after i finished up at the main store, and the lady there was just as helpful, providing me with detailed answers to the questions i was asking.

I love going to this store whenever i get the chance, always a great experience but today was probably the best.

Purchased the RAW upgrade for Sony FS5. Showed as In Stock on the website. Ordered it on a Saturday and on Tuesday they emailed to tell me it's back ordered 2-4 weeks. There's pages and pages of this complaint on other websites. Vistek is awful and just buy from B&H Photo Video instead.

It's your one stop shop for all your professional video and photography needs. It's only problem is it's expensive compared to their competitors. But the staff and service is excellent. If you are setting up your first studio, running a large event, or freelance and on the go with a need for rentals, this is your place.

This is the place to go if you need professional camera gear including printers, displays and lighting. The staff are friendly with experience to answer technical questions without washing it with something lame and obvious that you already know. Photo printing services using K3 pigment inks are very much recommended over a dye based you'll get at Henry's or Costco or Walmart.

Interesting thing happened. I left a 1 star review for this place [realy bad in store experience with unrespectfull cashier - see at the end of this review] and received a call from Vistek next day. The lady on the phone said that they saw my review and the cashier is a new guy and they will train him (I'm not sure how you train somebody to respect others though). She apologized for my experience. She didn't ask me to delete or change my previous review, she just called to apologize and ensure me that they will try to prevent similar situations. I DO LOVE THIS KIND OF COSTUMER SERVICE. I am giving them 5* now, but I still keep the 1* review. Therefore, as I have to combine these 2 experiences in 1 review, I give 3* and keep both reviewed here.

I was renting from Vistek. Placed the order, got a call in about an hour, confirmed the order and was told the total price by the guy from Vistek. Everything was well till then. Then I went to the place and was charged price double the one I was told on the phone. When I got to the rental place and said to the guy that a VISTEK REPRESENTATIVE CALLED AND TOLD ME THE PRICE (CONFIRMING THE PRICE FROM VISTEK WEB SITE), and the one I was charged now is exactly double of that price, the guy at the counter just looked at me like on idiot, and said "he was wrong. you have to pay this price". I said again that the price on their site, as well as the confirmed price of the guy on phone was half of what they want to charge me, got absolutely same answer. Nothing like "our apologies, probably the guy on phone gave me a disinformation". Just "does not matter, pay what I charge you". DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

My experience was great. I'm not sure how so many others have had such a bad experience.

I went in on a Saturday morning and started to look at tripods. Almost immediately one of the guys on the floor came over to ask if I had questions. Once I indicated I was just looking, he went back behind the counter, and shortly after another person came over to see if I needed help.

I then requested to look at a P&S camera and again I was helped without attitude. I kept playing with the camera and at no point was I rushed to make a decision.

Vistek had the tripod I was looking for which none of the other big Toronto stores carried. Their prices were also competitive. They had the 2 cameras and lenses I wanted in stock with only a spare battery being out of stock. The battery I ordered online and has already shipped. I couldn't ask for more and I'll be going back for sure.

Company took my SD card and lost it. Please don't trust them with your photos or anything valuable. No customer service to speak of, I don't think I will ever receive my card back. It seems that one of their staff who left may have stolen it or discarded it.

My favorite camera store in Toronto, and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are good, and I'd recommend them for any photographer looking to lease equipment too. The prices on some smaller items are more expensive than competitors, but generally the rates are quite good.

It was one of the worst experiences I have had for customer service. I needed some help to choose the right camera for me and I had done a tone of research before coming in on which camera to buy however I still had some questions. I was motioned to be more specific and he couldn't answer my questions and that I shouldn't ask the questions I was asking at that store. There was NO ONE in the store, it was not during a rush hour it was mid afternoon and I was ready to buy. I was made to feel insignificant and the staff member I talked to was more concerned about looking on his computer screen. This is not a good place for you to have any questions you are suppose to know what you want and get it. The prices aren't comparable.
