Try this place out if you re visiting Shem Creek area, food was truly some of the best in the area I tried.

Wonderful location, great views, pretty basic food. All in all: you pay for the scenery and get really boring American food.

Food was good, server was not attentive eventhough they were slow, and had 4 dirty tables to look at while we ate.

Very good sea food here at a reasonable price. Nice views from the outside tables.

Worse customer service ordered fried oyster platter food tasted like burnt grease waiter (will) totally unprofessional rude cussing as he left the table manager (amber) just as rude do not reccomend

View and service were killer. The wait staff was perfectly attentive, knowledgeable and all smiles. Sit outside under the palms and get the best view in Shem Creek!

Great atmosphere service mediocre. One time the bartender ran my credit card and dropped it into the recycling bin never to be seen again. BUT she gave me hella shots of jamo to make up for it. Inconvenient? Yes. Did I get drunk? Definitely.

Breathtaking view of the marsh at sunset and the food is incredible! No trip to Charleston is complete, without a stop at the Vickery!

One of my favorite places to eat in Charleston. Get a table outside and enjoy the view. Burbon shrimp appetizer is my favorite

Seated outside overlooking the water. Beautiful atmosphere, inside & out. We enjoyed a great seafood meal. This was our 2nd time at Vickerys. We will be back!

The food was tasty and friendly service. Price reasonable

Showed up with a party of 20, told us approx 1.5hr wait. They allowed a party of 18 in front of us. Girl goes to talk to manager, comes back and turned down our party of 20. We offered to split up to 5 parties of 4 to make it easier to fit at tables. Still turned us down, because the kitchen staff wouldn t be able to handle it. Does that make sense to anyone?

Service was great, but food was mediocre and the place was run down with buckets catching rain water from the leaking ceiling and a layer of stickiness on everything. The dessert "le bomb" was delicious and easily shareable amongst our group of 5. The atmosphere was fairly child-friendly.

Come here everytime I am on leave. It never disappoints. Good service and great food. I recommend this place to everyone.

Good food, great view of the creek. I highly recommend an outdoor table so you can watch the boats and paddleboarders. The food is great with delicious daily specials.

Greatest place for a Cuban Sandwich in Mount Pleasant, and from a restaurant that's been a part of Charleston for over 20 years.

Accommodated a party of 10 for lunch. Our 4 grand children enjoyed their junior menu items grilled cheese, pasta and shrimp with fries. Adults enjoyed specials and several of the specialty BLTs. Great marsh and Shim Creek views. After lunch we walked the wood walks that parallel Shim Creek and crisscrossed the marsh.

Salty food, and the service was non-existent.
Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes but we were not satisfied or impressed.

The service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. With both indoor and outdoor seating you can enjoy the wonderful view of the marshes. The menu is varied and there's something for everyone.

The food is not great by Charleston standards, but you can get standard bar food. I love coming for cold beer and great views. Downstairs and outside is Muddy's on the water which is part of Vickery's and we go here a lot. Kids play in the sand and on the docks while we sit at picnic tables and enjoy beers. On the otherside of the bar is a great outdoor smaller bar upstairs where we live to watch the sunset over the marsh.

Good, high quality food, though I had to wait 45 minutes for the food we ordered. Serving size is extremely small compared to what you pay for it.

Great place for the view and good food. Definitely southern cooking. Price is fair and quality is good. Crab hush puppies are great, but kind of small. Pork loin was huge portion and the mash that came with. Pasta dishes are good portion as well as the entree salads. Chocolate cake was very good and rich, the raspberry sauce was a great pairing. Enjoy the outside seating when you can. It's serene and nothing quite like it, people kayaking, shrimp boats coming through, even wildlife in the water and air.

Had special bourbon samon, rice and veggies. Samon was tender, no flavor def. not bourbon. Had butter on it and thats it. Veggies were cold and pretty much raw. Burger was good as always along with black beans and rice.

