Do Not! I repeat DO NOT sign up for this mess. I was told that if I were to sign up, that I would receive two $250 gift cards for Walmart after my first payment and I most certainly did not get them. I was also told that my payments will be only $25 but it's actually $49. I've called twice about my gift cards and they still haven't came. Someone actually told me "Well they've already shipped and our records show that they've been delivered." LIES!! After two failed attempts to cancel my service with them, I was told that
1) they've already paid the publisher and the company will lose money,
2) I will have to pay the remaining balance to cancel my service,
3) the only thing I can do is delay my automatic payments, and
4) let's not forget, that the customer service rep told me that if I don't mail my payments in on time, they WILL TAKE it automatically from my account!! (after the fact that I told her I don't want automatic payments anymore)

Please do not follow through with this company. I have two suggestions, either you SIGN UP and be UNHAPPY, or DON'T SIGN UP and be HAPPY.

I was having personal issues with moving a lot and my magazines always follow me and the best customer service I have ever had 2 deal with. Thanks for all the help Viking magazine. I love my magazines

I rather buy a magazine at the store when I want one rather then deal with this company any more. I'm suppose to be done with my last payment. I called my bank they took $177.77 out of my account. So I filed a fraud complaint with my bank and they are withholding the money from Viking because I have proof.

Worse service ever. Customer service doesn't exist. Phone service is terrible. If you want to argue and have a ridiculous and heated start to your day, by all means talk to them.

Pay attention to what they tell you.... and pay attention to what your subscribing to... I hope my magazines are worth it... called the company and started off rough but after willing to listen I really understood... Their not fraud because they warn you and they are strict on their deals but it's just business... Customer service is always their to help.

This company is complete fraud and they will give your payment information out to other companies.

I would have to agree in my own experience with this company has a major problem contacting customers who are interested in canceling their subscription. I can't seem to get anyone on the phone with me or via email responses. I am very disappointed and would advise others to avoid utilizing this companies services. They quickly withdrew $$ from my acct. but refuse to stop further payments.

Was told I'd receive the magazines within 3-5 business days, along with a giftcard, gave it time and haven't received ONE thing! They gave my information to another company also. DON'T bother with them.

This is the absolute shittest company on the plant they say they will work with you but they won't I called twice to talk to someone about canceling my account and got hung up on twice... yes I might have been a little upset but they won't even allow you to explain anything before they tell you are going to pay and there going to add more fees so you doo... and hang up...

Absolutely, Hands Down, The WORST customer service! These people win the prize for unprofessionalism!!!!
The sales reps obviously have no morals when it comes to making a sale! When they played the recording of my "order," I was clearly asleep, slurring speech, only said "uh-huh" over and over because they had all of my info from online I assume???? What a Nightmare!!!

Should have read all this review about this scammers before give them my card information. And all of them are rude on the phone . Telling you you can cancel anytime then when you re ready to cancel they wouldn t do it . Please do not trust this people.they calling me now since I changed my card information and the payment couldn t go through. But when I called to cancel they wouldn t answer my call. THIS IS A SCAM

these bastards! they took my money and now they don't want to answer the phone, cancel my subscription or give my my damn money back. they are nothing but frauds! im sewing them

Panicked after reading the reviews and had zero issues cancelling. They're definitely not a fraud or scam, just too persuasive and I don't read magazines. XD great salesmen, great customer service, just not the product for me.

I will be suing this company for stealing my money. Never knew they were frauds, I purchase magiznes for my little niece because I thought they were a good company. But going through the reviews all I see it's bad reviews about them. I think each & one of us who have been having the same problems we should sue this company. I want my money back but if I can't get it back atleast I wanna be sure they close them down & hoping no one elses gets their money stolen like I did.

They call you at inconvenient times and to tell you that you are passed due and then don't even stay on the phone long enough to get the issue resolved. Terrible customer service.

My husband signed up for magazines through them and then tried to cancel. He owed them about $60 and was making payments. Every contact with their customer service they have been rude,disrespectful and borderline threatening. The CSR who just called me (I am not even on the account) threatened to add to his balance because I dared to ask her a question. Do not order from them!!!

They don't deserve any sort of appraisal, i hate that i ended up with a subscription that i never asked for. First, it went from pch..publishers clearing house to viking magazine,who ended up calling me, despite neither of which i was ever aware of. They keep calling me and asking if i got my magazines, i haven't and at the same time i keep telling them idk how i even ended up getting anything from them when i don't have a clue who they are. They deserve a negative rating.

Just got off the phone with the rudest, most despicable "customer service" rep I've ever encountered!!! Kept cutting me off, said she was doing me a "favor" by cancelling this scam of an order when I called to cancel TWO times already!!!! Extremely rude and I wish they were located in my state because I would drive to the location to talk to them face-to-face. Everyone has a right to cancel something they've ordered EVEN if they've made a commitment. You CAN change your mind! Hell, married people commit to a lifetime together and are able to divorce (cancel their contract) so who in the hell does she think she is telling me I made a commitment and that she'd be doing me a favor to cancel it? I called to cancel the day after the order was made. All companies allow you to cancel. Even if they charge a cancellation fee or some kind of penalty. I feel sorry for anyone who is caught in this wheel of a scam. All I can say is call your bank because they refuse to adhere to any cancellation requests, even when made on a "recorded line". And she blatantly said I would not be getting my money back AFTER I was told a month ago that this would be cancelled. Smh. Karma works on companies also and those who engage in unlawful, unjust, unethical behavior will also pay for their transgressions. How do they look themselves in the mirror daily?

