I worked as a service tech here at Virtucom. I would say that my overall experience was pleasant.
The company took care of employees when we had to quarantine by state orders even though I just started around that time so I am grateful for that.
The company is family owned and they are part of the management staff as well, to my surprise when the company reopened they even reported to the office like the rest of us.
My negative experience with this company is not due to the company but my bosses boss - Annie. Although I do not report directly with her it seemed like everything had to be approved by her and working for someone that you never see is not the best way to keep employees. If I had any issues with my supervisor, I normally spoke with Vicky or Jeffrey and those folks are kind enough to listen but I know that it should come from my boss instead. If my boss actually came to work I think that the services team here would be in a much better standing. A lot of times people get away with things because she isn't here. My final thoughts are everything with the service team is last minute and you really do not know what you are doing for the day until you get in and are told what to do. I would say the other units here are a lot more productive and go straight to work. I believe in working a full days work to get a full days pay.
Some of the staff here are quality employees. I hope that the company realizes that. I would hate for them to loose some of the folks that work extremely hard.
I wish nothing but the best to Virtucom. Thanks for the experience.
