I buy my village candles at tjmaxx. The price is great. The village brand is better than yankeyankee candles.their scent is strong and pleasant.
My favorite faaaaaavorite brand of candles. I absolutely love their wood wicks, particularly the Fireside fragrance. The traditional jar candles burn a lot better than other brands due to the double wick. Warm Apple Pie is my usual go to, it makes my home smell like I m actually baking. Also, bonus...the best candle company in the World is from Maine (my home)!
Do I have to stop at only 5 stars?! love love love!!! The yearly hunt for a candle" that smelled just like a Christmas Tree is no longer an arduous task, filled with disappointment and high hopes. Enter Village Candle! I must have stood in the shop a good 5 minutes to "make sure" kept re-sniffing! could it really be this amazing? were my senses fooling me? Not at all, Village Candle epitomized the fragrance as if they put the tree right in the jar - Balsam Fir - oh my gosh.. my forever go to now and all year long!! I've expanded my purchases to several fragrances for gifts and personal use. I honestly thought I found a one hit wonder, until I discovered all the other fragrances - honestly, the quality is unsurpassed - everything they've presented is true to scent. I don't mind sharing the fact I"ve researched the website too, and found some very helpful usage recommendations that have extended the life of my candles and kept my family and pets safe to boot!

Teriable customer service. I bought autum woods smells in jar but when you burn it nothing. This is what they reply back with. Tell me to cut wick and burn the candle for three hours to get a sent out of the candle.
I did all that and more like I dont know candels. Un real. Very un happy example of first time buying one never again. GO YANKEE CANDLES. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I truly enjoy these wonderful fragrance expecially the lemon peel room spray i always enjoy when i wake in the mornings and that refreshing smell.

We picked up a Village Candle made in Wells, Maine at Marshalls this week ( Black Bamboo). Had never seen before here in Western Massachusetts. We are familiar to Yankee, Kringle, and Pilgrim candle; it's in our back yard. It smelled comparable to the $25 candle we bought at White Barn candles at the mall (mahogany teakwood). The village candle was so incredible it also smells like Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce cologne. Great quality candle more intense aroma than a Yankee candle. White Barn comes close, and Village candle cost less. I went back to Marshalls and bought the last 4 they had at 1/4 the price of Yankee.

I purchased a cinnamon stick scented Village Candle. After approximately one hour of burning the entire top of the candle was engulfed in flame reaching approximately two inches beyond the glass top of the candle. Using water only intensified the flame and we were forced to use baking soda to extinguish the fire. Luckily we had the candle burning in a central location in our home and quickly noticed a situation that could've been a disaster.
