Rooms were bad. Water was coming into room from the bathroom. Swimming pool was slippery and it had lots of insects.

Great food staff and place. Pool concept is amazing. Read a few issues about unclean pool but they have water quality records updated on a daily basis from a third party and it seemed to be fine. Used pool and many sports. No reaction to water. Recommended stay! Truly a resort feel.

Villas maintenance not good. Cleanliness is very bad.

Nice resort in Chennai. Good food and ambience. Has a lot of recreational stuffs like rope glide, shuttle, carrom, table tennis, now and arrow, swimming pool, dirt bike etc. But, the price is really high for the space they have and the room is also mediocre. So rated 3 stars.

Quiet place to relax. I stayed in the resort for one night with my family on 14th and 15th of July 2018. The property is huge and well utilized for fun during one's stay. The resort is really good and very clean rooms, clean wash rooms, Sumptuous complimentary breakfast. Good swimming pool. Over all a very good choice to relax with family or friends.

This place is the worst resort I have visited.never come here.its better to live in a hut itself.the cost also is at a high range.the adventure place is too very boring and dirty.the cleanliness is also not mentained.service is also very bad.Really not satisfied with the place according to the high rate

Best service, massive pool with large comfortable rooms. The staff are very polite and courteous. Veg food provided is tasty and unique. Play area is large with more activities. Loved the experience. Resorts in Mahabalipuram.

Good location with direct pool access from some of the rooms.. the rooms could be better maintained though as our room was musty and was smelling damp. Food though limited was good, tasty and safe for the stomach

Their food was good. We came to know about this resort through online. Rooms are not so clean there is smell of rats. Swimming pool was not well maintained. And the main thing was they don follow the information details given in online like makemy trip trip advisor.. We booked as day outing for 11 members online they mention a villa but we get a double bedroom for 11members each everything we showed them as you have mentioned this in online kindly check.. Too bad on that..

Great DESTINATION
We spent 2 nights at village retreat.
Location is lovely with a massive swimming and well maintained... which is a great place to be in the evenings.The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Housekeeping service is good. Food was delicious with a very vast menu. Buffet breakfast is super. Reception staff too is very hospitable.
Overall I highly recommend village retreat as a preferred destination to stay in ECR.

Excellent functional value for money
The thing I like most about village retreat is the warmth and friendliness of the staff. This resort have all the important facilities like pool which is clean and large.best of all is the personal and their extreme passion for service and pleasing you.

Had a great time with family. We went as a group of 15 and the swimming pool experience was awesome but some indoor games and outdoor needs some maintenance. But the food and overall experience was really good and enjoyed !!

The rooms are amazing with back door entry directly into swimming pool. However all the room are having a common pool only. Don't opt for villa stay as it is not great. So, go for only rooms with swimming pool.

Village Retreat Resort is a massive property which has a restaurant, swimming pool, gym, bar and conference hall
They offer two types of rooms for stay - Normal Rooms and Villa. Normal Rooms is more of a basic room and Villa are superior rooms
We took a Normal room. The room was spacious, has a small balcony attached to the swimming pool, a queen bed, cup board and a modern toilet
The staff were very courteous and the service was wonderful. Overall a very satisfying experience.

Very good staff. Good for children and family for weekend trips. Suitable for people who eat Jain food. There are many outdoor activities also.

Nice place for bigger families to renunciation, water sport lovers. Decent food, courteous staffs. Can improve in agility. Overall good place for family outing, breakaway from monotonous city life.

Resort is 1km away from HIGHWAY and the approach road is pathetic.
Only Veg & Mainly North Indian. Hardly could see South Indians. Exception will be Break fast. It was typical South Indian.
Require water absorbing door mats as pool is linked to room.
Service could be better

Awesome Swimming pool linked room. Didn't almost 5 hours in pool. Privacy was there. Unlike open pool.
Kids Entertainment was there but limited.

The hilights of the place are the the beautifully lush cricket field, good variety of outdoor experience and the unique pool arrangement which makes you feel like it's some sorta private pool! Wish they serve better spread in their buffet with non-veg options as well

Village retreat should be visited for the location itself. It takes you away from a polluted atmosphere to a completely different green world. Concept is very peaceful, serene, enjoyable, fresh and Amazing. Though pool and adventure games are unavailable due to Govt restrictions because of pandemic this place has enough to entertain adults and kids with the location itself. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Service was amazing and the model of rooms is too good. Thank you! However there is no kitchen available in resort but food will be delivered from a nearby hotel.

It is a great place to be with your family and friends. Have a lovely day with awesome vegetarian food and snacks.

Customer service at its best ! Lakshmi was engaging our kids while we had our food. I highly recommend LAKSHMI s promotion in her designation.

Food was bad.. there was a iron bolt in the paneer gravy and restaurant manager was very itresponsible

You can go for a long walk in the late night and the environment is just so peaceful. The room is very good.!

Firstly , those who made this place forgot about MAINTAINING it.

