Cost of living not included in my August check. Called and waited forever to speak to someone. When I finally got through, the lady said she would Check and get back to me. Today is August 10th and nothing has been deposited into my account.

I called the last week of November and talked to Priscilla. She was not helpful at all. Not only did she give me the wrong information, which caused me a lot of extra work and worry over Thanksgiving weekend, she had a very negative attitude. It was obvious she did not want to help me. 1 Star for her. I talked to Ronnie today and he was more than helpful. I could tell he really wanted to help me. He took the time to look in my file and research to find the answer to my questions. Come to find out I did Not have to fill out the extensive paperwork after all!! So much worry over nothing. 5 stars for Ronnie. Averaged out total to 3 stars taking both calls into account.
I had a question about rolling over my retirement money into an other plan and Bethany was very helpful and patient. I was very happy with the service I got from the VRS.
Great retirement system. Never had any problems whatsoever. Very fortunate to have this retirement system. Unfortunately, there are people in the world that will complain about anything that pops up in their mind. VRS staff do an outstanding job.
I have been told now several times I didn't need to fill out a certain form whereby I would continue to get my health credit for years of service, because I was " already in the system".. All of a sudden I'm told I HAVE to have it ! Now I may not be able to get it because it's having to be sent late! It took me forever to get the form! This happens too much! I need reliable information and quick response!
I have been retired for less then a year and researched my retirement options with my over 34 years of VRS service in Law Enforcement. I have always been impressed when dealing with representatives from VRS.
Customer service is a joke! The email customer service provides very generic info that can be found on the website. What s the purpose?! The most inefficient process I ve ever experienced.
When I turned 65 and was in the hospital I found out that they terminated my medical insurance at the end of the month. I am disabled from a work injury but by birth year I couldn t retire until I was 66. They told me I was one of 5-6 people each year who fell into this crack and despite yearly complaints our Legislature didn t feel it was worth the money to close the gap, so for a month I only had Medicare.
My issue is not with receiving my retirement, which was completed as promised. However, the website still does not allow me to access my information. I have called multiple times and finally was told that it is a problem they are aware of for all recent retirees and to give them some time. This has been going on for several months. Seems like a large organization such as this should have the IT professionals available to fix this so called glitsch. Customer service is not very helpful
I had what I thought was a problem, called VRS and spoke with BEN who was FABULOUS! He gave me every pertinent piece of information he could have or I could have asked for. He gave me immediate peace of mind! Thank you, Ben!!!
