VINORAMA Review

You can easily spend days walking through the vineyards but if you want to taste you should call ahead. Most of the vineyards are small family operations that don t have scheduled visiting hours but may open their doors if you make a reservation. If you can t call ahead, fear not: the Lavaux Vinorama located near Rivaz offers local tastings and bottles for sale every day. I highly recommend a stop there for any wine lover visiting Lake Geneva.

A beautiful walk through the vineyards and several picturesque villages. The route is very well marked and maintained.

Little ambiance and received no extra information about the wine tasted. Would choose a wine bar over this destination.

Nice guided tour with a 45min walk up and down through the wineyards of Lavaux and a winefactory. Very nice guide, a lot of interesting information and six different wines to taste with some chips included. Some more snacks (cheese or local meat) would have been nice though, to accompany the vine. In the end there was an interesting video at the vinorama. There you can buy a great variety of local wines. Definitely recommendable.

Great tasting bar. You can buy wines from hundreds of local Lavaux producers. The tasting menu changes regularly to feature all the different local winemakers throughout the year. The staff was very nice and we could try many wines. You should definitely give it a go if you're passing through!

Good views but the tasting selection could be better.

Visited this vineyard showroom. They first let you watch a short film on life of a vineyard owner. It was very interesting. They would offer you both red and white for you to do the tasting.

But I fell they did not so it well, I guess maybe they just do not how to handle a big group like ours (more than 50 pax).

We were not able to taste and discuss the wine properly, it ended up with no one buying their wine.

I guess maybe in a smaller group the process could be done better. It was such a pity as I think it would good to support down independent wine maker.

They had an excellent selection of wines. We didn't do the wine tasting (I was driving!) But the staff were extremely helpful and discussed with us the various characters of different wines, patiently and in English, allowing us to make some excellent wine choices. I would strongly recommend a visit if you are thinking of buying some wine from this region. As a bonus the views of the lake and mountain are excellent. I would also recommend taking in some of the Terrasses de Lavaux walking route through the vineyards.

There is a great panorama point about 15 mins walk from the centre.

Beautiful view. Really worth it to make a pit stop.
