Have enjoyed several visits. Food and wine selection are nice. We will avoid weekends with live music though as it is too noisy to hold a comfortable conversation.

I didn't think I'd ever rave about "mushroom soup". Vincitorio's changed that. They have the most delicious Mushroom Soup I've ever had in my life. Good enough to make a meal out of it.
We have been going to Vincitorio's for years. We recommend it to all of our friends and family. Great homemade style Italian food.
Great place for the lunch buffet. Three small helpings. Sorry, I did not get the names. I was too busy enjoying the flavors.
My wife and I met some friends at Vincintorios for the once a month special entertainment dinner. The entertainment, "Dueling Pianos" was enjoyable but the voices of the male and female piano players was atrocious. They played for over two hours of oldies at a volume level that did not allow conversation with others in our party without shouting in their ears.
The sound system was shrill and did nothing to enhance the horrible voices of the duao. It actually exacerbated an already terrible sounding performance. The female singing piano player was monotone and sounded like a duck. What they need is a sound system that enhances the voices and artificially expands the range of their voices. That along with the employment of a program called "Perfect Pitch" which when used in the audio system artificially modifies the sound of the performers to expand the dynamic range and keep the augmented voice on key. With out this I would never go to this place again especially when "Dueling Pianos" is performing there.
The seating was long wedding style tables. This might be good for the management to pack the house but terrible for a night out with friends. Nothing worse than sitting with friends shouting to try to have a conversation with total strangers sitting shoulder to shoulder to you. No private conversation possible. The place was packed, the music was loud and off key the entire time. The irritating voice of the female entertainer sounded like a duck being played like a bagpipe. These people need new voices. I am sorry but only a friend will tell you if you have a booger in your beard.
The food was good adequate not great and the portions were fair but nothing to write home about. The prices were average and the service was great.
I will not be going back there soon, perhaps never. The whole thing is overrated.

Got a pizza to go. Was ready and hot at promised time and not much more than chain pizza. Was excellent ..
The food was incredible! Probably the most authentic Italian food I ve ever had. My husband has been to Italy and he agrees! The service was amazing! We will definitely be returning!
italian food and the setting at this location is great.
Exceptional in every detail. The food & service are a cut above.
Hoping for a decent Italian meal, all we got was fake meatballs and sauce that looks white instead of red. The staff doesn't even seem to care about the food they serve, couldn't tell me which was the best meal
Went there to celebrate our anniversary and just kind of left feeling "meh". It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Had to request to be moved as our initial table was set next to some extremely loud people that are apparently friends of the restaurant with preferential treatment who can just let their kids do whatever and disturb the rest of the restaurant. Because we asked to be moved....and we asked super nice....we were kind of treated with an attitude after that. Two other couples had the same experience and had also asked to be moved due to the unruly patrons. Server was not engaged at all. The busser was a sweetheart but he was the only friendly service we encountered. I have to say the bread was good. Rest of the food was mediocre...just average. Not a place I would go out of my way to return to. There are plenty of other restaurants with better food that treat their patrons a lot better.
Real authentic Italian cuisine. I have been here a few times for special occasions and the food never disappoints.
It gets pretty busy so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time.
Their wine selection is pretty amazing. I recommend chasing Venus. You can also purchase bottles to take home and on Wednesdays they have a buy one get one 50% off special!!
Large portions, great flavor, and a friendly staff. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town.
This is our second visit as we try to eat at an authentic Italian restaurant for our anniversary. This year we were a bit disappointed.
I had the Salmon and Shrimp Vincitorio which was perfect, except for the shrimp. The shrimp was well over cooked, very dry and crunchy. It needs to be moist and snappy. The fettuccini noodles we're perfectly al dente and the Salmon was spot on. That shrimp though.
My wife had the cheese ravioli. The dish was very acidic and had a vinegary taste and feel. Something was missed.
Our server didn't know the wine selection that well. While she was very attentive, she seemed off.
The staff at the front could have been much more warm and welcoming rather than quiet and stoic. While they performed their tasks well, they just seemed unattached. They tried to seat us in their back room that had a very large and loud party of at least 14 people. We were looking for a nice quiet anniversary dinner. We declined that location and waited for another table. The second location was perfect.
