I was roped into joining as a rep a few years ago with this company. It is absolutely, definitely without any doubt in the world a huge pyramid scam. Thus making an industry that could have been good for people to make some money...NOT! The only people making money are the top 10-20 people that started the ball rolling and are at the top of the pile. DO NOT NOT NOT NOT sign up to sell OR to get energy from, it is an ABSOLUTE SCAMMMMMM!
Parent company of TriEagle Energy in Houston, yet unable to help with something their disastrous and ridiculous 'child' company cannot get right. Absolutely unorganized, with Customer Service reps who are obnoxious and rude and who really seem to be there for the exact opposite of assisting customers. Don't just turn your back on this company; rather, turn your back and run , as fast as you can, in the other direction. You'll save yourself headaches galore.
Total thiefs. Switched back to my primary supplier, went from .1373 to .0375 cents.
I can't understand why NYSEG can't advertise their rates. It would put these energy companies on notice or out of business.

they re-lock you with out prior notice for what ever rate they want, then there is a $100 or more fee to sign off, WHERE IS THE GOVERNMENT?
I was a independent consultant back in the days. I had a bunch of friends and family change their utilities to viridian and what a mistake that was. How embarrassing it was to have all my friends and family call me, to tell me they are paying more. Read the fine print folks, It sounds good at the start but they don't delivered as such.
This company is a complete scam, horribly manipulating, very sneaky and dishonest, completely takes advantage of hard working innocent people to steal their money! Do not ever use them
DON'T USE VIRIDIAN. Zero stars should be on option. Last months pricing was 80% higher on electricity and 25% higher on gas vs my primary provider. Viridian also failed to follow the fixed rate I signed up for as well as not providing notice of the renewal option of fixed or variable. I had to call them to get my refund only getting to the one person worth anything. They however have yet to refund my electric. Horrible company. I have filed a BBB complaint and reaching out to FTC. Stay clear of this company unless you like to throw your cash away.
Absolute con artists!! I've been with Viridian for 4 years. Someone I knew signed me up. The past few months my Con Ed bill went sky high. I couldn't figure out why. Con Ed told me to contact Viridian. I did. They guy I spoke with told me that my rate wasn't fixed it was adjustable. The gas rate was 83.1 cents per therm. Electricity 13.1 cents. Someone reccommended that I contact Constellation Energy they are less expensive. I did. I locked in for 3 years at 52.9 cents and 6.99 cents for 3 years. A huge difference. Not one person from Viridian contacted me to discuss my account. This is not what I do for a living. They have been ripping me off. Call Constellation Energy. Night and day!
Agree with all others! This is a SCAM avoid at all costs! They lure you in with a decent rate then up the rate and say you are in contract with them and if you try to cancel they have a fee! Do NOT sign up with this company!
i chose to remove them - the last two months they upped my bill by $300 each month in retaliation. hate em. hate my frat brother for getting me involved w them