Dirty Swimming Pool, Bathroom mirrors in which you can't see your face, a Chef who forgets to put SALT in 3 out of 15 dishes , They can't afford to wash towels in a detergent , They can't afford to get you an extra soap for handwash( they expect you to use the same soap for bath and handwash)

Secondly, Its an entire waste of money and peace. The Air Conditioners are not even serviced and they make so much noise and vibration.

One of the horrible and bitter experiences we had at this resort. We went as a team of 18 people and our bad experience started off with the welcome gesture and then it continued to stay persistent with food and courtesy they have offered. This resort is not truthfully as green as it is being depicted on the online promotions and they don t commit to whatever they assure us. They change their stance radically as per the situation and especially they try to exploit especially during the billing time. Breakfast was not good, Dinner had limited options. The online google rating is all faked up and they don t even deserve 1 rating. They cheated and sucked up our money to the tune of INR 6000 without even serving lunch. To all the folks who are considering this resort for any of your vacation planning - Kindly deselect this resort out of your planning and save yourself from a great suffering.

Good resort with every rooms having access to swimming pool. Also has some exciting thrill games. Good for vegans. But visitors need to enquire about the games and thrills, otherwise you wouldn't know about it. Also please bring swimming ballons for kids.

Good place, good food, friendly staff and value for money

We have stayed here for 3 days in the month of may. The stay experience is awesome. We enjoyed our stay a lot in green meadows. All the staffs are very helpful and friendly. Food quality is good. Its a memorable stay for us.

Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms with relaxing seating area outside the room. Very humble staff. The room service was fantastic and the food was great. swimming pool is large and clean We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this resort to other travelers.

We booked this in the last minute and were pleasantly surprised with the rate offered though it is situated on the ECR.
Very friendly and responsive. Decent breakfast buffet. Strongly recommend. Have all amenities you can imagine.

This is a must visit Resort if you are planning to stay at the ECR area. The rooms are clean and tidy. The overall ambience looks premium though the prices charged are in budget to the other resorts nearby. Heard that the entire team of crew is new and energetic to offer us a wonderful service during my stay over here. Will definitely recommend this and is worth the money spent. Recently we stayed in the hotel.. The check-in is prompt and quick... Very large pool for swimming connected to room.. Food quality and taste is good... Staff at is very good and friendly. Nice place to stay at weekend with family.

its one of the worst hotel in ECR. They have charged as 5* property but the hotel is worth only RS.1000/-. No room service and you have to come to restaurant for single tea also. in Room they have a small TV (14inch) and normal bed. towel is very dirty it has purchased 4years ago (look like that). No safety in the room, doors all damaged. Swimming pool is very dirty and so much of chlorine in the water. if you swim more than 10 minutes you will get vomiting. No proper play ground for children.

A wonderful place to hang out with friends for a day outing or even as a stay at the place. swimming pool is the best thing that keeps this place a unqiue experience. The whole swimming area is connected to each room being the best thing about this resort. Adventure rides are also good but not as much as it says so. A day outing with friends or family is suggested to be here.

Location -the property is exactly opposite to the side of the beach, easy to locate with your Google map and the lone sign board on the side of the road. Parking - quite a big parking lot, can easily accommodate 20 cars. It is good that they provide simple food for drivers at a very nominal cost. About the property - leaves a lot to be desired.. should be more green to be called as a village... Villa - villa 3 where we stayed is a 2 bedroom property that lies really isolated from the rest of the resort closer to the compound wall at the rear end. The compound wall is partially broken inviting access to animals and lawbreakers. There is nothing much around the Villa to enjoy your evening tea r a chat sitting in the verandah. Inside the Villa - it is really horrible lacking even the basic amenities. Not even an intercom phone. And to add to that, signal receptivity is poor. An air conditioner in one of the room is very very primitive and was non-functional when we arrived but was rectified soon on our complaint. And the geyser in one of the bathroom was non-functional throughout our two days stay. There was a stinky smell throughout the Villa. Holiday activities, that they boast, are all under maintenance.
Now, the only good thing about this resort is food. It's a vegetarian only resort and hence you can find so many vegetarians, jains n north indians thronging here for this reason. The vegetarian food offered here was really really tasty and has quite a good variety to choose from. I am really happy that my children who always find it difficult when it comes to outside food, had no problem at all here... Swimming pool- access to pool from all rooms is unique.. But villa people will find it tough to reach there. And the minimum depth is 4ft... hence kids safety is compromised... And to add to that no life guards on duty... Got a chance to see one of the rooms.. A bit small and ok type.

Overall - village retreat is a vegetarian's delight.... never opt for a villa... Management has a mammoth task in hand. Next visit - LESS LIKELY....

Worst ever resort...found a cockroach in the food..staff is arrogant.. swimming pool water is never being changed..never go there

Superrbbb fun this place has pool attached to room's balcony... So you can directly dive from yourvroom balcony.
This pool is only 4ft in height because you can use pool for full day and full night thata y they dont have lifeguards their.
Their food is alsi incredible.
Check for fun activities also if youre going with family.