The lobby area in particular could use a good cleaning. The tops of the shelving units, decorations, and chandelier were very dusty.
Overall, an average night. This is unusual for this establishment. Hopefully just a one-off.
So pretty, great service, AMAZING food, delicious wines. I will be returning again! And I highly recommend it to anyone.
If you've never been, go!!! It is amazing. Great service!
Awesome Italian! Impressed and will be bringing the whole family next time.
Finally real Italian food. My wife and I went for our anniversary tonight and were both very very pleased with the food, staff and atmosphere. Highly recommended!!
So so almost like Olive Garden, no salad forks for a fancy looking place, was told 15min wait or seat ourselves in the bar that was totally full to capacity, was awkward, decided to leave but they were kind enough to run after us and seat us in a romantic outside dining area.
Service was excellent, ambiance good, but the food was incredibly bland. Had the Fried Mozzarella sticks, Calamari, and the Fettuccine Pomodori Secchi. I wanted to like it, as I had heard good things from others.
Mario and Ginger know how to create a wonderful ambience and delicious authentic Italian. We love it!
Lovely Italian restaurant that is always kind and willing to go the extra mile for their guest. Located on McClintock and Elliot it prides itself for being the Italian family restaurant of Tempe, and I honestly can t disagree. Full and eclectic wine list with tasty Italian dishes to righteously pair, any selection you can not go wrong.
TIP: yes, their bottles of wine can range up to $500 a bottle. But there are some affordable palate delighting bottles such as the Urlo (Scream) a red blend (pictured below).
I had the cannelloni Rossini - I would rate it 2/5. It was edible but very bland. My friend had the cavatelli al forno and it was a 4/5 - the only reason it wasn't 5/5 was because I've had better meatballs elsewhere. However, we sat at the bar and the service was great. Half price wine and the bartender was phenomenal.
Food was great! Waitress was wonderful! Would recommend to anyone. 10 of us were dining and all the dishes were fresh and delicious!
To be fair, we did take out so cannot adequately comment on service. Atmosphere appeared very cozy with a full house of diners in a woodsy setting.
Wife thoroughly enjoyed her spaghetti bolongnese while I equally devoured a excellent chicken Parmesana. Finally, an Italian chef who provides a thick, tomato chunky sauce with hints of basil/oregano/thyme. Not the normal soup so many feel is authentic Italian.
Provided were Caesar salads and bread.
Looking forward to visiting in a sit down mode.

Known Mario for 25+ years. Constanly innovating; now better than ever!
I made a reservation for 7:15 pm and that didn't matter... Not at all! People arrived who knew the owner and were seated immediately. My husband and I waited 45 minutes before leaving and enjoying our date night at another restaurant. They have the worst customer service and could care less about making sure that a table is ready when a reservation is made. I won't go back.
The food was great and the ambiance was even better. They have a guy who can play almost any song on the accordion.
Tasty Italian-American fare, nicely decorated, friendly service, owned by people not a corporation. This is our go-to family restaurant. Great place!
Great atmosphere, good food. The tables are very close together, but it's a nice time.
Amazing Service, All homemade with fresh ingredients. It's hard to beat that
Great place for having a dinner, very polite service.
This place is fantastic. We found it almost by accident, thinking it would be some little hole in the wall. It's a nice, legit Italian place! Deceptively big, too. Great for large gatherings. Authentic atmosphere, great food and service. Whatever you do, GET THE TIRIMISU. Best you'll ever have.
Great food, but the live entertainment didn't allow for much conversation with my family. Also, constantly smell of something burnt? Still, would recommend it at the very least for to-go orders!
This place is awesome great food great service great atmosphere
They have a great lunch buffet with salad and 3 pasta dishes.
Mama Mia datsa gouda fuud. The real deal. Family owned and authentic Italian dishes with Italy all over the place. Quality live music...my favorite is Wednesdays with guitar/singer, Sarah
Friendly people nice atmosphere and very very good food. the owners are always there, working hard and having fun. They are generous with the wine pours and if they are tasting a new winery they like to share! I must go back this week!
