It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to in my entire life. Don't ever visit Vienna without checking this place out. Every half an hour there are guided tours for with 3 different languages and the staff members are very helpful and polite.

My wife and I went to a 5-hour opera, but my wife's monitor (for the subtitles) was broken. Considering how expensive the tickets were and how long the opera was, it really felt that not understanding what was going on ruined our enjoyment of the opera.
When I sent a complaint to the opera by email, I never got a response. After a month I called to remind them of my complaint, and they just said they will look into that. That was over half a year ago. Terrible customer service.
In conclusion don't expect things to work there and don't expect the customer service to care

One can not not admire this magnificent building, the institution. Vienna State Opera, the most famous is a city institution of this kind, but also one of the most popular operas in the world. For the public was opened on May 25, 1869 with the premiere of Mozart's opera "Don Giovanni". It was built in a neo-Renaissance style on Vienna's Ring. Interestingly, the opera initially did not like their fellow citizens. The reason was that the pompous construction of the "Heinrichshof", which was across the street, considered that its construction of the Opera would ruin its appearance and reputation. The Opera specially enriches her orchestra as well as the members of solist national opera ballet, which with its original and sophisticated sound characteristic of Vienna, and with the music of polka and waltz enrich the collection of annual performances both in the opera itself and in other opera houses around the world where they are present. Depending on the show as well as the position in the hall, ticket prices range from 10 to 300 Euros. This opera house has been hosting the Vienna Opera Ball (Opernball) for decades. It is an internationally famous glamorous event featuring famous names from politics and economics as well as from the world of film, fashion and music. Apart from its remarkable architectural beauty, this opera house is hiding its jewels from the inside where the opera orchestra, with its exceptional sense of interpretation, provides unusual musical enjoyment that translates to its numerous audience with a unique language: the language of music.

I had always dreamt to visit the Vienna State Opera and it was a dream come true moment for me. The building is magnificent in itself from the inside and the outside. Only had seen it in movies before but watching it in real is spectacular. It's suggested to visit the surrounding area both at the day time and night time.
