We visited along with friends in Feb 2019. We had a good stay. The resort is well maintained, with tidy rooms and ambiance. The food was decent. The swimming pool has kids and adult sections. I had a great experience at this resort and really enjoyed it. Overall a pleasant stay
The house keeping services are very poor although the property serves good food and the concept of pool connecting rooms are good. Management needs to improve it's hospitality. Average

The concept of the making of the resort to place everything in a right manner which gives you a comfort like a swimming pool just at back of rooms,the features of room were just awesome and I have nothing more to say.
This place is about 65 kms from Chennai on the sceinic ECR. They have great activities like paint ball, foot ball, table tennis, a great swimming pool. The food is decent . The tariffs are on the higher side. The staff is very courteous. Approach roads needs to be improved.

Villageretreat is situated in ECR and it's an excellent place to relax and enjoy a break with family or friends. It's clean and well maintained. Food is very good and the staff is friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful resort. The swimming pool is quite big very clean and pure(Not salty at all).Definitely recommend to others.
Pool is big plus. Accessible from each rooms (not from Villa I believe). Food (Pure Veg) is second plus point. Dinner was great but breakfast was okay. Amenities could've maintained well. The standard room was compact but accommodating four people fine. It's deep into right side of ECR. So beach is not nearby. ATV and Archery was fun, had to pay extra though. They've carrom board and table tennis as indoor games.

One of the best resort to spending the weekend with your family and friends. Initially I little bit upset to enter the veg resort but I had a quality and tasty veg food.Its totally awesome.
But need to improve the gaming sections especially wild-rides,Table tennis bats and archery all are seems non maintenance.

Very far from main Mahabalipuram beach..No WiFi connection inside rooms..only vegetarian food is available..staffs don't understand English..
One of the best resort.Connectivity to swimming pool is good. Food was excellent, suitable for pure vegetarians, south indian dishes like sambar, Rasam, Idly, Dosa too available apart from delicious north Indian food.Big play ground.Room maintenance is very good.

Nice place for family or friends get together. Especially for kids the place is very good. Food was very very tasty and we also get foods for kids as per our needs. Was very convenient for a travel with kids less than 1 year. We enjoyed the whole stay there. Will recommend this to my friends and family.
Great hotel in lovely setting. Excellent service and attention from all staff. Had a wonderful valentines meal. The view from this place is just amazing. A must try place if you plan for a romantic evening. We found our stay not only very enjoyable & comfortable,but the dripping courtesy of the staff in attendance made the buffet breakfast all the more

This resort is around 15 kms from Mahabalipuram near Kalpakkam. You will find it difficult to find the road from ECR to this resort unless you keep an eye on the road signs. It is away from the congestion of ECR. The location is very calm and in a village like atmosphere. Ample car parking available. The restaurant is open only for a limited time and mostly what is available on the buffet menu only. If you want anything, you have to travel to mahabalipuram only.The ambience is very good. All the rooms have their back door opening the pool. The poor is very neat, clean and clear. You can directly go from your room to the pool and back, hence more privacy. The fun games in the resort is on payment basis for each game and interesing.
Rooms are very well maintained. But the other facilities are poor. Swimming pool isn't well maintained, Table tennis is too small. Can improve on the maintenance part

It was great to see variety of food for the buffet and most of them were really yummy. he staff and concierge were absolutely humble especially the ones in charge of breakfast. The resort is beautifully lit with warm lights and is a stunning view in the evening
The pool is so dirty and not maintained well, had to wait for a bottle of water for almost an hour and needed to be reminding them to bring water, the water from the over tank keeps over flowing and no one is bothered to switch if off. We came with kids and they refused to get into the pool seeing the water so dirty. Food was amazing, though we are non vegetarians, we loved the veg food and its variety....amazing food.

I stayed at this place for 3 nights in Jan 2020. I loved the stay here - staff were courteous without being overbearing, the Swimming pool access is amazing, the room was luxurious. Very peaceful stay. I was traveling alone and felt completely safe.
One will be spoilt for choice in terms of food which is served at the center.

I came here in full stress ,now time flew so swiftly that I feel bad I had to check out. Very beautiful place, peaceful, courteous staffs no distraction or disturbance. We were a pax of 2 I thought it is gonna be another usual drive way to get out but they made me change my mind .Now that I am relaxed I will definitely will be back for more but sure with my other family members to have the same feel we had...

As recommended by our good friends, as a family of 4 people, we stayed in the Village retreat. The resort is at a wonderful location and the food and ambience is very good. The outstanding staff at this resort really make stays memorable, and management should be really proud to have such friendly and dedicated staff looking after guests. I just wish we could have stayed here for longer!!
This resort is located on East Coast Road Near to mahabalipuram. This Hotel Has many special features.
The rooms are very well maintained and clean. Its creates more romantic moods with such atmospheres. Foods are very tasty and hygienic. Couples have many to enjoy with including sports activity.

Resort is too good for relaxation. Everything is good about the resort - swimming pools, Cricket nets, TT, Tennis, Children play areas. It is very neatly maintained, good landscaping and very large property with peaceful environment. The staff is polite as well. we will come again next time

High tea is only tea and coffee.. they take ages to refill their bonda and pakoras...
The staff take u for granted..
In short.. their restaurant does not know planning... And very bad in execution..

Comfortable & Pleasant Stay I have been with my friends and colleagues on this may for a company trip in village retreat. Stayed single night in the hotel, the rooms are spacious and well appointed. Have a big swimming pool and huge beautiful garden. Spent the trip with complete fun. Hotel has outdoor games like volley ball, badminton, cricket pitch and indoor games. Will recommend to everyone.