We have visited to celebrate Anniversary dinners with several dear couples. The handmade pasta is exquisite! The Pesto sauce is the best I've ever eaten. And, the warmth and charm of the Owner, Mario makes for an incredible dining experience. Did I mention they have live music too!
Not a place for a romantic evening. Food was lackluster. Had the Al Torte Pesto which is a chicken, pesto and red pepper dish. Somehow, in a dish swimming in pesto, the chicken was dry and bland. I had the chicken parmigiana on a previous visit and that was also bland and dry. Its a very poor choice for Italian food.
The lunch buffet will bowl you over! Great salad and 3 entrees served with garlic bread until you pop. The best sauces and imaginative choices you can find anywhere in Phoenix, hands down.
Fun place to celebrate. Good food and portions that could be shared.
The aubergine pa Parmichiana excellent very exquisite. The chef without a doubt. Well Italian doll.
Great Italian food, and good atmosphere! Only complaint from group was veal was kind of tasteless, but sauce and spinach on top was delicious!!!!
After several different times, lunch and dinner, eating here, it was past time for a review! The food is fantastic, particularly the lasagna, and the service is even better than the high bar I'd set for a local, family owned restaurant. One example: the servers wait until everyone is done eating to clear plates, something that is done only in the best of places, it seems; most places are eager to clear off your plate even before your fork hits the plate from your last mouthful. Marcie does a great job, and it's always fun when the owners come say hi. Highly recommended.
Honestly, two stars is being generous. At the time I went I was craving Italian and found this place with a rating of 4.5 stars. The only thing I can think is that either the normal clientele are too drunk to know the difference, or they have paid for fake ratings. In short don't eat here. Ever. Can you say Kitchen Nightmare? Even if you are a bad cook, save your money and cook at home rather than eat here. For a more detailed review keep reading.
The service was fine, since the place was empty. There was only one other table to wait on. I don't know what it would be like with a full house. The tables are so close together that even the skinny little waitress hurt herself trying to slip between two tables while I was there.
They brought bread to the table, which was store bought hogie buns that had been cut up, and bathed in oil and some Italian seasoning. I found this odd that for a place that has price tags like the ones on this menu they would cheap out and not even bother to make their own bread. Many cheaper places make really nice fresh bread.
The recommended appetizer was the calimari, so I ordered it and was quickly dissappointed. I was told this was the best appetizer on the tattered old diner menu, so I am thankful I didn't have to try one of the worse ones. It was obviously ordered frozen, and thrown into the frier with no additional prep or seasoning. The "spicy" marinara sauce which was supposed to be made in house turned out to be store bought marinara (not even the good kind) with a pile of crushed red pepper flakes dumped on top. The kitchen staff was so lazy they could not even be bothered to stir it in.
My partner inquired if the Italian dressing was made in house, to which the reply was in the positive. The salads came with what appeared to be cheap store bought Italian dressing. I knew then that I was in for an exceptionally horrible meal, and I was delivered exactly that.
I ordered a ravioli carbonara, and my partner had ordered chicken marsala. My partners chicken was way overcooked and smothered in a greasy brown mess. It tasted about like it looked. My ravioli may have been fresh at some point, but had since seen better days. The ravioli stuffing was gross, bland, and had a grainy texture. The sauce, I cannot even describe. It was more like a soup than a sauce (Probably to mask the flavor of the ravioli) and the dish was served in a huge bowl filled to the brim.
I am convinced that had I not sent our meals back after the first taste we would have both been suffering from severe food poisoning. Thankfully we came away with just an upset stomach and a bad taste in our mouths.
I almost hate to review it bc it s hard enough to get in sometimes!! That being said, this place is incredible. The food is out of this world. Homemade pastas and seriously some of the best pizza in town make this place my family s favorite. I ve been to Italy and this is one of the only places to hold up after that trip. The food alone is a reason to make a visit, but I also have to mention the superb service as well. These people treat me like family. Marcie, Ashley, and Cody are warm and friendly and also professional and efficient. They are quick to greet w a smile and your drinks hit the table immediately. Italy in the Desert!
It's Vincitorio's ! What else can you say but excellent ! Say at the bar as usual and got top notch service. Love this place.