I ordered the fried shrimp platter and it tasted like old grease. The server and manager were notified and they were very rude about the whole situation. The food was not worth what we paid. Do not recommend. Terrible service and food.

Just had lunch and pretty disappointed. Used to be our fav creek place! Restaurant was not busy at all. Ordered Fish Shrimp and grits. Thought it would have both- it didn't. -Just fish. Fish was fried well as was the accompanying green tomato. But both were placed on top of congealed grits. Ugh! My husband's pepper gravy was also served congealed on top. Somehow that would seem like an obvious rule: No congealed food should be served. So sad. We won't be back. Cowboy Saltwater across the creek will get our business now...

Location, location, location. That's what it is all about. The food and service were good. As a non-fish eater, the choices were limited, but that is to be expected. Overall, it was a very good experience. We will go back.

This was my second visit. Very happy both times. Varied menu, beautiful views, inside or outside seating. Prices are reasonable. It would have been 5 stars, but they don't serve frozen drinks. I wanted a frozen Margarita

Ordered chocolate milk for granddaughter, got chocolate powder in water. Menu says Wasabi dip! NO WASABI, EVEN ORDERED WASABI POWDER ON SIDE, It was tasteless! Last time for me. Staff was friendly, but clueless. I feel sorry for them.

Our bartenders were great!! We had so much fun with them. Only had one drink and I would definitely recommend the jerk chicken meal!

I highly recommend asking for the outside area overlooking the river where all the action is. The service was great. The food was delicious. Ask for the artichoke dip. It took awhile to get it because they make it to order ,but well worth it. Prices were reasonable wait staff nice and quick

Food was good and service was on point , bathroom was trashed like a college bar bathroom.

I went with a group of 4, no wait. We sat at an outside table, everybody enjoyed their meal, I had the grouper, it was excellent. We all tried the key lime pie and enjoyed that, the waiter was very polite and refilled my iced tea before it was empty, multiple times.

Great place to enjoy a good dinner with friends! Options are well prepared and can enjoy good variety of beer. Personally I prefer to come on summer time, where you can enjoy the bar " on the beach", located at the first floor in front of the pier

Service was prompt. Drinks were well made. Meals were quickly delivered and so well- prepared. Our waitress was well prepared for our cuisine questions. All six of our meals were tasty. Meals are around $20 each and a good value for what is received.

When it's nice out and you have the chance, take a seat on the outside terrace overlooking Shem Creek, it'll change your life. The menu has something for everyone. I personally love the salads, there's a close tie between the Cayenne Chicken Salad and the Grilled Jerk Chicken Salad as my all time favorites. BEWARE the parking situation - the entire lot gets PACKED at peak hours (*again see comment about when it's nice outside). It can get pretty tricky finding a decent spot (you may have to hoof it) but it's totally worth it.

Had a delicious meal there with my friends on Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning, I discovered I did not have my debit card so I called to see if I accidentally left it on the table. The young girl that answered the phone said I would have to come there to find out. When we arrived, I was then informed that I would have to wait until they open at 11:00 I explained that we were heading back home to Columbia and all I wanted was for her to check to see if maybe my card had been left there from the night before. She was rude and walked away without acknowledging what I said. I walked in anyway and she proceeded to turn her back and got on the phone. I waited patiently for her to finish her call. I asked again, and she told me I could go to the bar and ask them. Thankfully, the young lady restocking the bar was kind enough to look for me and gave me back my debit card so we could head back home. My suggestion to Vickery's: If you want to keep loyal customers, please provide Customer Service training to the rude young girl that was working the front door on Sunday morning, July 19th, or get rid of her!! You may lose some of business if you don't!!!

The view is great, the setting is great, the food is good

Have been here several times and food is good. Even better when sitting on the deck with a view of the creek!

The food here is amazing! The view is awesome! And the drinks are so good. I visit Vickery's everytime I come to Charleston, and I am never disappointed! They changed the shrimp and grits from last year, but it is even better! If you are near, you should definitely check them out! I recommend the shrimp and grits or the gumbo.
