I worked as a service tech here at Virtucom. I would say that my overall experience was pleasant.
The company took care of employees when we had to quarantine by state orders even though I just started around that time so I am grateful for that.
The company is family owned and they are part of the management staff as well, to my surprise when the company reopened they even reported to the office like the rest of us.

My negative experience with this company is not due to the company but my bosses boss - Annie. Although I do not report directly with her it seemed like everything had to be approved by her and working for someone that you never see is not the best way to keep employees. If I had any issues with my supervisor, I normally spoke with Vicky or Jeffrey and those folks are kind enough to listen but I know that it should come from my boss instead. If my boss actually came to work I think that the services team here would be in a much better standing. A lot of times people get away with things because she isn't here. My final thoughts are everything with the service team is last minute and you really do not know what you are doing for the day until you get in and are told what to do. I would say the other units here are a lot more productive and go straight to work. I believe in working a full days work to get a full days pay.

Some of the staff here are quality employees. I hope that the company realizes that. I would hate for them to loose some of the folks that work extremely hard.

I wish nothing but the best to Virtucom. Thanks for the experience.

I am not a customer of this company but I spoke with someone by the name of Jeffrey who appears to be a phone operator at the company.
I was looking to purchase a laptop case for my daughter and printed on the back of the device was the company's #. This gentlemen informed me of the various ways to find / look up the model # and carefully explained that there were various generations of this laptop and to be careful when purchasing a case. At the end of the day, I was able to get the right case for my daughter at a significantly cheaper price than what I planned for thanks to Jeffrey. His level of customer service exceeds what I expect from an operator. Kudos to you sir.

I worked for Virtucom a while back for a short period of time and resigned for a better position elsewhere. The pay is way below the bare minimum of any other IT company. Their management team has no structure, everything is always done last minute. For a employer that requires hired candidates to have an A+ cert and start out at $13hr is ridiculous!!! This company has public and private school contracts with just about every county in the state of Georgia to only offer wages below $16hr. FYI, this applies to anyone that has a degree and other IT certification outside of A+ you get $13hr.

The various departments have really shown their true colors during this pandemic. Being a service employee, I know that we are working during this time. However, management has done a tremendous job in making sure we stay safe while at work. Many signs are posted to remind employees and it appears they are disinfecting the facility regularly. Even seeing a manager spend time out of his day to go through and disinfect really shows the caring nature of this business and the leadership team.

I will have to say that sales of all departments in the company really give off the impression that they could careless if there is a pandemic or not. All they want is for their greedy pockets to be filled with the revenue they earn from their customers. There is no form of appreciation nor have we seen their faces since the pandemic started. All they do is sit at the home safe and sound and rush the two working departments. I hope they realize that without us being here working during this time there would be no money in their pockets.

I want to close by saying that a pandemic helps bring people together because more than ever I find my self interacting with the other departments that is not mine. However, seeing the stress sales puts on Depot and Onsite service team is a huge disappointment almost infuriating. Rumor has it that EJ is the worst offender of all followed closely by his boss Lee who could care less about employee health and just want their orders to go out. They promised us a cookout and that simple gesture never became anything. Sales people are just good with their mouths and nothing more.

Huge shout out to the upper management to come to work with us everyday and making sure we are safe. Jenny is very firm on wearing mask and social distancing. Vicky our HR person is also extremely helpful and keeps everyone in check. That is something I respect!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Virtucom Family for making it as safe as possible during this pandemic.

Those I met or had interview with were such a great people. But if the company could speed up there decision making on wether a candidate is selected or not rather than leaving you in a limbo for months.

Keep up great work and it was an honor visiting your great company.