I've been here twice so far and I still have so much more I want to try, including the lunch buffet. Ambiance is great and relaxed, service is quick and friendly, and most importantly the food is spectacular (we get seconds of the house bread!). Be sure to try an item from the dessert menu!
The food was really good and the customer service was awesome.
Horrible food and service, took an hour to bring out my salad. Food tasted as if it was microwaved.
Amazing home made pasta and specialty dishes. Extensive wine list and cozy decor. Reservations are recommend, this place is popular.
Every experience eating at #Vincitorio's is amazing! Even the calamari was Perfect!
Very disappointing!! Waited 30minutes past our reservation time. Ordered veal parmigiano which isn't an unusual request for an Italian resturant when its not listed on the menu. 20 minutes later, After appetizers and salads the server comes back and says they are too busy and the chef refuses to make the order because they are just too busy. I was told to order something else. The server awkwardly repeated multiple times throughout the dinner that they are just soo busy (sounds like they don't want customers to me) When the bill came I was charged extra for Angel hair pasta instead of linguine since it's "imported" from France. (I'm calling bs) Definatley not going back since they are too busy to care about their customers.
My brother lives in Italy 6 months out of the year we had lunch here when he was in town. he said the cook must have just come over from Italy
Great happy hour deals! Good wine, good food, good atmosphere!
The food was so incredible!!! I was there for my friend's bachelorette, and I was so pleased by each dish served as well as the dessert! I must say though, that the butternut squash Alfredo was so DELICIOUS. I loved everything about Vincitorio's and will definitely be going there again!!!
Great food and drinks. Very comfy atmosphere and quiet during the day which gets more lively in the evening. Large wine list.
This place is awesome. Super comfortable Italian restaurant in South Tempe. Good food, good wine, good people. Their lunch special is the best deal around, for sure. It's like $10 for an amazing buffet.
Their normal lunch and dinner menu will never disappoint, either. The pasta dishes are great. I'm a pretty big fan of their salads, too. Oh, and the gnocchi. Don't forget the gnocchi.
Actually, just try it all. You'll like it...
A little pricey for the quantity, but very good, the desserts are great as well.
The food is average, but the service is below average. Both times that I visited this restaurant, it took a very long time for our group to get the check. Fearing that we'd be there for an extended time today if we paid with credit, we all dug through our purses and rustled up enough cash to pay without requiring change.
The waiter did not ask clarifying questions about the sandwich orders for two gals and they were disappointed at the lack of toppings that they would have added had they been asked. The after dinner coffee was cold.
It's really disappointing because, with the live music and pleasant atmosphere, this could be a really nice place to go.
First time to Arizona from the Pacific Northwest and was told we HAD to eat there. We went on a Wednesday with a group of 6. It is a great, dimly lit setting that is ideal for a date night. Ample bar size but more importantly, half off wine on Wednesday s!
The food was phenomenal. Their red sauce on the lasagna is to die for and had us asking for extra to take home with our leftovers.
Entertainment for the evening was live music by Sarah Vanell. Best live music I ve heard, great vocals and had a wide range of music. She was engaging and made the venue that much better.
The owner came out towards closing time and ate a meal with friends, so extremely friendly and humble.
The best part of my 5 day trip to Arizona, would gladly go back!
Delicious italian food....gnocchi was just alright.
This place is absolutely awesome! Super comfortable and relaxed. Both our server and BUSSER(!?) were amazing and legitimately knowledgable. Seriously. My wife had the pork special and it was tender, rich, and had an INTENSE umami flavor, if I may be so pretentious lol. The only reason this place gets 4 stars is because the seafood in my seafood pasta was pretty overcooked. But the homemade pasta was delicious and the sauce was perfect! We will ABSOLUTELY be back.
Nice Italian restaurant w/ great variety . Great food
Lousy service nasty food. Took twenty minutes to place my order to go and when I got there it took another ten for someone to acknowledge me so I could get my food. Got home and it was a sloppy unappetizing mess. I'll never go back. So sad cause I'm hungry and everything is closed now. Here is a picture of the mess that they pass off as lasagna. Yuck. That was a waste of my twenty bucks.