I was not told that after 14 days of the service I was not allowed to cancel my subscription. Sent to a collection agency. Collection agency explained to me that Viking Magazine pays out up to 3, 5 years of subscriptions on your behalf. Then expects you to pay it off for however long it takes at $49 a month. I received a settlement offer to pay $324.35 instead of 648.70 at a 50% settlement offer. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE!!!

When I first got sucked into this scam, I asked several times if I could cancel my service whenever I needed. The man I spoke to,Sam who was a supervisor, told me yes sense I explained that i was currently in between jobs. I was also informed that I would receive $250 in gift cards after my first payment. I stopped payment because I tried to cancel my subscription only to be told I can't. I've made probably 10 payments and still have not received any gift cards. They are continually calling me trying to help me "get rid" of the extra magazine's I'm receiving and get me better ones then tell me it will be $35 extra dollars a month! They went back and lied about their deal of the $250 gift cards so I don't feel bad canceling their payments. They lied when they assured me I could cancel at any time! If I need to, I will change my number and hire a lawyer as some of these other individuals have done. Do NOT get screwed into their "contract" that they can apparently change at will!

It's what you sign up for, don't just rush thur, because you want that $250 gift card it can make you blind to what's being said. Pick from what they got to offer.
They say it would be 25 a month but they ask if your ok to pay 49. And sum change, to pay off faster.
If you have any problems just call them but you must cancel before a certain date. Would of gave 5 star but had a little trouble with confirming email address on phone.. Just got Gift cardsss to a bunch of unknown over priced junk worthless

Avoid it like the plague they are the worst people to work with! You don't get anything they promise you.

This "company" is completely unprofessional, aggressive, manipulative, as well as condescending. When I fist spoke with them they said I could cancel at anytime; however, I realized that while filling out my information to the young woman, my CC wouldn't work due to the simple fact i was getting a new card in a few days, so I told her to cancel my file, if I changed my mind I would call them.

I have recently been contacted from this "company" claiming that "that I had to have called to have cancelled (even though I told them to MONTHS AGO when I was on the phone with them the first time) I will be informing my bank that it is harassment embellishment and I will not be paying a cent to this "company". If they want money they could provide the products they claim to have sent; however, I have received nothing nor any gift cards that was promised in the agreement if I chose to follow through.

It s Been 2 Months Since I Started With Viking Magazine And I Didnt Get My Gift Card Or My Magazines But Y all Have Been Taking Money Out Of My Account Which Y all Need To Put It Back

Viking Magazines have a website that allows you to contact customer services about any changes to your account. They are polite and helpful. When I didn't see a magazine that I wanted on their site to exchange one that I wasn't happy with, the customer service rep was able to quickly help me. If you are on their automated debit withdrawal and you need to change the date they withdrawal from your account, they were helpful with that too.

Wish I could give this negative stars, terrible customer service and even worse attitude, will never get anywhere as a company.

The Viking company when I could get the service they supposed to refund my money on January 6 and here it is another week later and it still has not happened get.

Absolute trash. Gotta wait for months before you get first magazine. Poor selection of magazines and customer service people are rude. Dont waste your time

If I could give this company anything lower I would. They completely misrepresented themselves and we're rude when I tried to call and find out why a substantial amount of money had been taken out of your acct. I have received nothing of what they promised and they responded to me being upset with "well I can't get a worse in so I'll just cancel." Well quit giving me excuses of why nothing has come to me and all this money is gone and you've over drafted my acct Thank You, how about a refund and pay my bank fees!!!

Small company in need of support, they don't have hundreds of selections because there's not that many publisher's.

Was called today signed up but then read reviews so got scared and cancelled. The customer service was wonderful and had no trouble cancelling my order. So I guess can't always believe what u read.

I signed up for magazines and was told I would get a confirmation letter within 2 weeks. I asked atleast 2 times "can I cancel at any time" and was told I could but that they prefer within 14 days. As I NEVER received a confirmation letter or a magazine in over 2 months I forgot about it until I saw my credit card bill. At that time I called and was treated rudely and aggressively when I told them I want to cancel. They refused and continued to charge my card. Suddenly I received piles and piles of magazines I never ordered. To this day they are harrassing me and threatening me with being sent to collections as I put a stop on my credit card. Stay away from them and understand they don't play fair or honest. CROOKS who should be shut down and I don't know why they haven't. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and will go to court with it if I have to but I'm not giving them a penny and would suggest no one else have any dealings with them.

They pay my bills. They're improving their approach every year; commendable that they wish to do right by each customer. Working here has shown me that you can't judge any book by its cover and that you won't know everything until you've worked long and hard enough to excel at your job & learn to care about those you work with and for.

This is a total fraud company. DO NOT invest your time in it. They will not answer the phone for you to even cancel with in the time frame. Then u will have to fight it though your bank. AND trust me its not easy.

Viking Magazine Service is exactly why most people DO NOT sign up for magazine subscriptions anymore because they lock you into a contract and hope you don't read the fine print. They lock you in to a 20 month commitment to prevent people from cancelling. How else can a Viking Magazine sales person make their steady commission?

ALSO, "we can work with you on your payments by cutting them in half" is not really working with you. They'll just double the life of the f***ing account taking you twice as long to pay for.

The higher ups have trained their telemarketing sales people the art of strong arming their customers and disingenuously apologizing for the "inconvenience".
